"I ordered a camera part and paid with a credit card. After two weeks I wrote an email to David with no response. A day or two later I wrote another email and no response. I then called and left a message, after no response, I called again and left another message. I never received the part and now I see this is a pattern of the way he does business. This is no way to do business. It is impossible for this many items to be "lost" in the mail. This guy needs to find other work not related to sales and not related to being responsible to others. My advice to others is if you paid with a credit card, call the company and have them reverse the charge and never do business with him again!!!"

"I am sorry that I didn't read all of negative reviews before I ordered from the Camera Hunter. The wrong item arrived and before I sent it back I called and emailed numerous times, but did not receive an answer. I sent the part back and have been waiting since 9-24-08 to receive a credit on my MasterCard. I have emailed and called since then, but to no avail. His website should be shut down for fraud! "

"Despite many emails and phone calls I never received any merchandise from David Wombacher (AKA: The Camera Hunter) My credit card company issued a refund, but I'm willing to be that most folks don't go to the trouble of asking for a refund. That's probably how he stays in business. He's changed his eBay ID due to too many negative feedbacks and now he's selling on Amazon. "

"Paid for items from one of his eBay auction sites. No merchandise received after many weeks. He won't issue a refund. He blames the post office. Of course there was no tracking number. There were no signs that he even cared, in fact, he said he doesn't have to do anything for me. The only thing I got from him was attitude and demands.
Many complaints found in online searches of his various IDs.

"I ordered two 62mm lens caps. The Invoice states two but the package I received only contained one. I called repeatedly on the day I received the package and emailed him a few days later. No response. Apparently, David Wombacher does not care.

DO NOT BUY FROM the Camera Hunter.

"On September 25th I placed an order with The Camera Hunter. I had hoped to have the items before my vacation October 27th but the package didn't arrive. When I returned from vacation November 3rd I sent David Wombacher an email asking for an update, he didn't respond. So I sent another email, this time he replied but the response was "Didn't you get me email?" I apologized and explained that I was on vacation, possibly I deleted it with the ton of spam I received while on vacation. He didn't repsond for a few days. Then he sent an email saying Canada Post was to blame they were taking upto a month to deliver. I responded and explained that the month had already passed... the package should be here.

After almost two months I posted negative feedback for the The Camera Hunter. That got his attention and he started YELLING at me. Told me I should yell at Canada Post. I asked for a tracking number or something that I could use to track down the package with. Big surprise no tracking number.

David then demanded that the negative feedback be removed and said he would refund my money after I removed the feedback. I refused to remove the negative feedback until the problem was resolved.

This is where David showed his real colors. He investigated the payment I made via PayPal. Then sent me an email and said... "You're too late to make a claim against me." If you don't retract the negative feedback I'm going to give you negative feedback. Well for once David was good to his word... he gave me negative feedback this week.

There is nothing I can do about it but let other know that David is scammer. I highly recommend that people avoid dealing with this guy. Besides this site there are other sites with negative feedback for The Camera Hunter.

"Ordered a lens hood from his website in September. He claimed to be the only one to have an item I needed, and he claimed to have it in stock. It is November now and I haven't received anything. The seller did not answer my email, and I could not reach him by phone. $12 are lost. All I can say: do not buy from this guy."

"David has not responded to me since the order took place over 3 months, I got the goods, but returned them for other goods and he has not replaced them to me. He has my money and the goods.

I have just contacted the State of Washington Consumer Affairs Office/Attorney General's office and filed a complaint online, took less than 5 minutes.

"Absolutely the worst buying experience I've ever had! I ordered from this site and got an automated message saying he would ship. I never got the product after weeks and weeks...
He does not return emails/communication either. Read about this guy and how many people also claim to have been ripped off:
