"I placed an order for toner with Tonermax.com online. The site worked well, the price was attractive. Immediately, they charged my credit card. After a week, I looked and my order was no longer showing under my account. I sent in a comment and got an email that they'd ship "asap" without commitment. Two days later I inquired again and was told that they'd look into it. I asked to speak by telephone and they said that they only communicate via email. After trying to get them to commit to ship, they finally sent an email nearly 2 weeks after I had placed the order saying that they were canceling the order and would be refunding my payment soon. Tonermax responds poorly, takes your money up-front, and unless I had pressed the issue, I would probably still be waiting weeks from now. Oh - and I really need to get some toner for this printer and now I have to start again with another company. I had used them 2 years ago and they were great. This time, terrible. Next time, won't happen."

"New Customer Service Number: ***-***-****

Definitely the best prices on the Internet, but after 3 weeks, I had received no toner or shipping confirmation. The phone number on TonerMax's website was disconnected, but found another number by searching on their domain registration. I eventually got in touch with Sales and was told that I would receive a call back from Bill Love. That didn't happen, so I placed numerous calls and emails to various divisions within Impro Corp until I received a shipping confirmation via email. Toner finally arrived and seems to be working like a charm. If the toner fails to yield at least 2000 pages, I'll be posting a follow-up to this post.

"Shipping took 2 weeks. Shipped defective product. Tonermax phone #'s have been disconnected, and infromation has no new number for them. Will update this review when vendor resolves the problem.

FOLLOW UP 4/20/09: To date I still have not received a refund or a replacement for the defective cartridge I ordered one month ago. I have done some research: this co. is owned by IMPRO CORPORATION, which appears to broker "surplus business equipment". The founder is Wayan Garvey. I found 5 phone numbers, only one of which was actyally answered by a human being. This person promised to call over to customer service to get the issue straightened out. I did receive an email from customer service promising to issue a refund and have the defective cartridge picked up. That was a week ago and nothing has happened. The only thing that this company has done well is take my money. BEWARE of dealing with Tonermax

"Not great. It took 2-3 days after my order was placed to receive a tracking number. I tried to contact TonerMax but was unable to find a phone number (bad sign). I received the product today (exactly one week from order date). The shipping carton was well packaged but the ink cartridge inside was very worn and tattered (however still sealed). There was no date on the package so I don't know how old it is. I hope it works well."

"I am disgusted with TonerMax company. The black toner cartridge I purchased last month is no good as it must have been either used or something. I have only printed about 500 pages and it is reading empty with only 350 pages left. The date on the supplies status page says it was installed on November 26, 2007 when I did not even order or receive the toner until March 2008! what a rip off. Do not buy from this company- they took two weeks to send it to me in the first place and it was no good."

"The package was a dead givaway. Shop worn and handled. Sure enough the HP cartridge was over 6 months past expiration. Only have myself to blame for not checking reseller ratings first. "

"I purchased 4 toner cartridges worth about $900 total. TonerMax offered the best deal I could find, it didn't occur to me to check Reseller Ratings until after I submitted the order, and seeing all the bad reviews it made me nervous. However, I received confirmation emails for the order as well as a shipping confirmation. The cartridges arrived just 3 days later. They were all OEM and in their packaging. My overall experience was great."

"Ordered a full set of ink for an Epson R1800. Tonermax advertised Genuine Epson ink at the best price on the net. Orders over $50 are shipped free, so it was a great deal.

Before ordering, I checked them out here on Reseller Ratings. With a less than stellar rating, I became skeptical.

I did another search on the web and found that they are a relatively new company. I thought that the bad reviews could have been due to start up issues.

I decided to take a chance and placed the order. They billed my credit card and sent an email confirming the order and then another saying my order was, "sent to one of our distribution facilities for processing."

When I did not hear anything from them for a week, I checked their website looking for information on my order. There is no way from their website to check your order.

On October 20 I sent them an email requesting the status of my order. Within a couple of hours I received an email with a UPS tracking number. I checked the tracking and it was due to be delivered that day. It was.

I compared the inks with the inks that came with the printer and they are exactly the same. The boxes also have the Genuine Epson Color Shifting Label on them.

Overall, this has been a great transaction and I will do business with them again. I would like to see a way to log-in and check your order status on their website. It would also be nice if they would send an email with the tracking number when the order is shipped.

"I am very surprised by how amazingly great this company is. I come onto Reseller Ratings and find not even one review about them - but luckily Pricegrabber did, and I went with that; but I decided to come back here to let you guys know you can trust these guys.

These guys are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I am in Los Angeles, California... it took them less than 48 hours to get me my ink. I ordered a printer from another company on the East Coast, and my ink is already here!

The products are shipped via UPS or USPS depending on size, and free for UPS on orders over $50 - I bought three sets of black and color ink which totalled a little over $100, so I was granted the free shipping - I thought it might take a week to come by because it was free, but boy was I wrong; I ordered on a Sunday and recieved the ink two days afterwards, a Tuesday.

I am very pleased with their service and will recommend it to everyone. I read somewhere that they have factories in many locations; whether that is true or not, I do not know, but I do know that this company is very fast, and they sell ink for a damn good price.

The only downside is the site, it's very badly organized; I hope they would redesign it. It takes longer than I'd hope to find the ink of your choice, and the search feature doesn't work the way you want it to, but luckily I got the link via Pricegrabber. I make it sound like it took me ten minutes to find the ink, it actually only took me one, but that's because the search didn't work properly.

All the talking aside, I want to say that I have found a new company from whom I will buy all my ink. Thanks.
