"Swiss Colony is the worst company to purchase anything from!!! I have purchased from them on a number of occasions and have never been satisfied completely. They are dishonest about what they say in their ads that they send out. Their food products are misrepresented in their ads. They make the products look bigger than what you receive. Their items are way over priced and WATCH OUT when you order, because they will charge you different prices for the same item purchased more than once. If you by chance get the item you ordered, when you receive the articles they are 2 to 3 times smaller then what you think you purchased. Most of the time articles are late (and stale) or never received! They tell you, you will get special offers when you've purchased certain items which they never deliver to you, but instead they charge you for them. GOOD LUCK at getting your money back or trying to cancel an order! If you get any credit through them WATCH OUT, just because they say you have credit, doesn't mean you really get it. Pre-approved is hog wash, it is just their way to reel you in and rip you off! Also when you put in an online order, WATCH OUT, they most of the time do not get the address info correct (This has happened more than once to me). They will also remove items you have ordered, for one reason or another, but they do not let you know about it or if they do try to contact you, (Mostly NOT), it is to late to do anything about it! If you try to get help from their consumer affairs department they are nasty and if you try to even find out about any of the company's info and their corporate office staff, President,etc.,you cannot find out any information on how to contact them or where they are located. I have tried calling them and they will not give me any info and very rude!! It is like they are hiding something. In other words they do not care about their customers satisfaction, so if you have any complaints well, there is no one there that will help you, they just pass you around from department to department telling you they cannot help you and a "so what" attitude. Their attitude is very unprofessional. I will never buy from them again! Please pass this information on so no one else has the stress dealing with Swiss Colony."

"Wow.... So. How shall I begin? Because this whole battle I had with Swiss Colony is going to happen over and over, it appears once or twice a year, Swiss Colony advertises a promotion: Purchase a "Swiss Mouse" and receive "two free gifts!" Package of truffles, and a package of macadamia nuts, or an item of that nature. Then, AFTER THEY GET YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, they take away the non-truffle gift, still charge you the full amount, and ship it to you. IF and only IF you contact them about the error, they will tell you "We're sorry, but there was an error on the website, and the original promotion was supposed to be for just one gift. They'll act as if it's just a one time mistake. It's not, it's a scam they run twice a year. If you don't believe me, simply google 'swiss colony mouse scam' or go to: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Swiss_Colony . THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE IN JAIL."

"Same as another person...I actually bought two separate orders and was extremely dis-satisfied with their customer service. I was supposed to get a free item on both orders. The company just took them off. Wish I had just canceled my order. I will not buy from there again.

"Did online order for some chocolates, got email notification two days later that order would ship without one item, yet they charged me the full price. No ifs ands or buts. They simply took one item off my order. Incredibly enough, that is the way they do business?? Horrible bait and switch."

"When my husband placed an order using his credit card, he was asked for his social security number and whether he owned a home. He refused to give the ss number and asked why they wanted this information. He was told by the lady that she didn't know. He was upset and concerned that Swiss Colony wanted this information. I sent two emails explaining that I was upset that this information was asked for and asked to be told why they wanted it. I also emailed the company. I did not even receive he courtesy of a reply.

I do not feel they should have asked for this information and worry about a scam. Although a long term customer, my husband and I will not order for them again!

"Watch your credit report!!! I have a $1600.00 limit with Swiss Colony and a $26.37 balance. I have been a customer since 1989. I started ordering from their other businesses and when a payment to their Midnight Velvet line was 3 days late arriving in the mail (unbeknownst to me...thank you US postal service) they accepted my order online and then several days later sent me a notification declining the transaction. It said in the note that it was because of my credit report that they pulled through TransUnion and they were unable to provide me with a credit account. HUH? I have a credit account with over $1500.00 available on it! So I call and get a Supervisor in their credit department who did nothing other than tell me I need to read the terms and conditions as they can pull my credit report whenever they feel like it. Well I am in the process of getting a mortgage and have never missed or been late with a payment in over 21 years and because they pulled my credit report instead of just declining the transaction or just sending me a note, my credit score got dinged. So what your credit report as this company is shady with their practices. OH and go to the site and try to find their terms and conditions....they aren't to be found.

"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced, I have been ordering from them since 1986. I will not be back next year!
I ordered online and I clicked on one item that had a delayed shipping date, I confirmed it, It was on the online order slip, but when they emailed me my order that item was not on the order. I emailed them back, they did not respond so I called them. I asked that they still ship the item and they said that they could not, they would place a new order. I said Ok as long as you did not charge me the extra shipping. They refused, and said I would have to pay the whole new shipping charges. This was an IT error and they refused to correct an issue on their end.
Both reps were very rude and unhelpful. In the past the customer service was top notch. I will not be back after 24 years of being of customer becuase of these two scrooges.

"The worst company ever! They are in the credit business, not the sweet business of candies, which actually suck, just like they do. I tried to post a payment online because I don't have hours to spend on the phone with their terrible customer service. The payment couldn't go through for a a few days, because of the zip code confusion. I corresponded with their IT and CS departments via e-mail, until we figured out what was the problem. They trie to get rid of me in these e-mails with their moronic suggestions. Finally, the payment went through, but they hit me with the late fee of $15, which they refused to remove, when I called them and spent hours online trying to talk to various people and supervisors. They are incredibly rude and scheming. DO NOT do business with them! Under NO circumstances. They are making their money off the shipping and handling fees and the late fees and finance charges. I will never do any business with them! Scammers!"

"Swiss Colony doesnt know how to treat their customers. sent in an order that they screwed up. they than charged my credit card and they are sending me past due notices when i clearly paid then with my credit card. sent 3 letters to them and NEVER received a reply. Calling all the time and their custmer service people are VERY RUDE. I have proven that i have paid and they havent proved that i owe them money. I have been a customer for 40+ years and i have NEVER been treated so poorly!"

"Web site is just awful. I would advise against using catalog quick order. One recipient completely disappeared from my basket although the total amount still reflected that part of my order. I got errors on several occasions and these always resulted in having to start the order over again. In addition, I had the weight of some of the foods revert to the smallest amount when I had selected a larger one. Very frustrating. The catalog says that you will receive a free gift with you first order, but nothing prompts you to put it in your basket. Writing to customer service was futile, they are not interested in keeping you as a customer."

"I don't think I have ever been more dissatisfied with an internet company. I placed an order on 12/17 realizing that it may not get to the recipients until a day or two after Christmas. When checking on the status of my order I find it won't be mailed until the day after Christmas. When I contacted customer service they told me I should have paid the additional fee for expidited shipping. That was not the point. because I didn't pay the extra money they won't ship for 9 days. I will never order from this company again."

"This company is the WORST!!!! They should print in bold-face type in the catalog --- "WE DO NOT SHIP ORDERS UNTIL 7-10 DAYS AFTER WE RECEIVE THEM" --- AT THE EARLIEST!!!!
Slow shipping, rude customer service (the customer service lady tried to make it sound like it was my fault that the order shipped late --- I am still trying to scratch my head and figure out how I have control over their warehouse).
Quality of their items I have order in the past has not be great, but this time, this whole shipping debacle has finished me as a customer of theirs, FOREVER!!!!!
