"The costume was inexpensive compared to other sites, which was great. Shipping was quick. Problem is that the size that they consider women's small (6-8) is REALLY small. I contacted them via email 2 days within receipt of the costume to exchange for a medium, as their policy requires. I sent several emails and still haven't gotten a reply. Now the costume is completely sold out and I'm stuck with a costume that shows my butt! If you are sure on the size and costume, this is a good site to order from. If not, their return/exchange policy is an expensive hassle (require that YOU pay return shipping and shipping for the exchange)."

"I recently purchased a Dumb and Dumber type "blue" tuxedo from this website. The picture on the website is clearly powder blue. The picture on the packaging is clearly powder blue. However the product inside is CLEARLY aqua green. The product arrived a day before the website allows returns which meant I was stuck with it. "Before ordering a costume for my son I searched the website for a size chart and was unsuccessful. Based on other costumes we had looked at, I ordered a Large. The costume arrived promptly and was packaged well. The large ran larger than ones we had looked at in stores. We needed to send it back. What a big mistake. You need to be aware of thier policy on returns. This is the worst I have ever seen!
You must notify them within 2 days. There is actually no returns except for exchanges in size and that is only after paying outrageous restocking fees. I will never shop here again. I prefer paying a higher price with someone willing to work with you and advoid being rippped off. "

I carefully read through all the fine print on Zoogster after reading all the bad reviews for it on resellerratings.com. I decided to go with chance that nothing would go wrong and trust that a company that seems to sell as much as they do had to be doing something right.
Weeell that might not be the case. Once I made my order I realized a couple hours later that I hadn't included my box # at my dorm (not really that important, but helps ease confusion at the mailroom). I emailed Zoogster, related the issue. I recieved an email the next day:
"I cannot make an address change on an order that has already been processed. I will call UPS in the morning and request an address correction. As stated on the Website, you will be billed a 10.00 address correction fee."
OUCH! Ten dollars on a twenty dollar order is pretty harsh. I won't be dealing with them again, it's too risky. READ THE FINE PRINT AND ORDER CAREFULLY.
update: got my order and it was exactly as it was described so they did get something right in the end..."
"This costume company is a pleasure. After ordering and then reading these old reviews, I nervously called and spoke with a nice girl about these other people's complaints. She was courteous and knowledgeable, and it makes a lot of sense that it is hard to contact such a popular company during their busiest season. I worked for a major retail chain for 12 years, and I tell you that we were impossible to contact during Christmas. Maybe Zoogster used to be overwhelmed, but Kudos on improving! A Happy Customer!!"

I JUST got my refund after returning a Halloween costume that was too small (2 months later) and instead of crediting me $57, they gave me back $38 (minusing restocking fees). I had to go through HELL just to get the $38 back - actually my credit card company FINALLY got it back from them. This company is a rip off and I would NOT recommend them."

"Be careful when ordering from zoogstercostumes.com (SMI Sales). Be sure to review the exchange policies carefully because it is very hard to get any help if you are unsatisfied with the product. I ordered a costume from them that was sized toddler 2-4. My son just turned 2 so it should have fit him just fine but it was at least 2 inches too short. When I called the company to exchange it for a bigger size, they were sold out and refused to take a return. I can't believe that this company will not take back this costume when the sizing was so incorrect and when they are sold out of the next size."
