horrible

"I ordered a dog bed and received only the padding and not the cover. When I called customer service I was transferred multiple times, put on hold, hung up on, and blatantly lied to, without any resolution. I decided to return what I had and get a refund only to discover that I would have to pay for shipment. It was going to cost me $80.00 since the package was so large. I got absolutely NO help. They really don't care about their customers. This bed cost me $220.00 and they did nothing to help me. I have a feeling that I would not get a refund so I just gave up. Do not do business with this company."

BEWARE of monthly charges

"It took me years to figure out this company was charging me to be a "VIP" member. When I lost my job and every penny counted to pay my REAL bills not some NOTHING fake club that ended up charging me hundreds of dollars for an itemI had bought that was well under that price tag. DO NOT BUY from this company, they are scam artists. I agree they have noice stuff BUT it isn't worth the small print that will cost you more than double the original price tag.

And yes, I did finally call, wait on hold forever to speak to someone who laughed and said yeah we get that a lot then could only cancel my subscription that I had NO CLUE I was subscribed to and only reverse the last charge to my account.

BIG LESSON LEARNED. READ ALL THE FINE PRINT and NEVER BUY FROM In the Company of Dogs. The only Company they keep is with your wallet.

Overall don't use them (see details below)

"Overall don't waste your time and money, order directly from the manufacturers of these products. The savings this company claims are not worth it.
1. i ordered a lot of their products only to get a message after the order that one was backordered with no date. I cancelled one backordered item shortly after ordering it and then 2.5 months later received it and was charged for it.
2. After over a month without any updates after I placed my order, i checked the online status and it all said in progress or backordered. When I reached out to support they told me my credit card was rejected so I had to give them more information to finish the order. Unreal that I had to reach out to learn that information. The credit card was perfectly valid and they had no explanation for why the card was rejected and I was never altered.
3. Several months after my initial order I started getting charged for their VIP club. I never signed up for their VIP club and have no record from them that I did so. It took a long time to resolve this with support. I had to block the charges on my credit card vendor's side to stop the bleeding before the Company of Dogs finally confirmed the cancellation and stopped charging me.

Don't Bother!

"It took two weeks to receive a dog collar that was sent from the east coast to the west coast. An extra $5 for "rush order" still took 4 days to ship. Products are very expensive and shipping costs are ridiculous! I ordered another collar for my other dog from Chewy.com and had the collar 3 days later for half the cost of the collar and half the shipping costs! Done with this company. Should have read the reviews first."

Terrible customer Service!

"I have always loved the sweatshirts from this catalog, I have 4, and a leather and sterling bracelet. My husband knows he can buy me just about anything from their catalog and it will be a great gift. Well, I’m done with them! He ordered me a sweatshirt on December 4 for Christmas. It never arrived. No email explanation, just no gift. He reached out to them inquiring and was then told “it’s on back order”. I finally received my shirt in early February! No apology, no further communication from them, just the shirt. The shirt was $44.95 plus shipping and was about half the weight of my other ones from them. It is very lightweight, not mentioned in the catalog description and nowhere near a $45 sweatshirt. Then, to top it off, when the credit card bill arrived, there was an additional $14.95 charge from them. When he called, they said he had joined a “VIP club” which according to the representative gives you free shipping or cash back on purchases. He received neither. He was told he would receive a refund on the charge.
I am so disappointed. This company has nice products, though a bit high priced, I was willing to spend the extra on their unique items, but I am done.

Only Concerned With Profits

"After five days of receiving an order confirmation number and a tracking number, I had received no shipping updates, so I made an inquiry. In the Company of Dogs referred me to FedEx. Fed Ex said that though a label had been made, the seller had not sent them the package.

The vendor's use of technology discounts the importance of a need for personnel to tend to situations out of the norm. I have no doubt that should I cancel the order, it will take 6 to 8 weeks to have my money refunded, if at all.

This company is clearly interested in "getting the money." and nothing else matters.

Company is a scam!!

"Ordered something for my dog and paid 45 dollars for 1 day shipping. I was never alerted in anyway that the item was back ordered, even on my order confirmation. The only way I found out was 4 days later I had to actually go on the site and click view order status and scroll all the way to the bottom where it finally said back ordered. Company is terrible. Do not do business with them. "

Sectional cover delivered with urine/hair

"Do not order from this company! I would give it zero stars if I could. I ordered a sectional cover and when it came it was obviously used as it was covered in animal and human hair, had several mystery stains and one big spot of what was obviously urine....so gross! What kind of company sends something like this out! I immediately called customer service and they could have cared less. It was very complicated to send this back, which I did within the hour of getting it. No return shipping label and I had to pay $20 to ship back, supposedly this will be reimbursed when they get the package. Oh, and I had to call back and give them the tracking number AND they wanted me to FAX them the receipt to prove I had paid for shipping—crazy! Find somewhere else to take your business. "

Worst customer service ever!!!!

"I ordered two dog collars. Sizes large and extra large. I had a feeling the order would be incorrect as the rep although she spoke English seemed to have a comprehension problem. Received a e mail confirmation that night for two collars in extra large. Called the company that night spoke with another person from the call center in Korea said I needed service level two which was not open. Called the next morning got an American who said she would take care of it. Got my order today with two Xl collars. Called today got the call center who connected me to level 2 customer service. I held on for 50 minutes listening to a recording that said they would be right with me. Decided to call from another phone ( while still holding so I would not miss my place in the cue) I was informed level two was closed today . The collars I ordered are very poor quality. Uneven stitching cheap plastic closure personalization has loose threads. I’ve had a problem with this company in the past but decided to give it another try cause they have some cute things in the catalog but I’ve learned my lesson"

Never Order from this Company

"I ordered a gift online - matching hat and scarfs for small and large size dogs for a Christmas present to be dropped shipped as a gift. Only one arrived - come to find out the other was on backorder for 3 weeks and then canceled. They lied from day one! I was embarrassed that the complete gift did not arrive. It is hard enough to find a unique gift for someone has it all! "

"wife called the order in and not told if processed on line to get a 20% discount and they put it thru as expedited shipped and told me my wife asked for that but she did n[t and the book even says free shipping so because they put it thru as expedited it cost me $47.93 shipping charge, will never do business with this cheating company again. "

They Should Be Cited for Fraud

"Like another customer, I was also "enrolled" in a VIP program, which I DID NOT authorize. I called to have the charge reversed and cancelled the erroneous enrollment. I also told them they'd lost a customer - and received no reaction but "have a nice day!" Terrible company. "

Horrible Customer Service - Buyer Beware

"I ordered a very expensive ortho dog bed that claimed it was made in the USA on 12/6/19. I called them to verify they had my city spelled correctly because it was wrong on the order and then called a week later to get an update and a tracking number. First of all, each customer service rep has a heavy foreign accent. The second rep told me it had shipped & gave me a FedEx tracking number. The package stalled in Fairburn, GA for 3 days. FedEx told me to call the shipper to ask them to file a claim so an investigation could be started. In The Company of Dogs then told me the bed was shipping directly from their manufacturer and refused to contact them. They also refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I tried to call again to get a different rep after I told the person I spoke to to cancel my order. My number is now blocked and I can’t get through to Customer Service. So they lied about the shipping then, told me it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get the dog bed, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, then blocked my number. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Bottom line, avoid this company like the plague. "
