"I ordered 3 workbooks for my kids, however one of them was advertised as "good condition" However all the pages were already written on and answered. I emailed them my complaint and called, the 1st person I spoke to was not very helpful, was rude and very abrupt. I then requested to speak to the manager Lauren, she was able to set up a replacement right away and gave a more acceptable response to my concerns. Any issues speak to Lauren, she is knowledgeable and extremely professional and definitely cares about the consumers! Thank you Thriftbooks I will definitely order again!"
"Do not order from Thrift Books! I ordered 5 books 2 weeks before a graduation service. 1 book was delivered. I sent an email to them and quickly got a response that the rest would be shipped but probably not received in time. I called and asked could they be shipped 2 day or any quicker. I was told No. They did not care that they make a mistake nor did they offer any assistance for me to get them in time"
"I'm really surprised to see the negative reviews. I've ordered four times this year, 3 -6 books per order, and have been satisfied with every order. My local used bookstore closed last year and I've been using this source ever since. Maybe I'm simply more accustomed to what to expect from used books. But if I had received a book with lots of underlining, stains, or -- unthinkable -- mold I would be giving a bad review, too. (I have never ordered "acceptable" condition.) Have I been unusually lucky? I don't order at the last minute, and the shipping time has been as expected. I wonder if people are simply more likely to write a review if they've had a problem.
This is a used book store. If you happen to find a collectible or edition you particularly want, good for you! That is a bonus. But if you just want the book to read, this is an excellent source."
"I got three books, two were bought “good” and one was bought “like-new”. All three came in less than 1 week and were all decent. One of the “good” was in perfect condition while the other had some underlining in pencil. The “like new” one was slightly disappointing because it had more “shelf wear” than I expected but still in very nice condition. Overall the books were in good condition and for sure will be purchasing more books from them soon. Hope this helps!"

"Just received my book in the mail today. I ordered an “used-as new” copy. Very disappointed this book is not “as new” by any definition. There are dirty stains, folds, and even a pen mark across the cover. Very disappointed that I paid more for a copy I thought was going to be “as new”. I wont be purchasing from or recommending thriftbooks to anyone."
"I ordered a Good/Used condition work/study book that we were studying at church. I was so disappointed to see that someone else enjoyed it so much that it was full of all their hand written in ink answers and notes. Still waiting on refund. Website always under construction. I spent the same mount to ship it back but did because of principal. Really dissatisfied and will not reorder. "

"So my experience with thriftbooks is hit and miss. 3 of my 5 books have have come in 1 in excellent condition 2 in acceptable condition. The problem is I ordered all of my books in very good or like new condition. And the ones I ordered in very good condition came with damaged spines and work covers so I would not consider that very good condition let alone good condition. If you care about how your books look or how sturdy they are I would not recommend ordering from thriftbooks wo far only one of my books came in good shape and I'm still missing 2 books that never showed at my doorstep and no way to track them because tracking info hasn't updated in 3 days. I wish I had bought my books new."

"I received a book I never ordered - I had booked ; 'Dirty Picture' and I received a cheap book called "Safe Harbor". It doesnt looks like honest mistake at all..Am asked to ship it back and then ask for balance refund ? This is a fraud practice...Beware"
