No service or warranty for bad batteries

"Buyer beware... I purchased a set of heated gloves plus an extra battery set. Original batteries stopped functioning in less than 8 months. I purchased the 2 year warranty when checking out. They will not help, and referred me to New Leaf. Batteries are not covered under the warranty, and Warming Store claims no record of my purchase, despite sending them screen shots of my receipt. They even keep sending emails stating "you have been rewarded". Any contact gets a run around or no response from The Warming Store, or deferral to New Leaf which will not honor the warranty (batteries not covered)."

Shipping scam

"I ordered a heated vest from this place. The item was $209.95 and the “flat rate” shipping was $5.00. Total amount $214.95.. When I returned the item because it was too small, they charged me $9.99 flat rate shipping back which I can understand. They also charged me again the $5.00 flat rate shipping fee that I initially paid for already when I purchased the item so I was refunded $199.95. I should’ve been refunded $204.95 because I already paid the $5 flat rate shipping and now I’m being charged again for that.(??) am I not seeing something !??!!"

Defective products & terrible customer service

"Do not buy from this store. The products they sell are very shoddy and the customer service is non-existent. My battery-heated gloves started failing less than 2 months after I got them. I contacted the store immediately with a detailed email. They did not respond until 2 weeks later. They asked if there had been any changes and said "we would like to work with you to make sure this problem is resolved." I wrote back immediately telling them that it was still an issue. I never received a response. I sent another email at a later time which was never answered at all. Once the product failed completely, I contacted them via chat to ask if replacement batteries were available. They said no, they were discontinued by the manufacturer, so I asked if other replacement batteries could be used. The representative said "Give me a minute to talk to our warehouse staff and confirm if we have available alternate batteries for that item", and then NEVER came back! I left the chat window open and waited for several hours, and the person never returned. They clearly do not care about providing any service at all."

Worst Store I Ever Dealt With

"I purchased a pair of heated socks for a Xmas gift and they didn’t warm up enough to make a difference. I returned them only to get a partial refund. I paid $77.95 and they refunded $31.18. It cost me $20 to buy a package and for the shipping back . I didn’t mind on the shipping but why did the only refund less then half what I paid ? There is no one to talk to about this as they refer you to there site . So u play text tag and I still don’t have my full refund or a reason . I will be contacting the BBB. And tell anyone who is in my social media reach not to buy from this store . I’m sure they won’t be in business to much longer with this service."

Poor customer service

"I will not shop here again and wish that I had read these reviews first. I ordered a pair of socks for my husband who works outside all day and has cold feet. The socks barely heated up at all, he said it got kind of warm in one spot but never in his toes. They were very good at advertising 100% satisfaction guaranteed, pease return if you are not pleased. I paid $5 for flat rate shipping, then $10 to send it back and THEN they only returned $20 0f the $40 charge because they withheld half for a restocking fee. This is ridiculous! I am so disappointed and WILL NOT recommend this store to anyone I know. I guess this is a good example of why I will be sticking with Amazon from here on out, they make it simple. I wanted to support a small, family owned company, but it will not be this one. "

Poor Service

"I ordered a Christmas present from them on December 11 and paid $10 for two-day delivery. It took more than THREE WEEKS to arrive. By the time it arrived I was no longer at my in-laws' house so had to pay a separate shipping to get it sent back to my home. The customer service was horrible. First they took no responsibility for why the package wasn't delivered during the time frame I had paid for, and when I wrote again to ask for a refund they ignored my request. I will never use them again!"

Horrible Customer Service

"Can not get anyone on the phone. No response to messages or emails. Stated 3-5 days for shipping, but they didn't even have the item in stock. I had to call and email to find out this information. They did not send me a backorder notification. Will never shop with them again.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"DO NOT buy from this company!!! The wrong item was sent to me. I was told by a customer service rep that after returning the wrong item, I would receive 2 day free shipping and 10% off the correct item - a refund would be given for the wrong item received and I would receive a new order with the correct item. I didn't receive any information regarding the refund or new item and had to call to get information. I was not given the 2 day free shipping or 10% as I was told. Let's just hope when my product does arrive that it's the correct item! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!"

Terrible shipping, worse than terrible service.

"Ordered toe warmers for a trip, which arrived after I left, 30 days after the order was placed. The original estimate was for 5-7 day delivery. Tried calling over and over again, 85% of the time I would be routed to a cue and wait online to eventually be electronically told to call back later. "

Terrible site. Don't expect to get your order on time if at all.

"I ordered a heated hoodie from this site and it was suppose to ship in three days. I never got it and never heard from them. I called twice and they said they would have to check on the order. They eventually told me they were back ordered and it would be available in a week. Two weeks passed and no merchandise. I only wish I would have read the reviews of this site before ordering from then. NEVER AGAIN. I like honesty and this doesn't seem like honesty to me. I only wish I could have given it no stars."

Absolutely Terrible Customer Experience - Don't Stand Behind Their Products

"I bought a "Comfort Wear" heated jacket from them for about $300.00 online. The jacket quality seemed decent and it actually heated up very nicely at first. The battery is rated at 500 recharges but it stopped working after only about 5 recharges. We e-mailed them several times over several months with absolutely no help. We called several times and it didn't matter who answered the phone this was their response "The person that looks after that is out of the office right now. I'll have them call you back." NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK. All they needed to do was ship us a new battery. They don't even have replacement batteries for that jacket for sale on their website.
I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. You're running a risk purchasing something from them as they absolutely don't stand behind their products.

Bad experience

"I bought an adapter from them through Walmart’s website for $9.98. It didn’t work. I took it back to Walmart but they said I had to return it through thewarmingstore. I emailed thewarmingstore who told me “thanks for your order with us and we apologize for any inconvenience. We can email you a prepaid label, however, in accordance with our published return policy, there will be a label charge of $9.99.”! So they are charging me more than I paid for the item to return it! I know it’s only a small amount, but what a ripoff. If the item doesn’ work I should not have to pay to return it.
Stay far away from this company!

Gyde battery vest

"Had to wait for cold weather, and this morning the best was tested. I dressed lightly, it was high 30's and raining, and I was sitting in a tree. With a thin fleece over the vest, and a thin raincoat over that, I was more than comfortable at the second setting. I was pleased, as unless it's 75 degrees, I am cold. Very pleased."
