1 - Xecuter3 Control Panel w/ PRO SWITCH and LCD DISPLAY
1 - X3 IR ADAPTER

They authorized and captured the funds ($104.38) on 5/15/2007. I work for an ISP that does e-commerce (URL removed at their request...) so I know resellers are not supposed to capture funds until after the product is shipped. I ignored that and patiently waited.

5/22 - check for status of order.
5/23 - Let them know I filled out the state wrong. I live in Pennslyvania so I just hit P, which selected PALAU. I was stupid and missed this - I'm only human.
5/29 - Jan updates my order, fixes state and lets me know about back-order:
"We apologize for the delay in shipping your order.

Xecuter has been delaying shipments of original XBOX Products in favor of the new 360 stuff.

They have informed us that within 1.5 weeks we will have stock

We will upgrade your shipping methods or provide you with free gifts for this delay."

I emailed back that I understand XBOX360 stuff is in and politely pass on the free gifts, but take the shipping upgrade :)

6/24 - Ask for any updates - sent directly to Jan
6/25 - From Jan - "We have still have not received our shipment of Xecuter Products.

We do have the Green, Crystal and BLue Control panels in stock and ready to ship. (as well as your IR Adapter)

If you would like us to change your color please get back as soon as you can."

I reply I'll patiently wait for black as I don't want any of the other colors.

8/1 - Receive "Advanced Notification of Shipment Request" from Purolator - nothing attached to this shipment number and I have called into Purolator numerous times. Also receive email from XBMC that order has been completed.

8/14 - Sent email and support request to XBMC asking about order details since I have not received products, Purolator still has nothing in their system for the PIN I received and Purolator also recommended I contact XBMC. Managed to get one knowledgeable person at Purolator and they said seems like shipment information was passed to Purolator, but no product was actually ever shipped.

9/4 - Straight to Jan:
"Jan,
Can you please give me a status update on this order? The automated email from orders@ gives me an order complete reply."

I have checked the tracking status at www.purolator.com and www.dhl-usa.com and its not showing the tracking results.

So if you have not received your package yet, than I will contact PUROLATOR tomorrow and see where it is.

It is most likely lost because it only takes 1-4 days to be delivered not over 2 months.

I have still NOT received the items I ordered and paid for back in May. Could someone please investigate what happened to my shipment, if it was shipped? It has been five months and I still do not have any of the items from my order.

Since then, I have called numerous times. No one ever answers the phone or returns my phone calls. I even stated to just send me an email in case they don't want to call out of country - nothing.

I find it too convenient that they stopped responding after 120 days, when I can no longer revoke the credit card charge (Bank of America policy).

Meanwhile, modchips.ca has been awesome both times I have used them. They got my Xecuter 3 CE to me fast in 2/2005 for my XBOX and same week for my Wii mod chip earlier this month.

I firmly believe the positive entries for this reseller are completely fake. Stay away from this company – seems to be a scam. I have found forums talking about this company dating back to 2003 and the address and phone numbers listed way back then have changed multiple times since. Google it once - I'm not the first to get ripped off and definitely not going to be the last.

"My order took quite awhile to receive but i did receive it after a few weeks. The XBOX 360 started failing right away so I returned it. I returned it after an email exchange with them and they gave me RMA instructions, saying the repair would take 3-4 weeks. I sent it to them and they signed for it on 8/7/2007. 5 weeks later after several emails to them, I received an email on 9/13 saying they would get me a status of the repair right away. It's going on 3 months now and I have never been able to make contact again. I think the other reviewer is correct. They either folded up or just don't care. Obviously doing real business with them is a loosing proposition."

"Placed order in September. My credit card was charged a day later and the order has been shown as "Processed" ever since. No response to any emails about shipping the item. No response to any help tickets on their site. The live chat is always offline. Pretty sure these guys have completely disappeared but left their website up to charge people's cards and hope that some peopel do not do chargebacks. I am in the process of a credit card dispute now. Don't order from them. They used to be a legitimate business and now they are gone."

"I placed an order on August 21, saw them pull out the money from my bank account on August 27, and heard NOTHING from them. It is now October 4 and after several ignored voicemails and emails to them, I realized they scammed me and have initiated a chargeback with my credit card company.

"I paid for expedited shipping but it took 13 days to process. On Aug 14th, I started requesting answers through their help desk. They finally responded that they didn't get the money. It took until the 22nd for them to acknowledge that they had received it on the 8th, and only after I threatened to report them for credit card fraud.

However, they were out of both products that I had ordered almost a month earlier. We'll see if I get my money back from them, or if my credit card fraud proceedings get it first.

"Ordered the product using DHL as the courier, not overnight or second day, just DHL ground shipping - cheapest of the cheap. The package came literally within two days of placing the order (which was at night). Kudos to not only xbox modchips but also to DHL, fast and now I have a working box playing all my medias! Thanks! Will definitely be ordering from them again!"

"July 16: Order placed for solderless chip. Received order confirmation email later that day.
July 20: Received billing confirmation email.
July 23: Sent email requesting shipping info. No reply.
July 24: Sent email notifying them of a problem with their online support desk (Activation links are not being sent to new users). No response.
July 31: Sent email requesting either shipping info or a cancellation/refund if the order had not been sent yet. No Response.
August 4: Sent emails to ALL address listed on the website stating that if I was not sent either shipping info or a refund within 2 days, that a fraud claim would be filed with my bank.
August 8: Received (automated?) email confirming a refund, with no explanation given for the delay/problem.

The number listed on the website only leads to a voicemail. Left a message, but no call back.

Bottom line: You have got to be kidding me...
Someone better shut this guy down, and soon.

"I have been reading some of the previous comments from people using the service and I am suprised as I have had excellent communications from them right from when I ordered. Probably 4 or 5 emails letting me know each step of what was happening with my order. Indeed its the only company that I've ordered from that actually replied to my comment that I made while ordering online, confirming what I had ordered. I'm in the UK and ordered a X3 control panel for my Xbox. These were impossible to find over here in the colour I wanted so I had to look further afield. Service has been outstanding. Postage took 2 days to get here. Really pleased with the product and the service. I see people are quick to be judgemental about a company and praise can be hard to comeby as people will generally not bother to say if they've had a good experience. Everything has been top notch and from my personal experience I would recommend them and I'm sure I will be ordering again in the future for other hard to find items. "

"I was amazed on how fast these guys got my shipment to me. I don't know what everybody else is talking about poor communication. I got an email right when my order was giving to the shipping company. I paid for DHL USA Ground but I got it the next day. Will come back to shop from these guys again and again. "

"I ordered 2 xbox control panels and I have been charged for them, yet I still haven't received word about shipping or stock information. I have called, left messages, emailed, put in tickets and now I am fed up with this company.

"UPDATE 8/2/07:

Well, after a series of tickets on the website, I did finally recieve a courteous reply saying that my order had shipped. This morning I recieved a tracking number, and my Wii shall arrive tomorrow. While the lack of communication was stressful I'd have to say that I would do business with them again (assuming the install arrives as advertised). I've revised my rating accordingly.

I have yet to recieve an update on my order, even after placing 2 tickets on their websiteMy Wii was delivered to the installation center on Wed. 7/25 via Fedex, and I have gotten no response since then. Being that I shipped them my Wii, I'm starting to get very concerned. Maybe a post here will get an appropriate update, at which point I will revise my rating of their service.

"Buyer BEWARE! I purchased an item listed as "IN STOCK" on June 30, 2007 and received an order confirmation e-mail.

I purchased OVERNIGHT shipping, so it was strange that on July 2, 2007, I did not receive ANY shipping confirmation for an item that ADVERTISES it will be shipped within 24 hours! I sent an e-mail to the support address asking if they had shipped the item, or what the delay was, if truly in stock.

On July 3, 2007, after my credit card had been charged, I received an e-mail response to my inquiry. "We apologize but we are currently out of stock of ..." and "Please get back to us as soon as you can" about accepting a cheaper product.

I then INSTANTLY did a Yahoo! search for reviews on "XBox-Modchips.com" , aka "Linux Chips", aka "AmericanXboxModchips.com". That's when I became instantly concerned.

I immediately requested a refund. And, on July 5, 2007, I receive an e-mail that seemed like they never communicated with me before, "No we do not have the ... in stock", again! Like in 48 hours they couldn't have accepted my order cancellation.

Then, on July 6, 2007, they acknowledged they would refund me, after I sent another concerned message.

May I interject, I HAD TO SIGN UP for some strange SUPPORT SYSTEM they make their customers use in order to communicate with them and view “updates” to the “support issue”.

By July 22, 2007, I had sent a few more “SUPPORT REQUESTS” through their system and CALLED their phone number that rings to a residential-style answering machine. After NO RESPONSE since July 6, 2007, and NO INDICATION on my billing statement that a refund had been issued, I decided to deal with my Credit Card company.

On July 22, 2007, my Credit Card company issued me a refund, definitively stating that NO ATTEMPT HAD BEEN MADE BY THE MERCHANT TO REFUND MY CARD BY THAT DATE. NO Refund . [period]

THEREFORE, my FEELING about this situation is unless a customer wants to endure FALSELY ADVERTISED STOCK, PROCESSING TIME, and ORDER REFUND status, AND I feel that if a consumer ENJOYS contacting their CREDIT CARD company and filling-out the PAPERWORK and TRANSMIT the SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION, then I FEEL CONSUMERS SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM Xbox-Modchips.com .

BAD, TIME-CONSUMING ORDEAL FOR ME. I feel that XBOX-MODCHIPS.COM got an INTEREST-FREE cash advance at MY EXPENSE of time, effort, stress, credit, etc.
