Terrible Customer Service

"I was very excited to place my first order with Christopher & Banks. They were having a great sale $10 per perfect tee plus $20 off $100 and free shipping. I picked out 10 t-shirts and the price for each should have been $10. When I went to check out they had the prices shown different ways, for example, $11.70 and $8.60. The total came to $104.95 which was $4.95 more than it should have been. I tried the on-line chat and was given a number of excuses before finally being told I was right and they were having a computer glitch. They wanted me to call in the order for the advertised pricing, then they asked me to accept the prices as is and then call to have the $4.95 credited. I asked for a manager, none was available. I made the decision to cancel the order, they don't seem to be able to fix their problem and are not that concerned with my order. Very disappointed!"

"Best customer service in the state of Wisconsin at the Rice Lake store! Couldn't ask for nicer people to work with who truly care and like their customers! Don't ever leave! My friends and I always find something to purchase and when there are sales they are super great! Thank you! "

Terrible customer service

"My experience began in Evansville Indiana. I saw a vest in the store that I really liked but they didn't have my size, so I was told I could order and have it delivered to my home. I did that. After waiting in line for over an hour. I got back to my hotel, as this was an overnight Christmas trip with my friends, and saw that the lady had ordered the wrong color vest. The next morning I called the store to see if this could be fixed over the phone, and I was told that the order could not be cancelled but she would order the right color vest for me and I could just return the other one. When I returned the vest to my hometown in Elizabethtown Kentucky. I was told that I could not get a refund, only store credit. keep in mind this was a mistake on an employee's part that I had the wrong color vest to begin with. Nothing I could do will help the lady understand the situation. I finally just said I'll keep the vest. So now I have two vests, a blue one and a gray one, when I only wanted the blue vest. I will never ever again shop at this store."

I love C&B, HATE their credit card processing company - DON'T USE C&B's CREDIT CARD

"I placed an online order on 8/8/19 and immediately set up a payment to pay the balance off on the next statement. The payment didn't process, apparently because 8/8/19 also happens to be the close of the billing cycle. They did not send me a statement for 8/9/19 that would have shown the payment didn't happen. On 9/9/19 I received a statement for the amount purchased on 8/8/19 PLUS a $29 late fee and interest. I immediately paid the purchase amount, not the late fee. I contacted the credit card customer service multiple times to get the late fee waived since a flaw in their system didn't process the payment I set up. They refused to consider the waiver. After continued messages, my card is now cancelled and they threatened to report the unpaid late fee to the credit card bureaus. I paid their ransom late fee and will NEVER shop with this store again, and definitely will never deal with a credit card company that doesn't allow you to set up auto payment of the credit card balance every month. Their system is VERY archaic and the customer service people at the credit card company are real jerks. "

I love Christopher&Banks, store 04172 to shop at.

"I love going in this particular store as everyone is friendly and helpful. I especially like the manager, as she helped me find clothing I was looking for right down to taking a top off a form that was my size. I really appreciated her help. I will go back to that store in the future when I need something. The Sandusky, Ohio store is great!"

discriminated

"I believe CJBanks discriminates in their retail practices to people with mobility issues. My experience - I have mobility issues which makes it difficult for me to access the local mall store. While my favorite denim jeans are no longer available, I ordered online based on sizing ordered within the past year from CJBanks. On arrival the, the jeans were four inches too large at the waist. I called the customer service department and was told I could not exchange my jeans via mail. I could only return them at my expense for a refund of the amount I had paid. And although I had purchased them on sale, I could not re-order at the sale pricing. Exchanging them at the store was also not possible because the stores do not carry 'tall' sizing. I asked to speak to the customer service supervisor. The attendant took my name and phone number and was told the supervisor would return my call within 24 hours, it's been over 25 hours and still waiting. "

Poor Customer Service

"I visited your Williamsburg,VA store on May 11, 2017 to celebrate my birthday with a new wardrobe. I was given a $10 coupon when I entered the store. I spent 1 1/2 in the store gathering items to purchase. I made my purchase and left the store extremely pleased. Later, I realized that I had not gotten my $10 discount. I returned to the store and it went downhill from that point.

My horrific experience started with Associate 072341 and Lori (Associate 073814). They were extremely rude to me when they told me I did not qualify for the $10 off because I hadn't spent $60. I explained that that was not what I understood when I was given the coupon and suggested that they explained the process better when customers entered the store. They were very short with me and suggested that I return the items I purchased. I was floored but, decided to return the items (which I loved) at her suggestion.

Associate 072341, in my opinion, can definitely benefit from more customer service training. The manner in which she responded to me was most inappropriate not to mention the fact that I was embarrassed as other customers looked on. While I have shopped your store many times in the past, I will not walk through those doors ever again.

I've built a huge business based on the way I communicate and relate to people and while we always say the customer is right, that this is not always the case. However, in business, we must be equipped with the tools to represent our companies well while respecting others.

Lori (Associate 073814), almost fed into the rudeness I experienced until my fiancé diffused her interaction with us. Several of the customers in the store witness this entire event and while my fiancé and I were dinning at Captain George's later that evening, we were approached by one of the witnesses who expressed their concerns about what they had seen and heard.

I contacted Ms. Sipe, DM for the store and her only response was "I'm sorry".
