"Never buy a warranty from this store. We purchased a warraty for a large printer for office that was supposed to have immediate on-site service. It has take 2 1/2 mos to finally get someone out. At one point they said they couldn't find anyone and that we had to find someone. When we did, they wouldn't work with then to get the repair. 2 1/2 mos later they are replacing it!!!"

"OMG...don't buy anything from this overpriced company, if you can help doing so. They have very bad customer service and tend to want to act as if you, the customer, made some huge mistake when the mistakes are clearly the fault of Staples. Our small business would work with this vendor and had more problems then it was worth. They lie about a price, then when confronted either cancel the order of the order is out of stock. My company is done with Staples, and I am done with them, personally."

"I have NEVER been lied to so much as I was at Staples.I purchased an HP Photo Printer/Scanner/Fax which sold for $169 but was on sale for $99. They talked me into the 2 year extended warranty because they "guaranteed" me that they would just swap it out for the same type of printer that was equal to the regular price of $149. It worked for a few weeks but I was on the phone with HP twice with wireless problems.I went to Staples when it quit working but did not have the receipt. The manager said they could do nothing without the receipt but that I had a faulty ink cartridge. I bought a new one which still didn't work. They told me to find the receipt and they would swap it for the new model. I just found it, but was told today that they have never done that.Even though I was told this by two people on two occasions but they refused to honor their promise. I even wrote it down on the warranty paperwork when I bought it because I was skeptical. Today,the manager implied that I was lying. The only thing they will do is give me a Staples gift card for $69 &I can apply it toward a new one which is $149.In addition, I sold a customer on a Galaxy tablet while waiting today.He spent $300+ based on my recommendation. I pray he doesn't have problems like I did. Go to Best Buy not Staples. They honor their warranties!"

"cancelled this order immediately after my purchase. and chat with staples online agent 2 hours later, got cancellantion confirmation. however, still got the item been shipped, and it's my duty to return this item for credit. it seems to me that staples is playing trick, trying to push selling on customers, since there is some chance customers get lazy to return it. "

"Ordered certificate holders from Staples Online (store stopped putting them on the shelves). Order delivered next day... very cool, except the many of the items were defective. Called customer service and explained that I wanted items replaced and to make certain the replaced items shipped were not defective. Replacement order shipped the next day... very cool, except same issue of defective product! Called again and was assured I would receive non-defective items. Next day delivery... more defective items!! Called again expressing how truly annoyed with the process and wasted time, energy (they would send a separate truck for pick-up). Customer service at this point did not even apologize. I asked to speak to supervisor who assured me that it would be taken care of. Now, I am waiting for a 5th shipment. All of this for a $50 order! People say that businesses go out of business because of the economy, but the reality is the terrible customer service!"

"Bought a storage unit from them & it was supposed to be delivered on 3/20. Didn't come & I called. CRS assured me t would go out on 3/21....Long story short, it didn't come again today. Now they say it will be here tomorrow before 3pm....I'm not holding my breath...If it doesn't arrive, I'll be cancelling my order..."

"Wow. I have never seen so many bad reviews. Maybe I just got lucky?? I placed an online order with Staples for an office chair and the entire process worked perfectly from placing the order to receiving my chair. I agree that prices for paper goods could be better but I thought the chair was priced quite reasonably and I was happy not to have to go out to buy it and lug the thing into the office myself. "

"I got a digital camera for Christmas from my husband. I went in in January and wanted to trade it in for a better model and spend MORE money for a camera that they sell currently. I had my receipt.However they would not allow me to trade an unused unopened Nikon Coolpix S3100 costing $79 for a Nikon cool pix S6200 for $169. or possibly the S8200 for $249.allowing me to be a happy customer and them to have more $$$ AMAZING!!!They did not want the money, the sale or a happy customer, when we all could have been winners. I Recommend NEVER TO BUY ANYTHING THERE YOU MAY WANT TO EXCHANGE GO TO COSTCO or anywhere else you can trade up.I know I will. PS I did call corporate"

"This is an evil company.

We placed an order which had free shipping and even printed out the order page which showed free shipping.

When Staples processed the order, they charged us a shipping charge however. We contact their customer service about this but they were less than helpful and we may now need to contact our credit card to dispute the charge.

Really bad.

"I am extremely disappointed with their shady pricing strategies and the poor and dishonest customer service i received was awful. From now on i shop at Office depot. They basically sell one hardrive in blue for one price the same in black is 20 more dollars but of course the blue one is out of stock. The coupon code expires and now the black one is adjust to be the same price as the blue one."

"Ordered ALTEC VS2621 3PC speakers as a Christmas present. I love the speakers but they have a low hum. I first tried their online customer service form but got no response. So I called them and they informed me that the 14 day exchange period had passed. I said that I am happy with the speakers, they are simply defective and I would like to exchange them. They would not budge and told me to go talk to the manufacturer.
Why waste your time with a place that has customer service like this? I see why this site says Staples does not participate in monitoring and feedback. They would be overwhelmed with all of the problems. Spend your money elsewhere.

"F*ck! STAPLES! Everyone on here is telling the truth. Their phone center does not even have a clue to tell you what is going on. A lot of miscommunication and poor customer service. no emails and a quick charge to the credit card and slow process to get a refund, very slow to the point where you have to call every 5 days to remind them to give you your money back and you don't want their garbage a$$ product anymore. Amazon For The Win!"

"this store advertized 12 sharpie's for $3 - what a great deal right? They just sent me an e-mail that the item is no longer available - such crap - of course they are not sold out of sharpies on their website - the mis-marked the price and now don't want to honor their orders ...
BAD customer service and false advertisement- tells you something about the integrity of a company - I would have not even said anything if they would have just appologized about the mismarked price and offered some sort of discount on the full price - even if it would have been a couple of cents - but this is plain dishonest ! They lost me as a customer...

"Order approved and paid for, expected their Free Fast Delivery.
Product did not arrive in 2 weeks. Calls to customer service resulted in a variety of reasons for the delay and dates for delivery. finally asked them to track it and call me. no call so after 2 days I called and was told product was out of stock.
Emails to customer service and Staples head office were ignored.
A refund was made after almost a month of being charged.
So, utterly disgusted a t the unprofeesional, uncaring DIS-SERVICE. Will never shopat Staples again.
