Bad quality

"They swing arrived full of splinters all over It. It was supposed to be finely sanded.
Some of the wood was split. It was supposed to be alderwood but it is pine. Then all the wood molded. They were supposed to send a pick up for it and give us a refunded they never did.

Horrible Company!!!!!

"The porch swing company, if it even is a real company, is horrible!!!!! We ordered a swing on April 1, 2018 and still have not received it. We paid $600, which they immediately processed the payment and promised delivery with 15 to 20 business days. It has been almost 2 months now and still no swing. The real kicker is that this so called company has virtually no customer service!!! Everything is done via website or automated email responses. After many many attempts to contact them, someone did eventually call us only to lie to us and make empty promises. They have no idea what they are doing!!!! This has been the worst experience we have every had with any company ever, hands down!!!!! At this point we are doing everything possible to get our money back, which by the way, is also not easy!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! ITS A SCAM!!!!!"

missing parts

"I am missing one of the 27" Swing Chains for my order. I am not happy about this. I hired a contractor to assemble this and upon unwrapping the box he finds that there is only one chain. This is impossible to hang without the other chain. So I spent $100 for this contractor to assemble this and still had to pay him for his service call driving out to my home. Only to find he could not do the project because your company failed to include the proper piece. Then I will have to pay him another $100 to come back out and assemble this once I receive the correct chain. I cannot express how upset I am. I spent $345.69 and I cannot even receive the proper assembly pieces? That is beyond concerning. I need this addressed immediately."

Porch swing that has warped

"I paid almost $300 for a swing that was treated with sealer. Over a period of 6 months, the swing seat began warping and now is very noticeable. The slats on one side have worked their way almost out of the screws holding them in place. When I contacted the company and sent them pictures, they wanted me to ship the entire swing back so they could "evaluate it" in spite of the pictures. I asked for them to only send me a new seat portion to replace the warped seat. They said the entire swing would have to be shipped back. I already paid for shipping once and UPS wants over $100 to ship the lower portion back. Not paying again. I will let it sit next to a much older swing, from another company, that is not warped and will tell all my neighbors what a crappy product it is, although it is already very obvious."

Poor Customer Service

"I ordered 2 rocking chairs through this company. They arrived, I had them professionally assembled, and placed them on my balcony. Less than 2 months later 1 of the rockers broke. I contacted Porch Swing's customer service and they tried to help. In the final analysis, the manufacturer, Dixie Seating, said the break was due to misuse and did nothing, they didn't even offer to provide replacement parts. In my household are only me and my husband, no kids or big dogs. The chair broke while I was rocking and reading a book. Misuse?

Porch Swing told me they couldn't help further and sent me to the manufacturer. I expected better of this company, but wouldn't have if I'd read their reviews before purchasing. Now, I have 1 broken rocker and no simple way to fix it.

Missing parts not received since July 15th

"I have purchased a swing stand from The porch swing company. Two parts were missing in the shipment. The only way to contact their customer service is by filling in "a missing part form" which i sent to them on July 15 th. Below is the response that i received.

Thank you for your recent contact. We apologize the correct assembly parts were not included with your recent order. We have already contacted the manufacturer to have them sent as soon as possible. Typically, all of our manufacturers are very responsive and ship them within 2 Business days. We again apologize for any associated inconvenience.
No parts have ever been shipped to me. no other emails from them.

No support - order not shipped in time promised - can't reach anyone on phone

"There seems to be absolutely no way to reach a live person for help after you place an order. Originally the Website showed my item will ship in 5-7 business days - but did not happen. You call and get a recording basically saying no one can help me unless I email or open a ticket or some such thing. They also never responded to a pre-sales email - I should have known how this was going to go then. Guess I'll wait the 30 days and file a credit card charge back. Avoid this company."

Nice Swing but missing hardware and terrible customer service

"I ordered the 5 ft. swing and stand set. There were a couple of problems:

- The swing shipped with missing hardware
- The stand shipped with no hardware or no instructions

These problems ended up wasting a bunch of time with back and forth trips to the hardware store (Thanks again guys for decimating my day off!). Customer support is not open on the weekend so I had to figure out for myself. It even took them close to a week to get back to me about the problems. When I pay $600 for a swingset- I don't expect to have to buy the hardware. All I got for the trouble was a terrible excuse of an apology. Never again buying from these guys!

Zero Customer Service

"DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a swing bed and cushions, spending in excess of $4,000.00. showed the swing was shipped but I only received the cushions, I called but could only email to check on shipping. After days (and receiving the swing) they finally emailed me to tell me that it was shipped. I thought my nightmare was over but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the chain to hang the swing was not long enough. I called because my contractor needed the chain ASAP. I left a number of messages because NO ONE ever answers the phone only for them to only email me and tell me they will look into it. I begged to talked to a person but NO ONE would ever return my call. Still don't have it hung!"

No Customer Service

"I had my order ready to complete, and quickly decided to look for an on-line coupon. That's when I saw how poorly the customer service was with The Porch Swing Company, as evidenced by numerous complaints on-line about very slow shipping and lack of customer service. Since I needed this swing for a grad party at our home in 3 weeks, I decided to hold on the order and call the customer service number, even though it was during the week during normal business hours , no one answered, but I was able to leave a message. I left a message requesting a call back about an order I wanted to place. It has now been about 3 weeks, no return call from the company. I did find the same swing, at a slightly higher price on Overstock. com and Wayfair.com. I ordered from one of them and the swing was at my door in less than a week. Buyer Beware. "

Scam

"I just purchased a swing that was close to US $ 1,000 and it is an unusable ****! The "wood" is so maleable that just putting the bolts in cracked it. The bolts that hold the swing frame were not long enough (or the predrilled holes were not deep enough) so it was impossible to assemble. The paint was still wet. The instructions were typed in one page without a single picture and it looks like an 8 y/o did it. Not all the pieces listed on the page came and the numbers were also off. They don't answer the phone. And they have an arbitrary policy that they call "easy returns" but is in fact excluding returns for most of what they sell. And I definitely understand why!! They simply can't stand by their products!!!! Hahahaha. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but they will give me the money back. "
