"The boiler engineer was booked for a service between 2pm and 6pm on a Friday pm, at 5.15pm PF called to rebook for Saturday am between 9am and 1pm. At 12noon PF called to rebook for Tuesday. I had now taken two half days off work and was expected to take a third. I declined."
"A complete set of cowboys -- avoid like the plague. I booked them for a boiler service and was advised this would be a fixed, flat fee of £79. Their engineer was to arrive between 8 am and 12 noon on 11 September 2019. He arrived at 3 in the afternoon, serviced the boiler (all ok, all working fine) and then looked at the outlet pipe, said a reading on his probe was not right, decommissioned the boiler and cut and capped my gas pipe. He said he might be able to return on the Friday, 2 days later, to fit a new boiler as fixing the old one (14 years old) was not worth it. He advised the office would be in touch with a full quotation in due course. By Thursday afternoon I had heard nothing and so rang them. The girl in the office said the boss was out but she would leave her a message. The office boss returned my call early on Friday morning and said she would get a full quote to me by the end of the morning, I heard nothing. On Friday afternoon I checked my credit card and realised they had charged £98.40 for the boiler service which I queried by email. Their reply (on the Monday) said the service was flat, fixed fee plus VAT and that this was what I had been advised (it is not what I was advised!)... this makes it an expensive boiler service compared to other companies which are all around the £80 mark. She also said that they had all the information from the engineer for the quote and I would hear from them shortly. It is, today, 1 October and I am still waiting for the quote to arrive. They turned up late, over-charged and decommissioned my boiler leaving me with no heat or hot water and then failed to make any contact for now nearly 3 weeks. I'd have more faith trusting **** Turpin."
