"4 out of 5 items were out of stock. Credit card was promptly charged for entire order. Got an email asking if we wanted to cancel the entire order to which we replied yes. Still waiting for a confirmation of cancellation and still no credit back to the charge card. 12 days later, do you think they are just using the money while they can. If they use the holidays for an excuse then they need to get better computers and IT folks. Very poor status control of web page. should never bill for out of stock items. Should confirm cancellations and give prompt refunds. However; on the positive side--- well I can't think of anything. I wonder if I will shop Ben Franklin again? Well maybe if they develop a business plan with integrity."

"The first time I ordered from this company it was breeze, My Order shipped and quite quickly. The second time is a completely Different story. I placed my order on the 15th of November not knowing the company was on vacation for Thanksgiving, which was not mentioned on their website. This further delayed my order as well as my notification that these products were out of stock. By the 5th of December their vendor still hadn't sent my supplies to them and I requested a refund. Today is the 28th of December and my refund it just being processed. It took countless e-mails to get this far with this company. Response from the company is slow and where on their website is says your original credit card will be refunded I am being sent a check instead. So not only am I completely supplyless I am also moneyless after a month and a half of e-mails. The company also only has one e-mail address, never picks up phone calls and has no direct way for you to speak with refunds and returns. I do not know if I will ever by ordering fromt his company again, maybe if they stop telling blatant lies on their webpage and get better with response time to e-mails and phone calls. "

"Like many others on this site, I ordered an item over one month ago that I never received. The emails I sent to them were returned to me as undeliverable and the phone calls I made were never returned. I should have known when I had to leave a message on voicemail during normal operating hours that something is not right with this company. I will be disputing the charge with me credit card company!"

"They have very poor communication. I ordered something the november 3. they took the money from my account on the 5th. Then they sent me an email that said they would ship my order in 3 days . That was the last i had heard from them till i finally got tired of waiting for my order because i needed it. I kept emailing and trying to call them with no success. Finally they contacted me back after i threatened them with the better business bureau. they said i could cancel my order and receive a full refund because part of my order was on back order. I have never received my refund and no one will return my calls or emails. I am gonna contact the better business bureau now. I have given them plenty of time. I will never do business with them again."

"Never ever ever ever do business with these people. Never. They do not ship your order, they don't answer the phone and they don't reply to emails. I had to get the BBB involved to get my money back.

Just in case you missed it the first time... NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

"I've purchased from Ben Franklin several times in the past without any issues. Unfortunately, the positive streak quickly came to an end when I placed an order on 11/26. I was never notified that the items weren't available to ship until I contacted customer service. I requested the order to be cancelled and refunded on Tue., 12/18 because I needed the items by Monday and would have to order from another company. The customer service rep told me that all the items were available to ship that day so I didn't cancel and I didn't place another order with a different company. On Thursday I still didn't have a tracking number so I contacted the customer service department via email. The next day (Friday) the rep responded to let me know that only one item of the order had shipped. They left this information out when I contacted them on Tuesday. Now I will miss a deadline or have to spend a lot of money to get the product rush shipped to me."

"HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered over a month ago and have yet to get my order. I have called and sent emails numerous time to find an answer and have only heard back from Ben Franklin 3 times. THey have not offered to refund my money due to the lateness, or offered a promo code off on another order. This company's customer service is a joke. In the month I have been dealing with this company, I have not spoken to one person. They have only contacted my via email saying the same thing, "it's not our fault, it's the vendor."Well that might be the case, but what is the excuse for the poor customer service? I will not be placing any other orders with this joke of a company."

"I placed an order with ben franklin over a month ago. Did not receive the items and after a week of checking with customer service with no answer I was told that it was because they were out of the office for thanksgiving. I still have no items after being promised for the 2nd week that they hope to make a shipment next week only to find out THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THE ITEMS I PURCHASED BUT ARE WAITING FOR THE VENDORS TO SHIP TO THEM. DON'T EVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, I NEVER WILL AGAIN."

"This ia about the worst customer experience I've experienced in a very long time. I ordered 3 different items over a month ago and still do not have shipment, not even a partial shipment. When I attempted to call customer service, I got a voice mail system only. Email returned a reply that the items were not in stock but would be available the next week. So I waited. No shipment after 2 more weeks. Can't get anyone on the phone, left a voice mail - no reply. Sent 2 additional emails - no reply. Oh, did I mention that they charged me in full as soon as I placed the order? Very unhappy!!!!"

"Not real happy with my online order. I ordered 3 items and waited 2 weeks to find out they still haven't shipped.I emailed them and finally heard back that they items are out of stock from the supplier and will ship in another week or two but not sure. I called them to ask if one item can be canceled from my order because it won't arrive in time for me to mail it out, and they still haven't called me back. I sent another email today."

"I placed my very first order from Ben Franklin almost two weeks before I needed the items and the website assured me that my item would ship out within 3 business days. However, the day before the party, I still had not seen my items and had received no email from Ben Franklin. On Nov. 14th, I called customer service to check on my item. No one answered so I left a message and the answering machine told me they would call back if i left a message. It is now Nov. 30, and I finally got an email from Ben Franklin apologizing that my order had not been shipped, these things would ship out next week, and did I still need the order.

This is my first time ordering from Ben Franklin and it will most definitely be my last.

"I placed an order on 9/19 and they charged my credit card immediately, but I got no shipping confirmation and the item never came so after two weeks I emailed to inquire about my order status and they replied that the item was not in stock and they would ship when available. I waited another week and emailed again and was told the same thing, so I asked if I could cancel my order and get a refund. They said yes, but I watched my credit card transactions and no refund was issued after several days so I emailed again. They said they'd have someone look into it. By this time I had found these reviews (wish I'd checked the reviews first!) so I emailed them back and said that if I didn't have my refund in 10 days I was going to file a claim with my credit card company. They replied that they were sorry for the inconvenience. I waited 10 days and never received a refund from them so I did file a claim with my credit card company and they issued a credit to my account. I hope they got their money back from these crooks. Do not ever do business with this company!!!"

"My first purchasing experience was rather pleasant so I decided to go back. I placed my second order on 9-4-12. Today is 11-14-12. It has been well over 2 months and I still have not received 80% of my order. I was advised several times, by customer service, on expected dates, but al;l of those dates have come and gone. I operate a small business that has suffered slightly due to the lack of Ben Franklin selling items that they do not have or can get. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! I have Tweeted and posted to Facebook that Ben Franklin is a very POOR company to work with and very unreliable. I wil not purchase from Ben Franklin and I am spreading the word.
