"By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They shipped a defective unit and flat out refused to replace it with a working item. After baiting me into removing negative feedback from their Amazon seller page pending the feedback is removed I did so and returned the item exactly as it was shipped to me. They have now refused to refund and basically stole my money. Dont believe their feedback on Amazon or eBay as I am sure they used this same tactic to remove other negatives. To say their communication is rude and condescending is a gross understatement. I have filed a complaint with the better Business Bureau and suggest anyone who has had a negative experience with this seller to do the same."

"Do NOT Recommend!

Advertised product they did not have. Purchased 2 of then for close to 5K. They told me after the fact they did not have them. I asked why they advertise products they do not have and was threatened if I told anyone or write about my experience online. They even quoted some laws and statutes. I give them 5K for product they never had in stock and I am threatened? Nice..!!

Good thing I purchased from a 3rd party reseller. I got a full refund which I was worried about. They claimed they take 25% if I cancel an order...and I asked how they could do that if they did not have the product. This is their "policy" I was told.

"Good price for product found on (a retailer who sells Craftsman) Marketplace. Placed order on May 11th, didn't receive till May 20th. Fair at best. Two months later, one of three batteries died. They didn't reply to my request for a replacement, till I carbon copied them a complaint to (a retailer who sells Craftsman) a week later. Their response was they only warranty this for the 30 days and after that you are on your own.

Manufacturer warrants the product for one year, but this is Surveillent's wondrous customer service policy. After more prodding they offered to try and get me an exchange but would need a case number from the manufacturer of their techs deeming it defective. Then, they would also need $30.00 to cover the shipping expenses from them to the manufacturer and then from the manufacturer back to them and then to me. They estimated $10.00 per shipment via UPS/FedEx. I find this pathetic!

I notice they are no longer affiliated with (a retailer who sells Craftsman). Gee, I wonder why?

The little you save buying from Surveillent is certainly NOT worth the aggravation you're likely to suffer after the sale.

"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had an UPS tracking number which
only said that a label had been created. After a couple days I emailed them(because you can't talk to them on the phone)to see when it would be picked up, they said UPS had it and it was in transit and that there was a problem with UPS. I spoke with my company's UPS representative and they said they did not have it.
Several days and emails past and finally UPS has it. So the final upshot was that Surveillent.com told me the wrong information because the items were indeed in their warehouse and not with UPS. I would have appreciated them just telling me the truth. The emails that I received from them were rude, condescending, and told me no information. They were not easy to communicate with. I will take my business to companies with better customer service.
After this posting, I received two phone calls in which someone from the company yelled at me about my review. It is interesting that when I when I asked them to call me and discuss my order they didn't, but someone quickly responded to me after the posting.

"Very Satisfied with my purchase!!!! I read tons of horrible reviews of this company, and I was very hesitant about ordering from them; however, their price on my product was over $100 less than the next lowest price. Ordinarily, I would have run far, far away having read these reviews. I'm so glad I didn't! OK; they're a little slow on communication (No real way to call a living person directly, and it took 4 or 5 hours or so to get an email response); but that's not really that bad considering their prices are so good.

Anyway, I'm extremely pleased with my transaction and would have no problem ordering from them again (in fact I just placed another order just prior to writing this review.

"Do not buy from this company. They sold me equipment that have a specialized power adapter that is no longer made! They didn't have this information posted on their website and didn't have any remorse when it happened. And they won't accept a return. Beware!"

"I received a Fedex tracking number after purchasing 3 items. The shipment only contained 2 of the purchased items. I contact customer support immediately via email. They said that their warehouse would respond and to contact them again within 2 days if I did not hear anything.
No one ever responded, so I filed a claim for non-receipt on Paypal. They responded within minutes after I filed the claim. They gave me a second tracking number and threatened to reroute the shipment and ban me if I did not immediately close my claim.
Good prices, but their customer service is extremely rude to a paying customer.

"Buying from Surveillent was the worst experience of my life. First, I ordered an infrared light and the description of the item matched what I wanted, but the product number did not match the description. I received the wrong item, and tried to return the item. This led to dozens of emails and phone calls and I eventually returned the item. However, Surveillent never sent me another IR light! I sent at least ten more emails and called daily for two weeks, but I never could get through. In the end I tried to have the bill canceled off my credit card, but it was too late and the credit card company would not do it. I was out over $1200!"

"STAY AWAY!! Prices may seem ok, but customer service is simply AWFUL. All of the other negative customer reviews are correct. I had the same experience. They charge a 25% restocking charge for unopened merchandise. And when I pursued the return, the reaction was inappropriate and snarky. Still trying to resolve my return of unopened merchandise. I am very surprised Amazon or Sears has a relationship with this highly unprofessional company."

"Purchased a smoke detector unit from them eleven months ago. Had trouble getting a tracking number from them, which they were quick to blame on my spam filter.

Unit recently went bad, and has a three-year manufacturer warranty. Last time I needed to claim a warranty replacement on this model, the manufacturer told me to go through the dealer, so I attempted to contact Surveillant. Their web form says [sic]: "Using the form below will get you a answer in usually just a few minutes however sometimes it can take up to two full business day for a response," but that's a lie. A week later, no response. They do publish one phone number, but it goes straight to voice mail. I asked them, "Tell me how to get a warranty replacement, or if you don't do that, then just get back to me and tell me you don't do that." No response.

Obviously, they pick and choose who to answer, ignore any request that means they have to do any actual customer service, and they get away with it by ensuring that you never get to talk to an actual human being.

(Addendum: Surveillant's response below is a laugh. My review is clearly accompanied by the notation "Your Order Information: # 200856." How can they say no specific transaction is associated with this comment? And what does "authorized review" mean? What nonsense. I have the right to honestly review a vendor in any forum I choose, whether the vendor likes it or not.)

"Read the reviews BEFORE doing business with this company. This company corresponds with its customers via email in a rude, horrible, and totally unprofessional manner. They start off by saying Hello with a smiley face then proceed to insult, demean, and go off the rails with their inability to provide any form of quality customer service. In an attempt to return the items we had received in error, this company responded with hostility, a taunting tone, and accused us of not doing our homework by not thoroughly researching their company before ordering from them.

If I could grade them lower than an F, I would.

Edited to Add: I posted a link to this review site on their Facebook page only to have them quickly delete it and change their settings so I cannot comment on their page. Seems to be an individualized filter because my secretary can access their page and get the comments feature enabled. Is this the action of a legitimate and upfront business? They have just now put up posts to 'authorized' feedback about their business from ebay and Amazon. Funny and interesting how they prohibit their customers (paying ones at that) from writing the truth on their page with the intent to inform future customers about past customers' experience with their company.
