"On 4/25 I ordered RED vinyl

After waiting an entire week without any confirmation of order or tracking information I finally received a box of vinyl

Navy Blue vinyl.

I tried to reach the service center via the Livechat function on the website and both times after waiting well over 4 minutes each time the chat was ended.

Upon calling the ***-***-**** hotline your representative whose name i didn't get said I had to pay to have the mess up fixed by FedExing the box I received back to the plant(at my cost).

Upon asking for a Manager, Brandon Davis picked up at which he began by asking if the representative allowed me to send an e-mail of the mess up.
I advised that I had only been told to send it back.

Brandon then furnished me his E-mail address and stated to take pictures of the roll and the tag found on the box.

I then asked a simple question of how long before my order would be corrected (as I had clients waiting on me for their product) Brandon could not even answer it.

A simple question as to whether or not I needed to get vinyl in the meantime could not even be answered by your management staff.

As a result I have to order heat press vinyl from your competitors and will NEVER shop with USCutters again. Furthermore, I will be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to use USCutter and to go with someone else.

The service I was rendered today was an absolute travesty. Never in all my life have I been so poorly treated. Specially after spending over $1300 in less then two months with more business coming.

"I thought I was getting a good deal on a vinyl cutter, but like the old saying goes you get what you pay for!! I spent $300 on ebay for a vinyl cutter with a company called USCUTTER. I received the cutter in 10 days!!! was told 5 days at most! Box was in perfect shape, and I was very excited to start making designs, decals, and MONEY! I open up the box to my surprise....a brand new cutter...woo hoo after further inspection there were some minor scratches and a leg had a crook in it but...at that moment it didnt matter. I had a vinyl cutter! Orders piling up from family and friends I went to work. 1 day no problems,2nd day no problems, 3rd some weird noise but went away after the cut....8th day I go in to my office knock out a few designs and turn on the vinyl cutter, send the designs to be cut and...nothing just sat there..check the connections, restarted everything 10 times. Nothing. So I called up uscutter and ask them if they knew what might be wrong. Bad idea!! Told me to check what I already checked and said "if must be the motherboard" what!!, its not even 2 weeks old and the motherboard went out. Then he went onto say I probably didnt have it grounded properly and if that was the cause I would have to buy a new motherboard $80. Told me to ship it to them so they could service it and I would have to pay for shipping both way.....Long Story Short....STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS....CROOKS"

"We purchased a USCutter Refine MH1531 (the larger model, there’s also an MH751 and MH871). Does it cut vinyl? Yes. Does it cut it well? No. Would we recommend ANYONE buy it? No. That includes DIYers and those looking to start a new business. Invest in some real equipment.

1.) Tracking – this machine does not track the material straight to save your life. If you cut out large text that is 8-feet in length (common for banners or MDF signs) the text will be about 1/4″ to 1/2″ out of alignment.

That means you’re going to have to install it in several pieces instead of one just to keep everything straight.

2.) Tracking (hey, it’s so important it is number one and two) – the USCutter Refine does such a poor job tracking that objects aren’t even cut correctly. Try to cut a 20″x8′ long box and you end up with a parallelogram and the cut doesn’t complete. It’s so off and out of square the cuts don’t connect.

3.) I hope the cutting software you use has sign compensation. Our cutter cuts things entirely too large. Something 90″ long will almost be 92″. Luckily our software can fix this issue. But if you plan on buying this machine to cut some precisely sized things, you will be disappointed. So for cutting window film (tint) or paint protection film (clear bra) this cutter will not work for you.

4.) Doing small things is almost impossible. Go ahead and play with your blade offset for days (.012 works “best” for us), but that will not make a difference. At the end of the day most of your cuts on small things will not line up properly. If you software has overcut (where at the end of the cut, the blade will go past the beginning of the cut) will sometimes make it even worse. This will make a “tab” of where it’s not connected. Guess why this happens? That’s right, TRACKING!

4.) The noise. This thing is LOUD. You will not be able to be on the phone in the same room with it or converse with coworkers or a customer. It’s so loud it is embarrassing.

5.) Speed – or lack thereof. Small things like text have to be done on the lowest speed setting (4 inches per second), medium and large sized objects can be done at 12 inches per second. Anything above that causes the tracking to be so far off you can’t use what has been cut. Anything faster than 4 ips for small text causes the edges to get lifted and letters to be lost (goodbye to the dots at the top of lower case I’s). A quality cutter should be able to run at 20 to 30 inches per second.

6.) This machine does not advance after plot. When it’s finished cutting it REWINDS THE MATERIAL! What a waste of time. Between the slow inches per second and rewinding every cut you will waste hours of labor over the next year. It won’t take long and a faster and better machine will save you money.

7.) Random stops. Nothing like being halfway done with a large cut and for no good reason the plotter just stops. Great way to waste some material.

Now before you say it, we’ve tried to fix it. Loosen the pinch rollers, tighten the pinch rollers, use two, three or four pinch rollers. It does not matter. Feed out some slack in the material or don’t, it doesn’t matter.

It is our opinion this machine sucks. Do not buy it. Save yourself hours of headaches and rolls of material and buy a real machine. While we have no experience with the USCutter PCUT, Laserpoint, Copam, or ZenCut….we can only imagine you get what you pay for.

"I ordered this cutter almost 4 years ago. (the last order date doesn't go that far...) I'm sorry I don't remember the order number. that being said, I lost my job as a sign guy for sign-a-rama he closed his location, in Chicago Ill. so I decided to look for a cutter for my self and get into business for myself. I was already doing printing so I was missing the vinyl cutter. I found USCUTTERS online and said I'll try it. I found this plotter to be dirt cheap and could not pass it up. it was delivered on time with stand. and since then I had one problem with the USB connection I called and emailed but I did not get an answer. NO Customer Service HELP !!.. but I was grateful the plotter had more then one computer connection. ! So I used the COM port instead. 3 years later no huge problems. Still working like a champ and even works with windows 7 and flexi signs !! to be honest it has acted up with not completing a circle or jagged edges but problem go away when you shut off the cutter then on again. I'm ordering from them now. Vinyl is inexpensive.

"I started this site for one reason. I am tired of companies that take advantage of people. Why do I say that. On August 5, 2009 I bought a US Cutter MH-721 direct from them. It was a brand new unit. I got the unit several days later and followed the very limited instruction ( got more instructions my bic ink pens) and spent tons of time on the phone and locating drivers. Finally got it installed and it worked for about a week. Yes a Week.

It started stalling in the middle of a cut, cutting jagged lines, LCD showing crazy symbols and more. I call support of the next few weeks and get it working for a day maybe ( I do not use it alot). Finally, I speak to Levi H. at Us Cutter. He tells me that I need a new motherboard he has seen it hundreds of times. Well I am not rocket scientist but if you have had hundreds of issues with a part don't you think you should do something about it! Maybe it is just me. :roll:

Any way he said he would be more than happy to send me a new motherboard....BUT I have to pay an $80 deposit (I have not got this back yet), I had a customer I had already promised a job to so I had to next day air it to my office, $40.

I get the new motherboard,WRONG Levi H. at US CUTTER it still does not work. Call them back, he says I will have to send the unit in for repair. I will have to pay more shipping cost to get the unit back to them and be with out the machine even longer now.

Enough is enough!!! I want my Damn $80 back and a full refund or exactly what I paid for, A NEW UNIT THAT WORKS!!!!!!!!

"I researched for a few months before deciding to take the plung and purchase a vinyl cutter. I researched again and found a great community forum hosted by uscutter that will help you with any questions you have about your cutter. The forum has a nice bunch of people and even the tech support visit the forum and usually help you right there and give out their phone numbers for you to contact them directly or they will call you if you have any tech support questions. I have only had my cutter for a few days now and I have only used the pen to plot somethings to test. So far it is great. It came very quickly and I received the FedEx tracking number the day it was shipped. It was packed very well and had no problems with assembly. I highly recommend uscutter for your budget vinyl cutter and supplies.. A++++

"I was looking for a backup machine for my Sign Cutting business. Delivery was prompt. The vinyl cutter was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It looks much better than in the pictures on the website. After getting it started, we have decided that we like this machine much better than the old Roland unit that we have in the shop and started using it as our primary cutter. So for, after a month, we have not had a single problem.

No need to contact support, so I don't know how it is, but this machine is super simple. They are even starting to show spare parts on their website at reasonable prices - I was afraid of buying a cutter that wouldn't be supported in the future, so this is a real plus."
