Deceitful business practices

"I purchased a stainless steel chimney from VirVentures through Amazon. The chimney arrived damaged. I requested a return/refund due to the damage (selected "Item Damaged" for reason for return on Amazon) and was sent return instructions, a Return Authorization number, and a mailing label from VirVentures. The instructions stated that I was to pay for return shipping and that those shipping costs would be refunded to me since the item arrived damaged. I promptly send the item back using the return label and Return Authorization slip via UPS for a cost of $120.40 (the least expensive shipping I could find). VirVentures refunded my purchase price but refuses to refund the shipping costs, claiming I did not send them pictures prior to shipping (they did not request pictures prior to sending me the return instructions and shipping label/authorization). I followed their return instructions to the letter, expecting to be refunded my shipping costs as promised in their instructions, and they refuse to honor their own instructions/promises. I have communicated extensively with them through Amazon and filed a complain/request for refund with Amazon legal. VirVentures has been deceitful in their business practices and I would warn anyone away from dealing with them."

Scam of a company!

"This company is downright disgusting! Long review but please read and BEWARE! I purchased an island for my kitchen and when I opened it I was very upset to see that several of the pieces of the were damaged beyond repair. I was even more upset that it was quite clear as you can see in the photos attached that these pieces were broken when they put the pieced into the box. The box itself was not damaged the actual pieces inside were bent, broken and had some sort of dirt/black smudges on them. To start I thought it would be like any other amazon return where i get a label and drop it off and instantly get my refund. NOPE, I had to coordinate with the seller. So after a week of waiting I had to have amazon get involved for them to even respond to me and that is where it gets ugly. I received this “letter” from them which basically stated that I was responsible for the cost of returning this item and it had to be through FedEx. This package weighed well over 100lbs and was in a large box, shipping cost was nearly $400; more then the actual product itself. The letter also stated that in returning the item I was accepting the fact that if the item was returned damaged in anyway I will only get a 10/20/30% refund based on the condition of the product and that I was not entitled to a full refund at all. During this entire MONTH long process I received 2 separate messages from the “manager” with a rather threatening message which was basically written and perceived as “if you don’t remove your negative feedback we will prolong this as long as possible and may not even complete your refund for you.” They wanted me to remove my feedback to give them the “will” to complete this return for me during this “difficult time.” The will to complete this return is that you sent me a completely broken product and you WILL be paying for the return shipping and you WILL be giving me a full refund regardless of the condition you receive it in. Long story short, Amazon got involved made them pay the return shipping and refund me 100%. But it literally took a month and a few threatening emails back and forth with this disgrace of a company. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING COMPANY!!!! "

BUYER BEWARE! THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS!

"I ordered a Cybex baby stroller through Amazon from them thinking it was the original "Cybex" company themselves. I opened the item and noticed it was the wrong stroller. I contacted Amazon right away to find out that they are a third party seller through Amazon and NOT the original Cybex consumer themselves. No problem, right? I opened a return through Amazon and was then told I would be responsible to pay the shipping charges in order to get a refund when CLEARLY, they are advertising "FREE RETURNS" on their items through Amazon which means that THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RETURN. They gave me the runaround through Amazon and Amazon pretty much just told me to figure it out with them since they are a third party seller and are solely responsible for their products. I decided to open a dispute through my bank showing all the necessary documentation. This scam company ended up sending their "terms and conditions" showing that the customer is responsible for the return and they won! My bank ended up siding with them! I don't understand how despite all of these complaints through Amazon, Amazon is still letting them get away with what they are doing and not shutting them down and declining their business! Needless to say, I ended up losing almost $600 and being scammed by these horrible con artists. I found out that they are some drop shipping company based in a Texas with a bunch of fake/phony positive reviews and have an F rating on the BBB website! They have outright scammed loads of innocent people like me for years through third party websites like Amazon and Walmart and are continuing to hide behind these companies and getting away with it! How evil and heartless can you gets? Shame on these disgusting people fooling all of us!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t purchase from them! They’re reviews are just as fake as their company and the people who run it!

Don’t buy

"Crappy customer service. It’s just short of a scam. Our purchase came damaged. We had to pay to ship it back and they charged us a restocking fee of around 25%. Incredibly hard to deal with. Once we shipped it back they claimed they never received it. Once I showed them who signed for it did they process our return. That’s when we found out about the restocking fee. Some people just aren’t honest or nice. "

Scammers

"Purchased a vanity via Amazon. The vanity is beautiful, however the door and a drawer arrived crooked. The contractor did not inspect it before installing it. I contacted vv and requested a return/replacement. They have been sending me the same message that they are waiting for the concerned party to respond. I got Amazon Customerservice engaged and was advised that this company tries to push you out past the return window so they can deny the claim. Amazon sent them an urgent message for them to respond. If they don’t respond, then an they will investigate the eligibility of submitting an A-Z guarantee claim . Amazon will also remove them as an approved seller. Still waiting for a response and will update. "

Buyer Beware!

"Like so many others, I found out too late about VIR Ventures and their unethical sales practices.

This purchase that I made was a SCAM from the very beginning and I feel worse for being outright lied to even once I became aware of what VIR Ventures was doing, than I do about losing $200.00.

The incorrect item descriptions which is blatant false advertising, failure to offer purchase confirmation info, unavailable delivery tracking info, incorrect product delivery, blatant scam "delivery confirmation email" with the product number and item description that is totally different than what you thought you bought and is sitting on your front porch, contacting them via email to complain about product delivered being different than described, and insulting customer service once you are aware that your complaint email will be ignored
and you'll have to call them... are all something to make your day because you had several hours to kill anyway.

You'll have to call this company VIR Ventures and if you can remain diligent and get through to an actual person... it's just the beginning of the nightmare.
After they've bounced you around to several "departments," they will still make you again email them with your complaint for "review." Don't get your hopes up, they are only going to insult you and offer you a 10% discount to keep the item and "gift it to somebody."

They have already stolen your money and will keep as much as they can "legally" but unethically by making you pay to return the item. That's as far as I have gotten thus far with them at this point. They have not replied to my email with my request for a Return Authorization reference number. From what I've read since I became aware, they will also be charging a restocking fee and/or used product fee, and so from the $200 that I spent to purchase these running boards for my vehicle, I will have spent $50 to return the falsely advertised product and over $100 will be deducted from my refund for opening the box and discovering it was the wrong Item once it was delivered.

So I will probably get refunded a total of $50 from my $200 purchase and have nothing to show for it but wasted money, time and energy to send back a product that they will just scam somebody else with all over again once it's back in their hands!

I looked online immediately after my purchase because I got no confirmation email and the item was "no longer available" because I got the last one (haha.) Well, several weeks later it's back online with the false ad description all over again, showing just how much they care that I made them aware that their description for the item was wrong. Not only do they not care, but it's blatant false advertising and unethical sales practices. I don't know how anybody that works for this company sleeps at night.

Any manufacturer that allows VIR Ventures to sell their product is a company that will no longer get me to purchase the item from them ever again. I don't care if they sell the only food left on earth, I'll hunt my own. I'm also starting my own personal boycott of products with APS and iBoards, whom after I called to inform what happened were polite but showed no integrity or motivation whatsoever to contact this seller and tell them to do the right thing.

I know many companies that have good business ethics and care about the end users of their product, and that is only where my money will go from now on. My current vehicle, and any other vehicle I ever own, will now NEVER have anything manufactured by APS on or in it, and if I ever hear that any of my friends are shopping for their product they'll get an earful from me about my experience and just how disgusted I am about it. I will never buy anything from a company that allows VIR Ventures to be their 3rd party seller for the item I'm shopping. Sorry Sears Holdings, sorry Walmart, sorry eBay, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, (yes they ALL allow this company VIR Ventures to sell on their platforms) if VIR Ventures is attached to your product, I'm out! I don't care about any of the Money Back Guaranteed policies, if I didn't get back either all of my money for incorrect product delivery OR the right product in exchange for being lied to in a supposed fair seller/buyer platform, what are your ethics for hosting such an environment?

As so many have said, what a shameful and unfortunate situation for all involved. We can only try to help one another by spreading the word. The 10/100 rule still works, it just takes time!

Horrible customer service

"I have to assume that all these good reviews are from people who have not attempted to return anything g to this horrible company.

I ordered a product, then canceled the order about an hour later - once on the site I purchased, once via email directly to Virventures.

Heard nothing, then received a shipping notice. Contacted again, requested they contact the carrier to cancel. They were not capable of that.

The box is sitting outside my front door and, despite the site's statement that items are fully 100% refundable within 30 days, they want me to pay for return shipping and to lug this piece of furniture to a shipping store.

Customer service is horrible, no help whatsoever. The representative just reads some standard script - I know this be a use I have had the same conversation with 3 people.

Buyer beware if you decide you don't want to keep your purchase. It's quite the headache and I'll avoid this business like the plague in the future.

Canadian shipper is Terrible! Buyer beware

"READ BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS DECEITFUL COMPANY- We bought a mantle in error in the wrong colour off their Amazon web page, so we ordered another. When the first one came in we immediately replied to them to send it back; This is where we were told it was up to us to cover shipping costs, which was an additional $112 dollars. We werent impressed because that wasn't listed on the web page but whatever, we wanted that second mantle! So, we took the first mantle back to the post office (Keep in mind we NEVER EVEN OPENED THE BOX, and the box had no damage), paid the $112 dollars to ship it back and then insured it for the $1000+ dollars it had cost us in the first place. We waited from January 29, to February 14th, 2022 and heard NOTHING from the company. We reached out and they advised us we would need the tracking number to have them look into it to guarantee the refund the money back into our account (that was ANOTHER importantthing they never told us- so we were VERY glad we insured it!). (I don't even think they were expecting us to actually HAVE the number) but we provided it. It took them another day to reply to, where they then told us that it wasn't returned in its original condition and then withheld approximately $160 dollars!! BUYER BEWARE - THIS COMPANY IS DECEITFUL AND TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. We will NEVER recommend this company nor deal with them in the future EVER again."
