Buyer Beware

"I ended up just paying $180 because it was going to be turned into collections. This is after about 6 hrs on the phone with at least 10 employees and 4 managers each of which told me I didn’t owe the money there was a pending credit that will post after the next billing cycle. Then after 3 cycles the credit never posted and got the notification it was past due and going to collections. The last manager I talked to said there was no pending credit and I had to pay it she would not be doing anything else. Every call had a routine The first person transferred me to the unified department and they would transfer me back to the department that sent me to them, I then ended up in the UVerse department even though I never had Uverse. Then I would go to the billing department and finally ended up in the customer retention department after 45 minutes and no one could ever help me. I even went into 2 stores only to be told by several different employees and 2 managers they can’t really help they are just sales people and would have to call the same phone number I did, which I made them do both times. At the end of the day it’s unfair to the consumer because there is no logical outlet for us. They will turn it into collections with no Dispute and have negative impacts on our credit score and for me its just not worth that."

BUYER BEWARE

"I switched to AT&T 5 days ago and its been nothing but a disaster since I made the terrible decision to switch to AT&T. They charged my debit card twice for same charge and still not processed a refund and have not sent my phone. So I paid double what I was supposed to and have no phone that I paid for and they can't fix the problems that they created. I have to file a fraud dispute with my bank to get my money they stole from me. This company is a fraud and they are scam artist. Then they have continuously lied to me to try to cover up their scam. Trust me unless you want to be over charged and have to fight every day to get the money they "mistakenly" charged you and then not ship the product you paid double for and then be lied to over and over again, then stay away from AT&T. You have been warned. They are dirty. I wonder how much money they make from ripping people off. Its only a matter of time before they get hit with a class action law suit."

Multiple phones sent and an additional line opened without my consent

"After 6+ hours with AT&T over 2 days, I have cell service again. Over chat, in person, and over the phone it had been my experience that AT&T agents are friendly and readily offer to assist, however are not given communication regarding any case their customers, or even ways to directly contact someone who can help. I requested several times, and was denied, a contact email to fully explain my situation so that the correct individual could get ahold of me. 2 days off in a row (which rarely happens in retail) have been consumed with explaining why I refuse to be held liable for a phone that I did not order, but they claimed to have not received back in the mail. This is after a 2 month battle to have an additional line, as well as the above situation removed from my bill.

I have been a customer with AT&T for over 10 years, and have told everyone how helpful they are, and that I've never had any of the problems that I hear of others having with other providers.

Regretfully, I inform you I was wrong. In the past 4 months, a new account was started that I had no access to (instead of transferring service), and it took 4 individuals 3 hours to figure out why, a line was added, 3 total phones sent (only one of which I attempted top order), and I have paid sales tax on all.

AT&T cannot communicate with themselves let alone their consumers. A scripted conversation that loops around to get to the root of an issue that is "documented in the notes" is no way to handle a situation. 2 separate cases have been opened, yet when I lead with offering that information, I am still brought back to the basic questions that have been answered countless times.

AT&T is the worst!

"AT&T doubled my data plan without getting my person by charging me more. I spoke with the representative and he switched to my old plan and adjusted my billing. One month later, my bill is still the high price as i have double data plan. I called them and spoke to the manager and waited for one hour and half. He dropped my call. I had to call back again. 3 hours on the call without any progress. Please drop AT&T if you could and find a better company. "

I am writing this in hopes that I can anyone who considering switching to AT&T. I made a terrible decision to using AT&T. I was loyal customer for over 20 years and in the past month AT&T managed to screw up everything. Customer Support is horrible and needs to be trained. To 1 person that knows what he/she is doing there 10 who doesn’t. Customer Support lies by adding lines to account and adding phone ($800). Then charging customer and not helping customer by solving a problem or giving credit. Manager explained that AT&T doesn’t have time or money to train their customer support so it is okay to lie to customers.

DO NOT USE

"Do not use this company if you want an honest experience. The whole time I used them, they would add mystery channels to my service, and would charge me $30 more than I wanted, you try to call them to cancel, and you can not understand a single one of the people that are on the phone, and talk about stupid, they claimed I called them myself to add it (why would I waste time calling to add something is beyond me). Then after 15 minutes on the phone they'd see that I didn't add it and take it off, then readd it next month... My service would also go down all the time, and talk about slow internet, when it actually worked...Just do not use this company if it is honesty that you want and good service. They are a bunch of crooks and their service ****!"

So sick of customers services

"I been with Att for serval years but after today maybe i need to look for another company who care alot about customers. I update my phone with new s9 buy 1 get 1 free when they have promotions . They charged tax from my account but never delivery phones for me so i called them to get my money back . Omg it took few hours to take someone tranfer to their departments after that they transfer me to anothers departments and few different places like that but no one let me know where my money gone to and they said ot posted already refund to my account but my account dont show anything .hum so sick witj this company , im not reccomend anyone to this company if you dont want loose your money "

Horrible customer service

"They have been betond awful to work with. I called because when I watched back a recording it would freeze and I would miss in average half of the movie or show. We did some trouble shooting on the phone and due to the fact we would be unable to tell if it worked I was reassured if I didn't I could call back and they would schedule a technician to come out. Sure enough the promblem was not resolved so I set an appointment for that Friday at 11. No one showed up. I called to see why but they had no ticket open for a repair for me that day. So I tried to schedule the appointment for another day. The person on the phone said because it had been a few days I needed to try to troubleshoot again. I explained even if we did that I wouldn't know for a few days and I'd be having the same conversation yet again. He continued to try to trouble shoot or if he scheduled a technician I would be charged 250. I asked to speak to a supervisor and then he changes his mind and said they would send someone out on Saturday. Saturday they gave me a 4 hour window and no one showed up after calling they said that they may still come or it may be pushed to Sunday morning. So Sunday morning comes and I get call saying that they don't have time to come out and the lady I spoke with in Saturday had LIED to me. So I reschedule for Thursday and Monday morning I get a text at 1004 saying my appointment has been changed from 10-12. I was at work and did not receive this message until 11. At 11 I called to cancel and change it back to Thursday and they said if a technician was already on the way and no one was home I would be charged 250. Then I listened to my voicemail and the lady I spoke with Sunday took it upon herself to change my appointment. Thankfully no one showed up. I asked three different people to have a supriviosr call me on Tuesday and they all said absolutely( I wanted to discuss the issues I've been having) no phone call. Today ( thursday) my appointment was between 10-12 and they have shown up so now I have been on hold for 30 min waiting to figure out why. If you decide to get att good luck. Waist of time and a waist of money. I've been lied to so many times. "

Terrible Service

"All 3 services (phone - land line, internet, cable) went out on a Thursday. Called in on cell phone and after performing my own diagnostic over the phone for 30 minutes, they determined the router was bad. They assured me it would be delivered Saturday. No delivery Saturday and the office was closed all weekend and Monday due to holiday. Called Tuesday and was told I would need to track the delivery myself - WTF! Discovered it was delivered to the wrong address and was told it will be delivered tomorrow. We'll see. Had to ask about the credit for going 6 days without any service at all. Terrible service. Will be seeing who else is out there."

AT&T ARE NOTHING BUT CROOKS!

"I would like to say that At&t is nothing but a bunch of CROOKS. They have ripped us off, they are trying to charge us over $400 dollars for phones we never used, never even took them out of the box. We sent them back because they lied to us in the first place, they are horrible in customer service and are nothing but liars and cheats. AT&T I ABSOLUTELY HATE YOUR COMPANY! AND I WILL WARN EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT WHAT HOW BIG OF A RIP OFF YOU ARE!

Not Even Worth 1 Star!

"We are moving to a smaller city and could not keep our cable company. Seems AT&T is the only one who offers cable tv and internet. Three weeks ago we called to make an appointment for services and was told we were all set. Since then we received three emails stating they canceled our appointment and three times we had to call and stay on hold for hours trying to work this out. We even had the old owner call and cancel his service so we can set up ours. Then 3 days before our appointment they emailed again now telling us that we cannot get service until one week past our original appointment. You can buy a Kodi box or any other cable type box and save your sanity! I am over this. After 3 hours of BS, we are over it! We are required to leave at least one star. They do not deserve it! I give that 0 stars."

Lazy thieves

"The week of Thanksgiving I went to to my local USPS to drop off two iphone 7 plus one for myself one for my husband. I had done my job and returned the two phones under the att next program. Little did I know ligthening would strike twice. I say twice because the same headache Ive been dealing with this year happened Last year. In late December I get my att bill and I see that I was charged for a phine $398.00 they stated it was never recieved by the warehouse. I was in disbelief I called att and notified them that I had i lndeed sent both phones and that they would have to look in their warehouse. I think what upsets me the most is that they are so quick to charge the account instead of first looking into it.

I spoke to my CSR everyone more useless than the other, bounced around like a ball for department to department. Why may you ask am I so upset because last year the same damn crap happen with ATT we got a letter saying one of the phones was never received and after almost 3 months of hours on the phone with a number of reps guess what they find? The phone that they claimed was never mailed in. After it was found it took them 3 months to take the fee of my account. I had to continue to call on an every day basis for att to finally removed the falsely charge.

So rewind to this year same situation obly this time they are even more useless. I sooke to a CSR who claimed she had found the phone the phone and allow 2-4 business days to refoect on my account. Well been a month so I decided to call. The reps are claiming no such thing was losted in my account and I would have to pay. I told then to listen to the call recorded long and the so call manager at the time had no control over that. He asked me do I know who I spoke to how would I know I was only bounced around 13 times!! Att needs to get there act together if I did not care so much about my credit I would of just never went back. Waiting for this contract to finish to change to tmobile atleast ill pay less than 302 a month!!

10 years of being a customer and I get screwed in the end.

"Had 4 lines on family plan for 10 years, switched to T-Mobile after monthly payments because outrageous. Cancelled with att, requested final bill. They still charged me the next month and have me the runaround for 2 months until I finally ended up paying for something I didn't owe for. Would never recommend their service to anyone else. "
