"Overall a good experience, great price with fast shipping, the only thing was that I didn't get a conformation email until monday (ordered on Sat), it had the tracking info. Not a big deal, I was just expecting an automatic email confirming my purchase. I would purchase with them again."

"I ordered a Panasonic camcorder from this site because the price and shipping charges were reasonable. I received the video camera and when I turned it on there were two videos of complete strangers in their living room on it. It had clearly been used. The product description said it was new in original packaging. I quickly called customer service and shared my frustration with them. I needed this camcorder in time for my daughters first birthday so they made me purchase another camcorder so they could send it out and I wouldn't have to wait until they received the used one back. They said that they would reimburse me for having to ship back the used camcorder and I included my receipt for the shipping charges but they never did. It wasn't my fault that they sent me a USED camcorder. Why should I have to pay to send it back? Well, thankfully I ended up receiving the new camcorder in time, but I probably won't be buying from this company again."

"Central Digital had the lowest price on the camera I purchased. The process was quick and easy. I made an error on my credit card experation date and they notified me promptly. the only complaint was the long wait to speak to someone. The customer service representative and I were able to pin point the problem, the card went through and my camera shipped the same day. I have book marked them in my favorites and WILL buy from them again."

" I ordered a Canon 60D from CentralDigital for $999, which was $100 cheaper than anyone else. Given the experience I am about to recount, I now know why. I was contacted by "Michael" asking me to call and verify my order. Since I am a new customer and it was a somewhat large purchase, I understood and called back, though I was put on hold for a while.

Michael seemed nice enough, telling me what a great camera the 60D was, etc. He asked me if I needed any batteries (which I did). He quoted me a "super sale" price of $69, which for an OEM Canon LP-E6 was a fair price, so I said OK. I also told him I needed a 58mm UV filter. He told me he had a "great deal" on a 3-pack of filters (UV, Circular polarizer and flourescent) for $69. I honestly had no idea what filters cost. I figured I was getting a great deal on the camera. Even if their prices on these accessories was a 10% or so more than from other dealers, no big deal. When I finally got the items last week and checked the prices, the prices on the accessories were not 10% or so higher, they were 340% higher:

The battery (Premium Tech PT-LPE6) they sold me for $69 does not work properly with my camera (camera will not show remaining battery) and will only charge with the charger provided, not the Canon one.

To hide the shady deal they gave me, they did not give me an itemized invoice. They invoiced the camera at $1139.93 instead of $999 and included the filters and battery as zero-dollar line items.

I realized I should have gotten clarification on the exact battery and filter they were going to ship me, but nobody deserves to be ripped off this badly.

"I'm in a process of ordering a Pentax SLR digital camera. I saw this review website and decided to take a chance with them because their rating was pretty good, and their price was good!
Ordering was easy - pick your item, and check out.
However, I never got a confirmation email from them.
I waited til next day, and nothing.
Since I ordered late at night, I was too tired to pay attention - I thought maybe I hit "order cancel" button by mistake and never ordered it?
So I decided to place an order again, and made sure to write down a confirmation number when the order was completed.
Once again, I never got a confirmation email.
So now, I'm not sure if I have a duplicate order wtih them.
I called their customer service and they were closed (It's Sunday today). I chose sales option, and the guy told me that he has no way to check my order status, so I need to call back tomorrow (Monday).
I will call them tomorrow and hopefully things will get straighten out, and I will update this review once I receive the order.

10/18/2010 - Update:
I just called the customer service to fix this problem.
After I spoke to theinitial customer service person, I was onl hold for about 20 min...
All the bad reviews were going through my mind at this time.
However, when I finally got to talk to a person from confirmation department, he was very pleasant and handled my problem quickly.
There was a duplicate order, and he canceled one.
Although he did ask me if I need to purchase extra accessories like SD card or battery, he didn't push the issue when I said no. One thing is, he said that I couldn't get the free shipping (ground) option because I live in Hawaii - I had to go with 2 day shipping, which added about $20 (approx) to my order.
It is understandable - not many companies offer free shipping all the way to Hawaii.
I just wished they would mentioned it during the ordering process.
If I never called, what would have happened?
Would they call me about it? Or just send it and add the extra without mentioning it?

Other than not getting a confirmation email and discrepancy on the shipping, overall my experience with Central Digital was pretty good. Now I'll just wait and see how long it would take for me to receive my item...

Update#2:
I just received my camera last night, 10/20/2010, Wednesday.
Wow, that was fast!! Since I live in Hawaii, I didn't expect to get it til at least Friday or so.
I didn't get to check the packaging, since my husband opened it, and he thought it wasn't as neatly packed as it should be. The actual camera box was a little crushed, but didn't affect the camera inside.
I checked the camera & everything else thoroughly, as I saw on the review that some people got the damaged or returned items.
My camera looked good and new. It came with the free goods like camera case, screen protector sheet, cleaner and a table tripod.
They were all generic but still nice to have.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this company. I just wish they'd send a confirmation email.
I'd recommend them to my friends, but also let them know my experience and they can decide if they'd want to order online through them.

"I have to admit that I was sceptical about ordering from a company that I have never heard of. I spoke to a rep who made me feel more comfortable. So I placed my order, and much to my surprise, the item arrived in 3 days, and it was all it was advertized. I highly recommend this company, and I will make Cantral Digital my first choice for all future orders.

"The company was very professional to deal with. Ordered the camera on Monday with an expected ship date of Wednesday and actually received it on Wednesday. The order was exactly as described. "I have had the most horrendous buying experience of my life with Central Digital. I placed my order on Tuesday and was thrown off at the end of the conversation that it would take 7-10 days for me to receive my camera. I called right back to try to upgrade my shipping. I left a voicemail for someone detailing my request. I called back again and they were closed for the day. The next morning I called and paid extra for three day shipping. I was told by the lady (who was very nice - I'll give her that) that my camera would ship that day and I would have it by Friday. Friday at 4:00 I still did not have my camera and never received a tracking number, so I called customer service again. Closed for the weekend. I sent several emails as well. On Monday, I called customer service again and was told that something was "holding up" my order and it still had not left the warehouse!!! Unbelievable! The sparse hours, poor communication, and inability to simply do what they say they will do is ridiculous. Once I literally cried on the phone to the customer service rep, seeing as their poor manor of business was going to cause me to reschedule a photo shoot, they did take off the shipping charges and ship it overnight. That surely does not make up for the damage done, however, and I will most certainly never use Central Digital ever again. "
