Salesperson guarantees it's in stock and will ship immediately. Friday my order is still listed as "delayed shipping". Make an inquiry and am told that this item is also not in stock and will not be for another two weeks. Cancel order. This place sucks."

"Ordering process was easy and shipping time fine. Prices are competitive, too. Don’t forget to check for online coupons (5-10%) and price match feature on their website.
HOWEVER shipping and return policies are sneaky with a great deal of fine print (policies are on website – just read ALL paragraphs carefully).
Be aware: free freight shipping is curbside only (in our case not UPS or FedEx), problematic if item is large and heavy (we are on a 10th floor). Our shipper asked for additional $100 to bring the item inside. ALSO return policy consists of original shipping charges incurred by vendor (even if sold with free shipping) PLUS 20% restocking fee PLUS your own shipping charges: A $500 purchase suddenly becomes a $212 refund! Just FYI: this dealer does not ship some products from NC location but only acts as a true middle man. Our product was sent from and returned directly to the manufacturer. Best solution: ask manufacturer for recommended vendors (e.g. Chief Mfg recommends The Final Click, The Projector People, Mounts and More, CSN Stores) Stands And Mounts is not on this list.
CONCLUSON: If you only need curbside shipping and are sure that you won’t need to return any items: great vendor. Otherwise better look elsewhere.

"I previously ordered some VTI speaker stands last year (which apparently were drop shipped from VTI manufacturing) Recently though I needed replacement spikes for the same stands I ordered from them last year. Confirmation for the order was sent after I received the item . Although, I ordered after their cutoff time on a Friday before the holiday weekend started. I ordered it online on Friday, it was shipped that day and I received it Monday. The package was drop shipped from the manufacturer and delivered via Fed Ex. "I ordered some speaker stands from the company. I checked the website for shipping terms to Alaska as many are different. They even had a very nice FAQ for shipping. I stated nothing about no allowing their free shipping policy to Alaska. I placed the order and it was accepted in there system with showing no charges for Alaska. The next day, I get an email asking if I would like a shipping quote as free shipping does not apply to Alaska. I state that I can find no reference to this on their website and complain of deceptive advertising. I ask that they honor their promise of free shipping. I downloaded the FAQ page to my computer. Just above the spaces where you entered your shipping address it says: Every item on this site Ships for Free within the contiguous United States. * We can not ship to APO addresses or PO Boxes. * Please contact the Sales Department at 1-***-***-**** for shipping quotes to addresses within Hawaii or Alaska Lo and Behold the FAQ page is updated to state that. I have the evidence that it was not there before. "

I ordered an Azura NYC Ready to Live New Tech TV Base (Biscotti and Ivory) 411300 back on 2/16/07. Keep in mind I knew the item wasn't in stock when I ordered it so no biggie. This particular item was being drop shipped from Canada so you have to factor customs into the equation. Well it shipped on 2/28 and I am receiving it tomorrow 3/9 so about a week turnaround works for me. However being the geek that I am I constantly e-mailed customer service. My inquires were answered by Joyce and she patiently answered all my e-mails, questions, etc. Although I haven't received the item yet as long as UPS does there thing I have nothing but good things to say about standsandmounts.com.
