"Do not use this company. I ordered my sons college books. They sent books with their own ISBN stickers which were the correct numbers ordered but on the wrong books. The ISBN stickers were on incorrectly! A huge mistake that is hard to discover until you learn the hard way. POOR customer service!!"

"The seller that I purchased a book from was dishonest and did not disclose the right information about the product. He/she said that the book was a hardcover when it was in fact a loose leaf edition. I would not recommend this website to anybody."

"I also got defrauded by this company. This company may be involved in racketeering. They will post very low prices, take your money, let you wait a long time since their prices are very low, maybe invest all the money they've pooled from our orders. and then refund after 3 weeks - 2 months. The police authorities or the FBI should look into this."

"I brought an access code from them to use in my online math class for 44.00 dollars. I called two times to make sure that if the code didnt work that I would be able to get my money back. When I recieved the code it was wrapped in plastic and the only way to see it was to unwrap it from the plastic. Guess what? the code didn't work and they told me that it was my fault because I ordered the wrong code. I didnt order the wrong code according to their website this was the code for the ISBN number that I entered. I had to call several times before speaking to a supervisor and I finally got a hold of one named Eric. He didnt seem very apologetic and simply told me that theres nothing he could do because I opened the package and they dont accept returns unless the item is in new condition. How can I know if the code worked if I didnt open the package? I was set up by them to fail in this situation. There should be a way for them to check to make sure I havent used the code yet, they think that I have used the code already and trying to scam them (thats what a representative named Brandi told me). I cursed out Eric and i've contacted the better business bureau. Ive also contacted the department of consumer affairs. I will not be taken advantage of by these people. I will tell everyone I know to never order from this place. Im digusted with the service I recieved. They over promise the customer and under deliver. No one should ever give this company their money. I think everyone should boycott this company. I feel so offended, these people are low down dirty dogs. And Eric is a poor excuse for a manager. "

"I placed an order for a textbook, was charged, and on the website stated "in process" for weeks. When I inquired about the order they stated they shipped it the next day, and must have been lost in the mail, but offered a full refund. I don't believe they ever shipped the textbook."

"Will NEVER EVER place an order with them again, unless I have several weeks of time before I'll need a book.
I placed an order for a book. Order was confirmed and my credit card was charged so I let a really good deal from another merchant go since textbooks.com offered a little better price. The next day my order was canceled, so now instead paying $39, I have to pay $108 plus $3.99 shipping since all the books at better price are sold. They sell books that are already sold. The system is not current, go to Amazon, at least you know what is still available and what is sold. If I could I would give them NO star at all!!!!!!!

"I will NEVER order a book from this website again! I needed this for a class right away so I paid $20 extra to ship it and they cancelled my order without telling me! I was waiting for this book never got an email or anything then when I checked the website it said cancelled, order declined. This is a terrible website!!"

"I am buying my books here for now on. If I went to my school to buy these books the price that I bought them from this site would have doubled. The books were in great condition and they were used!! They were delivered fast and effective within about a week.I'll most defiantly buy again!"

"I sold several books to textbooks.com because after comparing, they seemed to offer the best buyback prices, along with a free UPS shipping label. And my check was mailed to me very quickly; I was expecting up to two to three weeks as the email stated, but it was mailed within a week after they received the books. I definitely will continue to do business with them.

Side note: I also bought a textbook from them through Valorebooks, and I thought that their shipping time, price, and quality of the book were excellent.

"I do not recommend purchasing a book from textbooks.com. After my first order for the book I needed was cancelled by a different book site, I had to buy it for $20.00 more from textbooks.com. I ended up paying $80.40 for a book that was described to be in "good condition", and when I received it, it was anything but. The back cover was torn, the front cover was scribbled over, there was writing in most of the pages, and many of the pages were torn at or bent over. I contacted them saying how displeased I was, and they said they did not have a better copy to exchange with me, but I could be given a 15% discount on the book I bought, or a full refund if I returned it. Needless to say, I returned it. I found a brand new copy of the same book for ten dollars less on a different site. So, believe me, look elsewhere for your books."

"DO NOT BUY from these people. On July 7 I ordered a book from Punky Dunky Booksellers through Textbooks.com. It didn't arrive for a long time - and THEN on July 31 I got an email that my order had been "rejected" because they sold the book to someone else. WTF?? I need that book, and it took them over three weeks to figure out they don't have it? And what is up with selling it twice anyway? Back to Amazon.com for me - "

"We placed an order of some textbooks from Textbooks.com on July 7, 2011. One textbook did not arrive 14 working days after it was shipped. The book was shipped by BetterWorldBooks, an affiliate of Textbooks.com. Customer Service at both Textbooks.com and BetterWorldBooks are very slow in response. When BetterWorldBooks did respond, the response was nothing more than covering their behind - they could not provide any mail tracking info but said that USPS might be slow in delivering the package. The fact is all other textbooks placed at the same time had arrived one to two weeks earlier. Don't use Textbooks.com or BetterWorldBooks."

"I bought a used Microbiology book from textbooks.com... clearly stating WITH ACCESS to MasteringMicrobiology. Guess what? Arrived with no access. Customer service tells me that it doesn't matter if it SAYS it comes with access in the order, if it is used, it won't come with it. Does it tell you this anywhere on the order page? No. You have to search around for the answer. They tell me I can send it back to them, not including the price of shipping to me ($11.95) and price of shipping back to them. So... basically I'm already out $20 if I send it back to them, and then I have to go ahead and find another book, while I'm already in the class, I don't have bottomless pockets, and when I ask for the $20 difference to buy the most minimal version of MasteringMicrobiology ($40), he tells me no. That's their policy. I told customer service I was about to tell everyone I could not to purchase from them, so here you go. DON'T DO IT. "

"Thought I was getting a great deal, but when I shipped the text back for the buy back program they told me the CD was not with the book. I never opened or removed the CD. They said I had one week to mail them the CD or I could pay $12.95 to have the book shipped back to me. I emailed back telling them I would contact the Better Business Bureau and my State's Attorney's Office, they checked it again and found it. They sent me the check as promised after I threatened them."
