"Received my TIVO upgrade hard drive today from Weaknees for my TIVO Series 2. Took all of ten minutes to install. Clear instructions and all the necessary tools were included. I will admit it took me longer to find my network password (necessary on TIVO startup). But after that everything started up like a charm. I highly recommend the Weaknees TIVO kit."

"My TIVO DVR crashed last month after 8 years of great service. Talking to TIVO support, we determined that the hard drive had failed. TIVO referred me to Weaknees. I called and ordered a replacement hard drive. It arrived in a couple of days with easy to follow instructions. Even though I had never opened a DVR or computer before, I was able to replace the hard drive in 30 minutes. The TIVO is now working and, with more capacity, better than ever, thanks to the great people at TIVO and Weaknees. Reed"

"I never take the time to review online transactions; I am simply far too busy. In this case, however, my experience with weaknees.com was so incredible and over-the-top outstanding that I felt obligated to spend the time. The weaknees people are absolutely terrific. They REALLY REALLY know their stuff when it comes to Tivo and Directv. I had a huge number of technical questions that no one else could answer. I tried Tivo, I tried Directv...I got the runaround and I got different answers every time. I googled around and found weaknees. I sent them an email on a Sunday and they responded in 20 minutes with a short but clear answer. I then ordered from them and the product showed up in 2 days (they shipped it the same day I oredered, even though I ordered late in the afternoon!). I ordered a hard drive upgrade for my tivo. The instructions were SO EASY to understand that a 10 year old could do it. The kit included all of the tools I needed to do the upgrade. I had been nervous about doing this myself, but someone there suggested that I try it myself instead of paying extra money to ship my tivo to them to have them do the upgrade. What kind of company actually makes a suggestion that would cause you to spend LESS with them?? Anyway, I got my upgrade and I was done in about 30 minutes. I powered on my Tivo and it was back to life!! Everyone at Directv had told me that me that my beloved tivo was dead and that I'd have to get a new one. It was only after I begged and pleaded and told Directv that my wife would divorce me if I didn't get this fixed did they tell me to try to call tivo. I called tivo and they recommended i call weaknees. Well, I owe that guy at Tivo a HUGE thank you!! Weaknees saved my Tivo and my marriage!! THANK YOU WEAKNEES!! You guys are amazing!!!"

"After having the power supply die in my lifetime TIVO s2 - TIVO support was no help (unless I wanted to buy an upgrade) - found weaknees on line. Placed order on Thursday - power supply received and installed on Monday night (and that with the free shipping) - easy, peasy and back in business - fast service and no upgrade required."

"My old series 1 TIVO for Directv stopped working. I was afraid I would have to buy a new DVR and lose my lifetime subscription but I found Weaknees and got a replacement hard drive with easy instructions and 15 minutes after I received it I had installed it and it is running like new. I will deal with them again."

"Very poor customer service!!! First saying I must had been mistaken when telling them the package was missing parts. Then passing the blame onto UPS. I have never had such a problem dealing with customer service before. And they do not state the name or position of the person making such rude replies in their emails."

"I purchased a new hard drive to fix a TIVO unit that was stuck on the welcome screen. Installation was a breeze and the unit now works perfectly. Since I still have my lifetime subscription to TIVO, this was a lifesaver. The service and support and answering of multiple questions, even before I made the purchase, was outstanding. "I needed to replace a hard drive for my hd tivo unit called them got much great information and then for reasons beyond my control had to cancel the sale, and I'm leaving them a good review because they were so kind both times I called and they deserve to be acknowledged at least for that. Tivo decided to next day air me an adapter to use with their new unit so I didn't need the replacement drive but they were great"

"I had an absolutely fantastic experience with weakness.com. I am a VERY skeptical shopper and I looked all over the Internet for reviews and opinions of this company. I read through pages and pages of reviews on this website and other websites. I called the company several times. Every time I called, I got knowledgable, fast answers from people in THIS country. I didn't have to sit on hold for hours. And when I emailed, I got back very fast, accurate, short, responses. This company did an absolutely remarkable job diagnosing the problem with my tivo and recommending solutions. They didn't even recommend the most expensive solution...the solution they recommended actually cost much less than several other options, and it was about $250 less than what tivo would have charged me.

I would also say that after I got my hard drive repair kit, I had some questions and the response times were equally fast. They didn't just help me quickly in sales mode, they helped me in support mode as well. Quickly and accurately.

If you have any hesitation at all before doing business with these guys, just write them an email and ask whatever questions you have...they'll respond.

I'm very thankful that I took the time to investigate weakness before I did business with them, and I would NOT hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family!

"Weaknees is my new best friend forever!
After six years, my TiVo series two flatlined. I call Weakees and they said I probably just need a new power supply. I ordered and it arrived within one week. The instruction were very simple and I repaired it in 15 minutes. It is working like new and the best part....my lifetime subscription is still intact. Besides that, they were very warm, friendly, and helpful on the phone. Imagine actually talking to a live human being at customer service!!! They're the best.

"I've just received and set up our new TiVo Premiere for Verizon FIOS. The experience was yet another perfect, easy transaction with Weaknees. It was such a great experience and is such a great product that we just ordered another one! We have bought or repaired seven different TiVo boxes (for cable, DirecTV and FIOS) with Weaknees over the years, and every transaction has been a model of how an internet merchant should deal with its customers, but seldom does.

Weaknees is one of those rare, great organizations which does everything well-sales, service, support and product knowledge-they have it all. Honesty above reproach and friendly, knowledgable customer service mark every transaction and contact with Weaknees. Weaknees is like having a family owned store full of experts on the corner in your neighborhood, giving you personal service and help every time you go in, except that they are just a phone call away. I might add that it's a phone call answered by real people who want to help and know how to do so.

We order from Weaknees instead of TiVo or any other reseller because of Weaknees superior service, great pricing and one of a kind after market support. In this era of disposable electronics, Weaknees can actually support, improve, and usually fix, or help you fix (or improve), everything they sell. And, Weaknees advisors Nick and Max are impossible to stump with even the most 'out there' technical questions, including some which the manufacturer,TiVo, could not answer with their own people. Here, the reseller is a better expert and knows more about the box, and how it works into your system, better than the manufacturer. What a concept.

If anyone out there has any reservation about doing business with Weaknees or generally on the internet-don't. Weaknees is a great company and they'll make you happy whether you are a novice DVR customer or an electronics nut and old tinkerer like me. Put simply, Weaknees rocks. Thanks again, Weaknees.
