Worst customer service ever

"Absolutely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I had a payment that failed due to insufficient funds. I removed the payment method but ATT kept trying to charge my card ultimately emptying my account of the little money I have. Then when they finally agreed to refund it. I was given several different time lines for the refund. One person said 1 hour. Another said 24 hours. Then 48 hours. Then 3-7 days. Then back to 24 hours and back again to 48-72 hours. I have absolutely no trust in this company. Apparently they don't train their employees to know even the simplest of things."

They don't care

"I switch from Verizon to AT&T worst experience ever so hopefully anyone who goes through the same thing can refer to this.

I made the switch Nov 3rd. I didn't receive my new device until Dec 7th. I was charged for AT&T service for the month of November and never made a call from AT&T network in that month but whatever life goes on so just let it slide.

I finally get to switch to my new phone all sorts of giddy really excited and when I make the switch everything seems fine. A little slower than what I experienced on Verizon but I can get over it. I find out on the 14th that I wasn't receiving phone calls from any other network than people on AT&T which really **** for me because I am in sales and depend on my phone.

After four days of holding on the phone, multiple pointless chat convo's, store trips I still didn't get my issue resolved. I finally figured out what it was I needed (they ported my number incorrectly) and was able to tell the people I was talking to how to fix my service. Worst experience of my life. No clue how much money I lost, no clue what I missed but they said they were sorry. I was made to feel like nothing but an inconvenience. Terrible first impression and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Worst company

"Got my service in April traded my phone in to get a credit of $800 toward the new phone lied to me about my service working in my place to get my service when I reached out when it started didn’t working in other places they wanted me to pay for the device full price and they couldn’t retrieve my old phone they want me to stay with their service even though it doesn’t work for me they want to give me a booster device caring around everywhere to for the service how ridiculous is this I want out of this company and they want to make me pay for the phone all of it and not even give me my old phone back how is this fair worst company ever, Looking into suing the company"

Don’t care poor customer service

"Been a loyal customer for 11 years lost my job due to Covid so behind was offered two emails offering me 50% off my bill when called them they denied sending the email and refused to help me now the screen is shut off my service and want 600 for me they say they care they want to help me through this but they don’t AT&T does not care about their customers don’t care about what you’re going through and Covid shame on you guys"

ATT/ Direct tv >>>.>>>>>>RUN AWAY

"First of all I've always had cable internet, never had problems. little over 1 year ago they jacked up my bill and would not give me a better deal. At&t just ran fiber through the neighborhood. Costco direct tv rep sold us, and assured us that the contract can be terminated after the first year, plus we had to get the tv service for the package deal.
So they installed copper not fiber internet while i was away at work (wife was home), it was supposed to be fiber, the tech told her it was fiber. The internet speed was horrible. after three months dealing with tech support they finally told me we should get fiber, I was WTH we have fiber.
So the tech lied to us and installed non fiber, the next tech that came out would not show any respect or listen to where I told him I wanted the fiber to be installed. Popped a hole in the middle of the wall on my patio to install it. it looks horrible. **** poor workmanship.
Now that the year has finally arrived, Yeah. We called to cancel. Everything was fine, until they continue to bill us for direct tv, and $200 early cancel fees. (Not "AT&T" but direct tv)
IT WAS A BUNDLED PACKAGE WTF!!!!!!!
So a total of $300 for services that we no longer have.
The top guy on the phone gonna credit me 50 ficking bucks.

WORST PROVIDER!

"If I could give AT&T zero stars, I would! I have lived in several different apartments and AT&T was my only choice for cable and internet. They are the worst cable & wireless provider! My cable is constantly interrupted. It pauses & delays all the time. It would even automatically shut off & reboot by itself while you are watching television (rebooting takes like 4-5 minutes). I’ve missed many important parts of movies, shows & news segments. It is so frustrating! They aren’t cheap either. Total rip off! "

Lied too so I can switch with them

"An in house presentative came to my door while they were installing the internet and made several promises for a new plan and iPhone if I switched with them. My monthly charges are WAY more than what we agreed to. The guy entered my phone number incorrectly, and they charged me 70$ in my first bill for that mistake. Also there are several charges that were made when he promised those would never be charged.

They gave me a time to cancel but now they are not letting me cancel and won't give back my previous phone, even though it is still within the right time window.

I will pursue legal action. This is total dishonesty on their part, absolutely horrible.

"Have tried to activate a phone since Wednesday it is now friday night have had to make many calls to customer care been hung up on told a supervisor would call me ( which never happened) not to mention was told twice I needed a new sim card so trips to an att store Wednesday was told itll be fixed in 24 hours Thursday again told 24 hours today told the transaction was suspended cause the contract had not been accepted but yet I have a phone that doesn't work and have been given the run around for days "

NOT HAPPY

"I have been stood up for the 3rd time today for installation!!!! Terrible customer service!!! So I call and all they have to say is circumstances is the reason I was stood up again!!! Get it together!!! I have spent a lot of $ with you over the last 35 years!!!! When did it become ok to treat people this way?? Let them take days off work and then not show or call!!!!! "

Can’t get installation

"For three days and several hours deep, my installation date changed from the 31st, to the 12th, to the 24th, to the 19th, back to the 12th, then bumped to the 19th without a phone call. No one can help me with the matter. You get transferred to several people. They keep calling a back office and confirm the 12th and then a day later I get a different day. When I call they see notes for the 12th and again call another person who then supposedly says they can’t come on the 12th, when 24 hours ago I was confirmed for the 12th. Not only that, my price jumped from $122 to $129, then to $110 to $126. AT&T is the worst service I have dealt with and I’m a brand new customer that hasn’t even had the service installed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ATT&T to anyone, unless you want to end up in urgent care with the worst migraine of your life. "

"In both directions between Grand Central and Greenwich CT, there’s no service. Bouncing between 4G and No Service. Phone is rendered useless in these areas while on the train. "

poor customer service

"I was told by an Att representative that my husband's phone was possibly malfunctioning because of his sim card.  The rep said he would order one at no charge and we would have it that day!  We went shopping twice (we live 30 minutes from the nearest big city) and could've bought one ourselves if we had known it wasn't coming!  I got an email three days later saying the sim card, that should've been there the day we spoke to the rep, wouldn't be to us for another week!!  i'm so furious!  What terrible service!  They need to train there reps to provide more reliable service instead of just saying what the customer wants to hear!  "
