Customer Service

"I've had to reschedule the delivery of my adjustable bed several times over the last few weeks. Each time I called Value City Furniture store #92, in Mechanicsburg, PA, I got to speak with Susie in customer service. I have to say that she had the best personality and couldn't have been more helpful with me. Thank you Susie for accommodating me and making me laugh amongst the chaos I was dealing with. You're the best!!!

Timely

"We had great customer service in the store at Chesterfield, MI and really good delivery service. Very friendly and helpful in the store. We had one date delay but was there for second date delivery and they did a great job also."

Horrible service

"I bought the kitchen table set and buffet table at Value City at April and I have to wait till then end of May to get the table set deliveries. When they delivered the table set, all the chairs have been assembled already with no cover and protection. There were so many dust on those chairs and one of the chairs already had stain on the seat cushion and big scratches on the top. And there were two legs missing, so the delivery guys couldn’t put the table together. They told me that they are contractors, so I have to call value city myself to get this problem solved. So I called the value city at 10am, the customer manager Craig told me that he needed to confirm the situation and would call me back ASAP, but I waited till 4:30pm, still no any call from value city. Then I called again, there was another customer service lady picked up the call and I asked her to transfer the call to Craig, then she just told me that Craig would call me back. It seems to me that the customer service manager just trying to avoid taking the calls. So I just want to have other customers know that if they are thinking about buying furniture, just don’t go to the Value city, because it would only cost you money, waste your time and energy. "

Warranty

"Worst Experience, tech guy came in. Looked at the couches, checked to see the cushion and saw that the zipper had been open, he zipped it back up. I told him that the cushion is still concaved, the tech said they will send another furniture over.... Anywas, long story short. My couch is a lemon and nothing has been done about it. I mean the customer has to do all the work, paper work, follow ups. I hate value city furniture customer service and how the go about processing things. Avoid their warranty at all costs. "

Pure Happiness

"We went here just to look, Sherri greeted us at the door and let us know she was there if we needed help. We browsed and fell in love with a living room set, but Sherri made the experience. We can buy a couch from many places, but you can not get the customer service We experienced from Sherri anywhere else. She was not pushy and gave us space which was appreciated, when we finally made a choice she made the process quick and painless. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you Sherri!

Worst Experience

"I have a warranty on my furniture, when I filed a claim they told me the total set would be replaced in November. After much back & forth they then said only the couch. They said the other choice I picked for the other items were not covered although it was an option. They sent me to the store to get a replacement. The store charged me an additional $50 then ordered it. When I came to pick it up they gave me the wrong color. They have been claiming they will call me back as of last week but still no resolve. I called customer care and had to hold for 1 1/2 hrs then they said they can issue an %80 refund after they come get the wrong couch. I told them it wouldn’t be enough to purchase my replacement they then put me on hold to speak to a manager whom I have not spoken to yet. This has been the worst experience ever and I paid almost $300 for this warranty that they are not upholding. Please help!!!!"

Delays/Terrible Customer Service

"I called the Newport News store a couple of weeks ago to inquire about my delivery and asked if I could receive some type of discount. I was transferred to a manager by the name of Calvin. Calvin told me that he couldn’t give me a discount however he could give me a gift card. He asked if I wanted to pick it up or have it mailed to me. I said he could send it via mail, but I never received it. After a couple of weeks I called to ask about my gift card and was told that the note entered in the system said to mail after delivery has been received. I ordered this dining room set the first week of October and my original delivery date was 12/18. Then I was given another date in January. Then I was told they received 4 of the chairs and they wanted to schedule the delivery of those chairs. Not much I can do with 4 of the 6 chairs and no table. I requested that the chairs be held until all pieces were available. So not only am I waiting on a delivery of my dining room set , the gift card was also delayed. "

Traverse City VCF-Great Customer Experience

"I recently moved to the area and needed basically all furniture except for my bedroom. When I first walked in, the sales associate Lynne Morgan asked what we were looking for and sent us in the direction of sectionals. She was not pushy and distanced ourselves to pick out couches and sit on them without being hovered over. I really appreciated that part I felt no pressure. Then, she pointed me to the kitchen tables where she let me look over them and I made a decision. I also picked out a desk and bookshelf when I went back to place my order. She was so helpful in helping me finance and went over my entire cart, warranty, and delivery dates. She tried to get my delivery dates as soon as possible, and her manager Christine was also extremely nice and understanding. Very helpful. I am excited to get my furniture and have faith that if anything goes wrong, they will make it right.

If you want a non-harassing type furniture shopping experience, with a respectful and kind saleswoman, please go see Lynne. She is awesome and you will not regret it!

Awful customer service

"I came into the store I ordered a mattress and box spring, paid for delivery. Order gets to my house missing pieces. I called the store spoke to Taylor who has a horrible horrible attitude. She kept putting me on hold and wouldn’t ever come back to the phone. I had to go through my credit card company and dispute the charge. Don’t purchase from them. "
