Promise Great Deal. Deliver higher prices

"Traded my iPhone 11 for a new iPhone 15. Was told that it would cost me $70 plus my trade-in. I mistakenly went with it. I paid the $70 and got the phone. 3 days later I checked my account on line. It increased by $85. There was no application of my $70 payment. In addition, there were several features (insurance, protection plan, upgrade feature) added that I didn’t request and was never asked about. Plus, they automatically increased my plan to the unlimited elite without my consent. I went back after realizing this and questioned it. I was told that that’s what all the other phone companies do. I would have to pay my monthly bill with all the extras and hope that they would credit my account in one or two billing periods. And they wouldn’t guarantee that I would get the $850 trade-in for my old phone. In their defense, this is AT&T’s policy. They are a criminal organization. So I’m stuck with this corrupt organization for 3 years until I get the full value of my trade in. ALWAYS make sure you get all the little hidden fees explained to you before buying from this company."

"Se que no me resolverán el problema por aquí, pero espero pueda servirle a muchas personas para que no usen esta compañía de comunicación, son estafadores, te mienten con los planes y servicios, la capacitación que le dan a sus empleados en el centro de llamadas no es el indicado y en las tiendas muy pocos están capacitados, no te resuelven los problemas y siempre sale ganando AT&T y los clientes robados, las promociones son falsas y al momento son los mejores, No USEN esta compañía AT&T"

They deserve a 0 star rating!

"At&t staff is untrustworthy. They never fix the problems. They say things on the calls and chats saying it will get fixed but nothing happens. The customer ends up spending hours on these calls and chats talking about the same issue over and over again as you get connected to different specialist every call/chat to make ATT personnel do their jobs which alas doesn't even happen! I have spent at least 6 hours for a bill discrepency (for an extra charge) which never got solved because ATT thinks its a valid charge on the follow up call I had to make because there was no change in the bill when on of the previous support chats I was told the credit is going to be applied. The ATT staff is clueless about their jobs, And i only say this after multiple expereiences, you get different answers for the same question every support call! And its not even like they provide economical rates!! Its a joke. I'd rather move to another company for a couple bucks more but who know how to do their job! "

Twice the price they promised for slow internet, four times as many spam calls and texts, and terrible customer service.

"We were told when we signed up that our entire bill (two phones with unlimited plans) would be $120 a month and our first bill would be $223. Our first bill came and it was $442!! When I called, they “reviewed the charges” and then told me that was an accurate price. It’s a ripoff. Verizon is way better for the $240 a month (which is our monthly bill now). 5G runs so slow that you may as well not have your data on and it’s extremely difficult to load the GPS app because of constant service interruptions in the 5G. Even the LTE is useless. I get four times as many spam calls as I ever did at Verizon (5 calls just while I was at work from 3p-8p today) and tons of spam texts from people pretending to be AT&T and sending links. I NEVER had this at Verizon. If I wasn’t stuck in a contract, I’d switch back."

AT&T finesses people then doesn't take accounatbility

"I am extremely upset with AT&T. I was originally with Sprint/T-Mobile. An AT&T person basically finessed me saying that she could get my monthly payment down to $40 a month with all these "amazing" discounts. She said I'll be paying a big amount for the first 3 months and everything should go down afterwards. After paying $206.63 in May, $117.26 in June, then $85.85 in July, I thought it would go down to the promised monthly payment, but come to find out, my set payment WAS $85.85, basically the same as my old phone service, but then now I'm also trapped with paying off the $700 phone with the phone service. I called the customer service line, and they told me they couldn't help me and told me to go go a physical store. The physical store then told me they couldn't do anything for me and told me to call customer service or go to the original store that helped me. The store worker also said I wasn't the first person coming in having an issue with AT&T. They had about 30+ people come in with similar issue of being exploited by AT&T. The girl who finessed me doesn't even work there anymore and AT&T does not care about their customers. They are money hungry and truly does not care about helping their customers with their true needs and what was promised to them by their workers. If I could give them 0 stars I would. PLEASE do not switch over or use this phone service to save you money and headache of this phone company unwilling to help you with issues they initially caused for you."

"At&t plain don't give a crap.

I've had their service for 5 frustrating years because it's the only service available in our community. And boy do they take advantage of that. As soon as I dropped DirecTV portion of the service, they added $30 to my internet service, which already sucked. So now I'm paying $70 a month for their top internet that I don't need, and doesn't work worth a crap. Funny how their $40 internet service was available bundled with DirecTV as long as I paid $130 a month for DirecTV (+ $40 for basic internet)

When you call them all you get is excuses and opportunities to pay more money for the same crappy service

Oh but they offered me hbomax. That's great! Except that that's the one channel that their crappy nternet won't stream

I've called several times over the years to notify them of my disgust. I've even called hoping to get Spectrum or anybody else to come into the area so I can drop at&t

At&t is completely aware of my dissatisfaction, but simply don't care
When I call anymore they just send me around the loop until somebody hangs up on me

To big to know what they offer

"I was offered a plan that was never implemented, month after month and hours and hours on hold with billing, customer service, retention and whom ever else they transferred me to, they could never get it right. I was finally offered to return my phones and leave AT&T because I did not want to pay the additional $40 per month per line that I did not sign up for.. I found a place where I could file a legal arbitration complaint. Some one did get back with me and told me that was a deal that could not happen and they do not honor false information by sales people. After my urging to please listen to my conversations with 2 different sales people and at least reprimand them for giving false information. He said he would look into it and get back with me with in 24 hours. After 2 days I emailed him with no reply and figured I should begin my search for new provider and phones. 5 days later I found phones and provider and emailed him again just to be sure, because I did not want to go through the hassle of switching phones again. Still no reply, 14 days after he was to get back with me, at 5:30pm which happened to be the day I switched providers and had At&t phones boxed up and ready to mail back. I returned his call that morning but no call back. So I put phones in mail the next morning, I saw he had called again at 5:45 the next night but w/ no message so I called him back just to see what he had to say and guess what? he told me that yes indeed they did have that plan, I just had to pay off the phones I was purchasing through them. He told me he understood why I cancelled and was sorry for the misunderstanding. I CANCELLED BECAUSE I WAS TOLD TOO AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE! Thanks AT&T!"

"I’m a loyal customer for six years now. On numerous occasions I receive an authorized charges and being penalized for these charges. The only thing AT&T has responded is there sorry for the inconvenience. They never rectify that situation with any course of action. "

This is NOT caring about customers

"I've been working with AT&T's the Business Mobility help desk and the networking team regarding Dead Zone for Data Download, South Jordan, SLC, UT. They have communicated that are aware of the coverage issue and unwilling to fix it. Here's my last communication with them.

Well this is quite unfortunate. It is very disappointing to hear that AT&T, knowingly providing poor service "poor coverage area", acknowledges that it is "working as intended". This is not caring about customers! This is a heavy populated area and causes a lot of frustration for all AT&T cellular customers.

WORST customer service

"I have had at&t for the past 7 years and it has been non-stop issues the ENTIRE time. They continually scam you out of money, nothing ever works how it should, customer service is HORRIBLE, and you pay way more money than they are worth. I have internet and phone through them, and have had SO many issues with both. Internet never works and they are useless on the phone when you try to get it fixed. You get transfered a billion times to people who don't listen to you and your problem never gets solved. You have to go into an actual store to get anything done (and even then, the service is still terrible). I'm truly so tired of them, but I feel like I can't switch to anyone else because I'm kinda stuck. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND getting them. "

lying sales tactics

"my husband and I recently went to the AT&T store to buy him a new phone. while we where there, working with an agent, a female agent interrupted repeatedly to tell us we should "upgrade" our plan to get unlimited data, because 'it will only cost $1 more" and we would get one more phone line. We said no because we had no need for a phone line, but the agent who was heping us was taking so long that we decided to listen to the woman and eventually agreed to the "upgrade." she didn't tell us we would lose our ability to use our phones as hotspots as a result. for the last week we haven't been able to figure out what was wrong, and my husband was finally told we don't have "a hotspot plan." to get the hot spot again, we now have to pay $10 more a month than we were already paying. it was a blatant bait and switch and that woman misled us completely about what we were getting."
