DON'T father calling customer service if you want a real person

"I have been trying for more than 45 minutes now to access a real-life person at their one 800 supposed CUSTOMER SERVICE phone number.

I need to know if a package has been delivered, As the tracking update has not been given only that it was going to be redirected and delivered the next day

I had to give 50 kinds of information and just to get an update on the status of my package after I entered the tracking number.

Apparently the COMPUTER could not find my tracking number or did not like the information that I gave verbally. So they said they were going to connect me to someone that could help me.

FINALLY!!!!!!

WELL . . . I got excited for NOTHING, because the wait was in excess of an HOUR!!!

AND, as I am trying to access this information from an international location, I am not able to schedule a call back.

THIS is THE worst customer service I've ever seen in my life and they want increases in stamps? for what !!!

Takes weeks to get you stuff

"It came from China in 6 days to get to Cleveland, Il and it sat there a week then it went to somewhere else in Cleveland for the last three days I could have drove there and got it faster i live in Michigan a few hour drive there from my house tearible service "

If . could give NO star I would

"I ordered a package 10/11/2018 and still have NOT received it.. I called 800 number for customer service waited over 45 mins opened up a case local usps called still have NOT received my package , representative from ***-***-**** advised me to physically go get my package not ONCE did she ask am I physically abled to, limited mobility PLUS I PAID for it to be delivered to me not for me to pick it up!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE "

USPS Mafia

"I was taken by the USPS mafia. I sold some electronic equipment on Ebay on 8/29/18 for $700. Being a good Ebay seller, I wanted to ship it that day. I took it to UPS to ship and found out the cost of shipping was a lot more than I expected. So, I decided to save a few $$$ and ship with USPS (bad decision). I shipped 3 boxes 2 Day Priority INSURED for a total of $143.45. The 2 smaller boxes arrived to the buyer, but the larger 33 lbs box never arrived. Fast forward a couple of months past HOURS on the phone with USPS, being on hold 2 HOURS at a time, being told it was a t post office in Chicago, having my buyer physically go where USPS said it was, filing missing mail claims, filing insurance claims, going to the post office and waiting in line to fill out refund paparwork, here is the result:
USPS DOES NOT REFUND SHIPPING COSTS FOR PRIORITY MAIL! It doesn't matter how much it costs or if the mailman sets it on fire right in front of you. Once they have your money and your package, good luck!
USPS WILL NOT PAY THE INSURANCE CLAIM UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE THE VALUE OF THE ITEM TO THEIR SATISFACTION! I have no purchase receipt for the equipment, so I can't prove the value. I did sell several items on Ebay for $700 (the equipment has never been opened and is worth well more than that), but apparently the Ebay transcript and PayPal logs are not enough to prove the value. My claim has been denied and my final appeal has been "under review" since 9/17/18.
YOU CAN"T SPEAK TO A PERSON TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM! When it comes to filing this claim - you cannot speak to a real person to explain that is was an Ebay sell and the circumstances. You submit the forms online and have a 200 character explanation box.
WHY ASK ME HOW MUCH MY ITEM IS WORTH AND ASSIGN A $$$ AMOUNT FOR INSURANCE IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO PAY WHEN YOU LOSE/DAMAGE THE ITEM?
WHY CAN YOU CHARGE ME FOR A SERVICE, NOT FULFILL THE SERVICE, AND EXPECT THAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE A REFUND?
What can I do about it? Probably nothing but complain on the internet....

"Reading all the review by other customers made me feel a little bit better about myself and my situation, because my experience with the local USPS office in Bedford, TX has been very similar like others and the worst part is that you try to complain to a supervisor or USPS online and and they treat you even worse. It makes you feel completely helpless.
My experience started 2 months ago when I was overseas for 3 weeks, my mailbox got full and the delivery person by the name of Pamela left a note that my mail will be held at the postal office because I am not emptying my box. I removed all the coupons and brochures that they stuff my mail box with and left a new sticker with my name (it s an apartment complex) . for 5 days in a row we were playing the same "game" with that individual - I put a sticker with my name, next day she removes it and put one stating "unclaim" and refuses to deliver my mail. Really? Is that a normal person. I went to their office , spoke to a supervisor and he made me fill a form so they can start deliver my mail again, meanwhile all the mail for past 4 weeks have been returned to sender.
As most of you know in the apartments there is an area wih all the mailboxes, and many people just throw around all that coupons, advertisements, brochures etc. A week ago I have a not in my mailbox from that person saying to" stop throwing my mail on the ground or I will return ALL your mail to sender. I AM NOT YOUR MAID!" - word for word. I went to USPS local office spoke a supervisor, he acted all serious about it, and next day - my new name sticker is removed again and no mail . The supervisor's name was Bobby (Mitchel ? Chad? or something). He assures me that will naver happen again, untill next when my latest sticker is removed again and note saying " ALL mail is held at P.O - per Bobby whoever". I went looking for Bobby. He was hiding all day from me, turning down my phone calls and finally responded apologizing saying tomorrow I ll get my mail delivered. Today I got another one of my name stickers scratched from the mailbox, and no mail. Bobby is hiding again, but another supervisor answers my phone call and starts yelling in phone that she knows "all about" my situation, and they are not going to deliver my mail till I stop throwing stuff on the ground, literally acting like a drunk person, won't let me speak and threatens me with the police ??!!!! Fro what - she doesn't know either. when I was able to ask her - how could I throw mail on the ground when my mail is not being deliver for the past week, she responds that she sees the pictures...????? I submitted many complains on the usps site last month, with no luck hearing from them, I ve complained to the inspector general with no luck either. today is poke to somebody from USPS consumer affairs and supposedly they "will see and investigate".
This is USPS , our federal government postal service. I don't know what are the qualifications for that department, but they definitely need to start doing polygraphing and psych evaluation. I am just speechless. This is outrageous!

Terrible costumer service

"If I can give it 0 stars I would. I've been waiting for a package that should've arrived within 7-10 days took over a month to come. Was in the living room waiting (with a working door bell) all morning and afternoon. I happen to check my mailbox and saw a paper saying that their was attempted delivery which are LIES!!!!!!!! This is not the first instance and they need to retrain these workers. People don't have time to sit and wait for lazy workers. "

Lazy

" I have lived at my home for 18 years and have found that consistently the mail carrier is too lazy to deliver any packages or letters that need signature. I’m tired of having to go to the post office, which is less than pleasant and inept, to pick up such items because again my mail carrier is too lazy to drop them off when I am home!
Today I had to go pick up a package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday and was not. I was told it was not delivered because they had a new mail carrier who “did not make it to my address”. Instead of placing my package back in the mail for delivery today they held it at the post office requiring me to pick it up.
I also get neighbor’s mail in my box regularly.
They have been consistently horrible and do not deserve the one star.

"PLEASE go with #USPS on Tweeter, Instagram, and Facebook to publicly talk about your experiences. Then, contact your state senators to follow up on your cases. They will offer you free lawyer to take your rights. Never stop fighting for your rights.Otherwise, they will continue stealing your belongings.
USPS stole a 45 lb package that I mailed from their office in NY. There were 60 different items in my package. The status says that my package is in the mail recovery center. I have talked to 20 different supervisor and manager. Talked to mail recovery center (dead mail) supervisor more than 10 times. Went there is person. asked for security camera check. Submitted 8 missing mail requests with all the information, brand, color, size, picture of each item and document. The only thing I kept hearing was that they were going to sell my stuff in an auction soon! They could not find my package because they stole it. They did not offer me an insurance in the office when I was mailing my package. Never said they would not compensate me if any thing goes wrong with my uninsured package. Now, they are hiding behind their internally hidden regulation for not giving me a cent. Thieves. **** you and your corporation thieves.

"WARNING: USPS is using a NEW tactic that is UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES and someone should file a class action suit against them. I sell on ebay and I always weigh my packages on the 24 Hour Customer shipping center scale and print postage. When the package is sent to the customer it either shows up as postage due or the hold the package as extortion until they receive the OVERAGE charge from the customer. This is UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES as this is not the property. They either need to correct their scales or eat the cost of running improper scales BUT they cannot hold other persons property in exchange for more money. No one else in the country could ever get away with this tactic NOT should the USPS. CAUTION!"

HORRIBLE SERVICE

"About 80% of our packages are not deleviered when it shows they are in our tracking. The mail man we have is dyslexic and we’ve complained many times about our problem and they do nothing to help. Sometimes the post office will call our carrier and he will magically find our pacgake even though he submitted it as deleviered. This has been going on for about 2 years and no change. We’ve even suggested to pay money to switch to a new box with a better carrier and they won’t allow it. It seems that our whole neighborhood has gotten everyone else’s mail. "

USPS customer service is horrible

"Where do i begin? USPS has lost 3 packages I’ve sent over. Media mail is this worst option. I made the mistake of buying insurance on one and not the other. Both boxes were shipped at the same time. 1 made it the other did not. I have provided picture description of the box and no feed back yet. I call almost everyday and the wait time is usually 2-3 hours. Each time i get ahold of someone they don’t have an answer. They ask me to file it online which i have but no updates. One lady basically told me to count it as loss because they usually donate the books or throw them away. So what’s the point of writing a report and attaching pictures? What’s the point of filing a claim if they are not going to look. They basically told me to give it up. One lady told me to write the address inside and all over the box. I have done that and tried to ship yesterday. The lady told me i am not allowed to write it all over the box? Why not??? If you are going to lose my box why not have an address if the label goes missing? USPS has lost my trust. The prompt has made it impossible to get a hold of an actual person. It’s really sets you up to give up. They give the impression they don’t want to look. FYI if you box is over 20 pounds they will open it say the lost the label and never ship it. Someone sent me a box through media mail and it happened just like i predicted. Maybe it’s to heavy and they figure if there is no label, there is no need to ship it. Anyway USPS, if it wants to redeem itself has to have people to get a hold of. The phone number is useless and the online claim form seems like a big joke to me.

These guys simply do not know what they are doing

"USPS is a sad example of government inefficiency. While it would be unfair to label them as complete disaster, they deploy some questionable practices and, when compared to their competitors, their efficiency is pathetic. Over the years, I have had a few quite bad experiences with them. To their defense, they are the cheapest, and that justifies the service to some extent."

Unsatisfactory Customer Service

"USPS does not handle customer complaints in a timely or satisfactory manner. I shipped out 3 packages on Tuesday using priority mail, and the clerk stated that they will be delivered within 2 days, versus the 3-5 days of grounds shipping. Now 2 of my 3 packages are delayed and stuck in New Jersey. I called customer service to see if they can refund me the different between the price for ground shipping and priority mail, in which they denied "because the service you got isn't guaranteed delivery within 2 days". Well, that should have been properly addressed by your representative at the 2339 California Ave location. They gave me mis information and you guys are refusing to own up to the mistake. Will not use your service ever again. I'd rather pay more at FedEx. At least they honor their services and their word.
