Fraudulent Company

"Believe the 1-star reviews. This is a fraudulent company. You can never get anyone by phone and if you order something that is "marked in stock ready to ship" you will soon be informed that your shipment is delayed. They will continue stringing you along this way until it becomes obvious that you will not get your order. I reported them to Amex and I was told there was nothing they could do and to take it up with the government. So, this fake company is taking in tons of money and probably getting interest and that is how they profit. When I cancelled, I ordered the same product from Anthropologie and I got it within ten days. I had let Burke Decor drag me for three months. When I called and left messages that went unanswered that should have been my first clue. Save yourself the stress and avoid this fake company."

They will charge your card and never ship the items.

"Stay away from this scam website. The "Marcello Floor Urn" was purchased on September 22, 2023 from www.burkedecor.com. At that time their website showed the item "IN-STOCK + READY TO SHIP - Shipping time: 2 to 3 weeks to ship." it is not November 24th and the website still shows the item "IN-STOCK + READY TO SHIP - Shipping time: 2 to 3 weeks to ship." no shipping information has ever been provided and the product was never received. I asked the cancel the order on November 14th and no response to cancel nor refund was received. Customer service is basically nonexistent. "

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY-BAD NEWS!!!!!

"This company needs to be put out of business. They are unavailable for customer service. Unfortunately, you won't be able to confirm your order. They will not respond to you on chat or email. This company makes me very nervous, I would strongly discourage you from ever ordering anything from this company. It is a joke, and they do not care. STAY AWAY! I am just trying to find out tracking on my order, and nobody will answer me. I want to cancel, but from previous reviews, it might take a long time to get a refund if ever. "

DO NOT BUY FROM BURKE DECOR

"This company lies and keeps your money from months and never delivers. Please do not waste your time on them. You can find whatever product you are looking for somewhere else. I never had such a terrible experience as i did with them. Luckily my bank eventually credited back the $3000 i gave them for stools i never received. They keep postponing the delivery date. Maybe 10 -12 times. Any good reviews that you see here, i;m sure are written by there less than competent employees."

Heed reviews and steer clear!

"I’m writing a review on every review website to warn everyone about this scam of a business. Skimming over everyone else’s reviews and their experience proves it. Any positive reviews were probably created by the scam artists themselves. Not sure how they are still legally operating and why they haven’t been shut down.

Like many others on here, I ordered a product from them and never received it. They don’t answer calls or emails, and never provided updates on my order…I don’t think it ever shipped out and it’s probably because they don’t have it because they are a fake business!

They did a nice job with making their website look legit, but don’t be fooled and steer clear!

Sloppy and Unresponsive

"I ordered a pair of frames from them and they immediately charged my credit card. Three weeks later the items were not received and no email confirmation was sent. I sent them an email inquiring about my purchase. No response. This morning, I called them and was told the items were delayed until May. Why was my card charged before the item was sent? Cancelled the order and we'll see if they refund my money. "

Buy from somewhere else!

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! These people should not be allowed to do business. They sent me a large, expensive, soft, serene light colored Aileen Fitzgerald painting that had sizeable dark knot on a light wood frame that significantly detracted from the viewing of the painting. It looks like a large black splotch and it's very distracting. Not at all as what is shown on their website. I'm a reasonable person and I understand and am usually ok with wood variation but this was too much. I said I wasn't happy and would like to exchange it and take my chances on getting a better frame the next go around. It took 2 months of phone calls and emails to them to get through this simple process. They ignored me for weeks on end and tried to charge me a $40 restocking fee on top of paying for return shipping. I had to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau to get them to respond to me. I shipped the painting back and then they disappeared again for a couple more weeks. I got ready to take them to court because they had $400 of my money. Finally someone answered the phone and they said they would ship me a new painting. I even said to myself 'just get your money back and be done with this company and buy it from somewhere else', but I really loved the painting and was happy to know they were finally sending the replacement. I get it and I take it out of the box AND IT'S THE EXACT SAME PAINTING I JUST SENT THEM. The very same painting. I know because I took a picture of it before. I email them to let them know and they respond with this:

"Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with the quality of the item you received. The item from your original order was found to be as intended and was not considered a claim, so if you ended up with an identical or similar item, it is because it passed inspection again before shipment. We waived fees for the return of the order as a one time courtesy and placed your exchange order. From my end, it appears that it was fully disclosed that since this item was as intended, you could very well receive another item that appears the same. I completely understand your frustration with the variation you received, however if you'd like to return this item it would be considered a standard return. We appreciate your understanding."

I am flabbergasted at the incompetency, ignorance, and just plain lack of even a shred of business acumen displayed by these people at every single step of this business transaction. I saw something the other day that I wanted to order and the second I saw it was for sale by this business I said no way will I purchase it. Please save yourself the trouble and order your item from somewhere else. They get their stuff from a supplier that supplies other decor companies as well- go with one of them instead. Reverse image search the item.

Terrible service, and making up excuses.

"I ordered a food product that hadn't shipped for awhile, so I cancelled it. Firstly, they charged me immediately when I placed the order mid October. The confirmation of cancelation came end of October. There have been countless emails back and forth from me, and my bank also has reached out to them for a refund. They make up excuse after excuse, and here we are at end of November, and still no refund. It is a scam."

Do not order from this retailer (coming from a design company that spends a TON on this stuff)

"They have BEAUTIFUL stuff, but their fulfillment and customer service is a joke. If you're a design company that orders a lot of tuff, avoid Burke and thank me later. We've spent more than $50,000 with Burke for several client orders over 2022, and about 10% of the items have had issues. I'm on an email thread with their customer support folks that has crossed the 50 email mark (switches people each email and they can't see what was said to other reps so its a lot of repetition to get to a simple result) just to find resolution on a handful of items Burke lost. They are unapologetic and when we finally got them to ship replacements to the items they lost, they shipped them to the wrong address (shipped to the most recent address used on burke.com instead of the address that was attached to the original order). Several items that were listed as quick ship got backordered. This is not a problem given supply chain and logistics issues going on everywhere, but ALL of these items were not communicated/updated with new shipping dates. A few of the items were discontinued somewhere along the way but Burke never mentioned it until after we filled out a form and heard back two weeks later. Unacceptable."

The worse ordering experience I’ve ever had

"I ordered some biscuit jars and placemats early September that were supposed to be shipped out within a week. After two weeks I contacted them and only got a response when I posted negatively on their fb page. They told me the items wouldn’t be shipped until late October. According to their own policies they were supposed to contact me about order delays where I’d have the option to chancel which they didn’t. I told them to cancel but they’ve refused saying they are special order items. Nowhere were they described as such. They’ve given all kind insulting excuses. Read and take reviews. Something tells me the handful of good reviews they have are fake! "

"The rug I ordered is very thick, and you can tell the quality is there. The color is perfect, green and teal with pops of orange. It’s very luxurious and comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with this rug and it is a full-on transformation for this room. "

HORRIBLE

"HORRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER. If you’re looking for a company that sends you broken cement large vases, and doesn’t assist in the return, shop here. If you’re looking to spend $2000 on a table that will take 12 months to arrive, for the delivery man to leave it outside the house, MAKE YOU CRY, and force you to hire someone to help you move it inside, shop here. If you’re looking for a return, I hope you’re not expecting the money to come back. A year of dealing with this company and let me say, the joke was definitely on me. They gaslight you too! So, if you’re looking for the worst company in the world, look no further. "

Bed frame nightmare

"After several transportation & shipping issues, 2 days of waiting for scheduled delivery that never happened because of weather & truck breakdown
Finally received the bed frame and was told the white glove set up would have to be done the following day because of their other deliveries. Btw, our delivery was at 6:00pm that day.
The following day came & went with no communication from transportation co. When we called dispatch they said we had opted for drop off no installation, which is a complete lie. No one ever contacted us and we ended up paying someone else to put the bed together.
Do not buy or believe anything you hear from this company totally unreliable.
We reached out to Burke Decor and explained our experience and received an automated email response their team was looking into the issue & would be in contact.
To date nothing has been done nor have we been contacted about this situation….

Don’t shop this online store

Just got off the phone with Burke Williams for the last time and my frustrations is only made tolerable by reading the many other negative reviews.
Purchased a large order. Everything arrived piecemeal throughout the weeks to my clients address without issue.
On the day of delivery of the last most costly item I received a notification it was undeliverable because the address was wrong. I wrote them back immediately as requested, it was the same as Address used for all the other delivery’s so there is no error and get ups to deliver it again.
I received no response , email, text or call. After several days I called customer service and She basically said it wasn’t there fault, it was ups fault. She said they would try to notify ups. I suggested since we had waited a month for delivery to please send out another but she said that could not be done.
Two weeks go by and not a text, email or call from Burke Decor and no delivery. I called today and spoke to a rude, condescending, woman. After she located the order and made the comment there were a lot of notes on the ongoing problem she said it says it should be delivered this coming Monday. I asked her to verify the date. I’m on hold for at least ten minutes and she gets back on and says
“no it actually won’t be delivered on Monday and as it’s been at ups waiting for a new address and time is up and they are returning it to us. “
I said l, so these past two weeks when I was told you would notify ups that they needed to redeliver it to the same address, you actually had done nothing.
She said in the most obnoxious way I can express, “yeah I guess that no one followed through. “
I then told her she was an awful customer service rep and to please have Erin Burke the owner call me back. She said she would never tell her to call me and I would never be able to call her.
At that moment I told her to issue me a full credit immediately and I would never use their site again but I would take the time to find anyplace on line to give a scathing review of this on line site and encourage everyone not to do business with these people who could care less about their customers.
