Customer Service return

"I purchased clothing from Christopher & Banks for my 87-year-old mother for Christmas. She needed to exchange sizes, so she called for return labels... Never sent. She then called customer service and was told she could not return because it was only 3 days before the 30-day time limit on return policy was up. I then called and asked for a customer service rep and was told none were available and one would call within 24-48 hours… no call was received. My mother next day aired her return to make the 30-day return policy to address on the web listed for them. I emailed them and was told that the address she sent it to was their Corp office. If I sent a tracking number they would trace for her. Three weeks later no response. I emailed again and received an email stating that they need item numbers and tracking numbers and that the address the return was sent to was the Corp office… they also stated they provided a QR scan code on the original receipt that would have directed the return to the right place., 87-year-olds don't use QR codes or know what they are! I emailed them again and asked for a call back… no. Response! Sent my final e-mail and said would be writing this review and my communication with them was done. I strong feel that they did not show support for my mother and it borders on age discrimination! At what point do not pick up the phone and assist the customer especially an elderly one?"

Fixing mistakes

"If you order and they send you the wrong item, be cautious, they hold you responsible for the shipping when they send you the correct item. So you pay for shipping on their error and then shipping for the correct item."

Good luck gettiing your refund!

"Ordered $261.53 worth of merchandise; returned 6 items, mainly due to quality. It's been nearly 2 months and multiple calls and chats, still no refund. Absolutely unacceptable."

Terrible Customer Service

"I returned two pairs of pants months ago and have not received a refund despite several attempts to obtain it through customer service. Lip service every time I contacted them. Purchased in June and this is October."

Stealing Customers Money

"I returned 4 items (2 sleeveless tops and 2 matching cardigans) that didn’t fit. I received credit for 1 item. I haven been trying to get the rest of my credit for over 3 months. They keep telling me that my return is coming but it never happens. Be careful if you buy from them. They are stealing customers’ money. If I could give negative stars I would. Tired of the run around. "

Not the same store AT ALL!!! Stay away!!!!

"I was a loyal customer of Christopher & Banks brick and mortar store before the covid virus shut them down. Their merchandise was priced fairly and the quality was good. I loved going there. This new, online business is the exact opposite. Not only is the quality of the merchandise horrible, customer service is a joke. I ordered 3 tops and was short shipped one. I'm still waiting for a credit for the top that was not shipped. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere unless you enjoy headaches from fighting with customer service."

WOW...How the Mighty Have Fallen

"Used to love this place and did all my clothes shopping from here. I was dismayed to hear they were filing Chapter 11 and closing all their stores but they said they were continuing the online store. Got an email that you had to order by Dec 14 to receive your item on Dec 24. I ordered a top on Dec 13. Found out shipping was no longer free for Friendship Award members because they sold the mail order to another company and did away with the Friendship Awards. So instead of free shipping, I paid $5.99. Here it is Dec 24 at 4:13 p.m. and the tracking showing my UPS Mail Innovations package is in Ohio (I'm in PA) and will not get here today. I will ever order from this place again, especially reading review of how awful the CS is now and the clothing is no longer high quality. "

Christopher and Banks is no longer great

"The C @ B store that I shopped at closed down. Bankrupt, I was told. On line shopping can be done. Ordered three tops on line, paid shipping. Took about a month to get my tops. One fit, One was huge, and one had a flaw. Called customer service. Had to deal with the most rude woman re: return of the flawed top. I had to literally tell her what was wrong with the top. Where it was located on the top, and what was wrong w/it. It was an unpleasant experience, and something I had never been through. She said I had to pay return shipping, and I would be credited for another on line purchase. Seriously. I asked if this was policy, and she nastily said, "Yes." No refund for shipping to or from! I paid $16.53 to U.S. postal to return this. She said I had to call back once I shipped the top. I called back the next day and spoke w/ a young man who was pleasant, but gave conflicting info. He said, I should have kept the top, and would be sent a replacement. I told him it made no sense as anyone could abuse that policy. He said I would probably not be reimbursed for my return shipping, so I asked to speak w/ his supervisor. He said someone would call back. I waited for several days, and called them to request the help of a supervisor who never called me. Another lady told me the supervisors were very busy, and someone would call back sooner or later. At this point, I really discovered C@B has gone to the dogs. Two more days went by and a supervisor called my phone which I was not available to answer and she left a brief message that she had called (this is getting crazy) and if I had anymore problems to call customer service. So, I had now gone full circle with no help and was back to where I started. So, for the fourth time, I called customer service and said I had missed the supervisors unscheduled phone call, and what do I do now.....I wanted my refund of $16.53. At this point another lady said she did not believe I would get my refund for return shipping of a flawed top, but I could email their customer service. I was totally blown away by the runaround and pathetic treatment by a once decent company. I was also told Homeshopping Network had bought out Christopher and Banks. Wow. This was insane. I next contacted customer service by email. I explained the rude treatment, the mixed instructions, the lack of policies followed, and I also discovered the first rude woman I had to deal with lied. There is no policy to return something and have to get online credit to purchase something. At this point, I simply wanted my money back and wash my hands of this pathetic company. I did receive a pleasant response that said I would not get a refund for shipping back the bad merchandise, but they would compensate me with a credit of $20 for an online purchase. Yep. Exciting. So, for anyone reading this lengthy blow by blow experience (of which I left out other details...too long) with Christopher and Banks, please save your money. Find a better company to do business with, it will save you so much time and of course your money. "

"Tried to place an online order since stores closed. Had a merchandise credit that they will not honor. No supervisor can override anything! No compensation available. Feel they stole from me! I JOIN THE LIST OF UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS WHO WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NEVER GO BACK!"

"I have been a customer of Christopher Banks for the past 25 years. I have ALWAYS been pleased with their service until today. I ordered a sweater that I paid shipping on to receive. Once I opened the package there was a hole in the front of the sweater. I called customer service and was told not only did I have to pay shipping to receive this defective sweater but I also have to pay shipping to return the defective sweater! I am furious and I am done with you Christopher banks...no wonder you had to file bankruptcy!!! "

Poor Service! 3 Weeks Later Items Listed as in stock still hasn’t shipped - SHOP ELSEWHERE!

"When placing the order all items ordered were list as in stock. After a week they hadn’t been shipped so I contacted the company (after a very unpleasant conversation I requested a supervisor….supervisor was unavailable and never returned my call). Week two: items still had not shipped, contacted company again (still couldn’t get a supervisor to assist or return my call). Week three: items not shipped and could not get a supervisor. Their only statement is they are having difficulty getting items shipped out. Hopefully my order has been cancelled per my request. "

Refuse to correct their mistake

"I ordered a top in a size M but they sent a 1X. When I called and asked for a shipping label to return it for the right size, they insisted that I will have to pay the return shipping on it even though it was their error. They will then give me an e-credit in the amount of return shipping to spend on something else in their store. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there are no supervisors available. I'm not interested in an e-credit to purchase another top as I don't want to do business with a store that won't stand behind their product and correct their own error. In my estimation, this is dishonest."

Poor customer service

"I ordered 3 tee shirts, red, blue, white. Package arrived with one white and two blue. Called customer service. No problem I will ship out a red shirt to you and you can keep the blue. Oh wait, we don't have any red in your size. Send the extra blue back to us and we will refund the price. But you have to pay for shipping and when you know how much it will cost call us and we will give you a e-credit for the amount of shipping. Not going to happen. Every other place I deal with sends out a prepaid shipping label via email. I asked to speak to a supervisor. There aren't any in right now, but rep will put a note on my file and have one call me. A week later nothing. Interesting how I could keep the extra blue shirt and they would send me a red too. I loved the brick and mortar stores. I'm done with the online store. Not ordering from them again."
