"I called customer service (Robert) on Tuesday to ask about the differences between two Hakko soldering stations. Robert or I couldn't tell from the descriptions so he emailed Hakko and had an answer for me next morning (Wednesday). I placed my order that afternoon and received my soldering station Friday afternoon. I couldn't be happier. That said, the Hakko FX 888D-23Y is everything the other reviews state relative to how well it works. I particularly like the heft of the power supply, the separate pencil holder, and the very flexible and long cable between the pencil and the power supply. I'm looking forward to years of service."

"Ordered Monday 1/15. Saw 3 of item in stock in warehouse that day. Cool! Informed Tuesday AM that shipment would be delayed 14+ days. Interacted with online chat that item would ship Thursday 1/18 from warehouse. Chat with Nirmal said .... "Thursday shipped." .... Monday following alerted that shipment would occur an additional 14+9 days into February. Nothing shipped Thursday. ,,, Almost one month later for projected shipment.. .......fukkj this. Cancelled order that day, and was pursued with "think about it" and "call us back when you reconsider" emails from chat losers. Chat names were Nimrod and Stalin as usernames. Seriously: Stalin.
