"I ordered the Western Digital 80GB SE hard drive. On the site they did not note that the drive was retail, bare, or an OEM drive, so I called their customer support line to find out what kind of packaging it came in. When I called the number I promptly had a person on the other end. The person did not seem to be 100% sure that if it was bare or not. But he said it was retail. So I ordered it. The drive came as a bare drive when it shipped to my home. This was sort of OK because I would think I know more than the average consumer about PCs. The drive has been working very well, and I am enjoying the freedom of the 80GB drive, compared to my measly 6GB drive I had before. The price was very, very good. Packaging was excellent. I now have my 6GB drive in that same box, and as for shipping time: the package came a day early. However, processing the order took a couple of days."
"Not a plesant experience. Ordered on-line, salesman called to "confirm my purchase". Tried to sell me a different camera. I didn't bite. He said they had it in stock and would ship. When it didn't show up in a weeks time I called and ask for a shipping number. "someone will call you shortly" was their response. A week later I called again and was told the camera was on back order. I cancelled the order."
