"Unbelievably bad experience. Had to return damaged hard bags, cracked. Took over 1 month to receive new ones. Opened quick disconnect hardware to find no instructions and missing parts. Read online pdf which I was told was outdated, but then told it's their only directions.
Called manager, supposedly. He then finally told me all of the parts don't get used but he had nothing to offer as to what gets used where in the process. Just figure it out through trial and error!!! So they have nobody that can talk intelligently about their own product. No specific directions. And they call a regular nut a lock nut. Have no clue if I have all the required hardware to start attempting assembly.
Pick up a bolt and install it. Which bolt? A bolt. Just put it all together. There. You're done.
The video is just as lame. They skip ahead to midstream installation. No detail. Not step by step. Something that should be so easy for ANY COMPANY to do with today's technology. "
"I found out about these bags when I purchased a used bike with Viking soft bags already installed. I loved these bags as they we almost perfect but I really wanted locking bags. I looked Viking up online and found the perfect bags , leather wrapped hard saddle bags that lock. I was surprised at the very reasonable price. I ordered them and within 7 days they were at my door in Canada. The install was done by myself in about an hour and they looked awesome. The quality really blew me away as the locks & hinges were made of a great quality metal and look like they will last forever. I even did a video review for them and that was my first ever. Since then I have convinced 2 other people to purchase them as they loved mine. Next I am buying a leather wrapped tour pack as it will match and finish off my bike. "I purchased a set of bags, what I had thought was leather wrapped was actually painted. I tried to exchange them but it was my mistake so they would not exchange. Even thought the picture with the leather wrapped bag clearly shows the number, 12233 for the painted bags. Being my mistake I was keeping them. When I went to install the bags they weren't even the Lamar XL bags I mistakenly ordered. After a process and proving that they were wrong with pictures showing measurements, they were 11 and 21 should have been 13 and 24, and then convincing them to pay for return shipping they agreed to change the bags. Now they get the bags back and claim they are not in new condition! Julio had me send pictures showing the bags had no holes in them from drilling. Viking bags claim they arrived damaged, scratched. They were not when shipped. I cant control what happened after I gave them to UPS. The pictures Julio sent me are so close up and blurry its not even funny. Now they want me to send a shipping label to return the bags that are not for my bike or forfeit them to be disposed of. ARE YOU KIDDING? What kind of customer service is this?!"

"Website says same day shipping. I ordered bags on Sunday expecting them to ship Monday. Here it is Tuesday and they said they had been shipped but not to track them until tomorrow. Tracked them anyway and UPS said the label had been created Tuesday morning but had not been received by UPS. There are no supervisors to talk with and the chat person left me hanging after I told him the label had been created today. Now I can't seem to get them to talk with me. Requested by email for a supervisor to call but that has not happened. Obviously the CS people are trained to lie to customers about shipping. Any one can go to UPS and create a label and get a tracking # and ship the item days later and most people won't know the difference. his company is not trustworthy."
