On line shopping with Sporting Life? Forget it! Dont!!!!

"I ordered a Fjall raven product on line in April, 2020. Its almost the middle of June and i have not received my order yet. Email them? Call them? its a waste of time! No one will answer, no one to reply to your email. Nothing! There is something wrong with this company. I ordered something from Atmosphere in 3 days i had the item with me! I want to cancel my order and have a refund so where do I go? Who to talk to? Its like a ghost! Never again! I hope the business bureau can do something about it! "

The absolute f*&king worst

"DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM SPORTING LIFE. Seriously. I placed three online orders. The first order they straight up never sent and are refusing to respond to my emails - luckily I paid via PayPal so I have initated a PayPal dispute to get a refund. The second one went MIA after getting picked up by Canada Post - despite me contacting Canada Post to do a search and Canada Post confirming that the package is lost, I'm still fighting with customer service to get them to initiate the claim process. The third one was kinda okay except one of the items was a pair of running socks that were delivered f*&king filty dirty in a torn package."

"I ordered some stuff online 11 days ago and it still has not shipped. I've called and called and emailed and emailed but no one will respond. This store is a huge scam. Do not order online unless you want to see your money disappear. "

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE - WORST STORE EVER

"I ordered online two weeks ago and received an email confirmation. The money was taken out next day, but a week had passed and I never received any updates as to when it would ship. So i gave them a call. Waited on hold for 40 min and no one picked up. I called again next day and no one picked up again. So then I sent an email asking for an update. Next day I received an automated email saying they would reply to me shortly and gave me a ticket number. 3 days had passed since the email and still nothing. No customer service representative got back to me and I still had not received an update as to when my order would ship. So I called them again and had to wait on hold for 30 min. I got tired from being on hold for so long every time I called them so thought I'd email them again. Nothing again.

It's unacceptable that in 2020, a company as big as Sporting Life, to have such horrible customer service or take the money and not ship the items 2+ weeks later without any explanation.

Its been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything from them. They do not reply to your emails or pick up the phone. I am writing this review as I continue to hold for the past 25 min. After seeing all the other reviews here, it all makes sense. Do not buy from them online as if you have any issues, you're on your own.

Awful Service

"Do it i repeat do not order from sporting life i’ve now ordered 5 different hoodies from there because they can’t get my order right they act like it’s all resolved over the phone and get us to buy another one and still find a way to mess it up stay away from sporting life there are much better places to order from!!!"

Horrible service

"sporting life canada on line service is the worst in Toronto!
1. Customer service never reply any email. For the phone call, waiting hour is too long, basically 20 to 60 min. Customer service representative attitude is poor.
1. 2 out of 3 orders, items have defects.
2. Within 14 days, they refused price adjustments. They claimed the reason is that flash sale is excluded from price adjustment.

Will never buy anything from this company.

STAY AWAY FROM ONLINE

"They will take your money and never deliver the product. They will say it's out of stock, returned back to sender, or it will never come. Then goodluck trying to reach customer service you'll be lucky to get through to them. Then in the chance you do get through to them and get a refund, the refund will take forever to process. Stay away."

"I didn't get what I ordered and its been over 15 days with no correspondence other than my credit card being charged... and when I call, no one picks up or call drops after automated message. For higher end sporting goods retail, this is not acceptable in 2020. "

FALSE ADVERTISING

"Ordered some skis that were in stock on line and the next day received an email telling me that they are sold out! Phoned customer service and she says they just sold there last pair this am... when I had orders a few days ago and she’d remove the item from the web..
Here we are 2 wks. Later and the skis are still being advertised...steal of a deal I ordered them again thinking what the heck.. recieved the same email out of stock!!!sent a letter to customer service....with of course no reply from them..I cannot believe the ad is still there.
This happened to me 2 yrs. ago., same thing and when u contact customer service they simply don’t care...
TERRIBLE WEBSITE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE is a joke!!!

Terrible experience

"First time buying online from them. shipment does not arrive, when i ask for refund, they said you can return and get a refund.... hows that for logic. Terrible customer services responses via email, like they dont know how to read or understand simple sentences. cust care phone rings and rings and rings, no answer during weekday work hours (as specified on their website).. how are they doing business online? baffling"

I wanted vent about this horrible experience but it looks like I'm not alone

"The products are fine, they carry the brands that I would buy regardless and sometimes they offer discounts not found in any other retail location. But here's the thing, I am so **** off I will overpay to not have to purchase from Sportinglife ever again. The manager was definitely, exceptionally rude to the point where I had to hold back walking around the sales counter, grabbing him by the neck and throwing him across the store. I have never felt so angry at a retail environment in my life. i don't even feel like getting into details, it just makes me so angry, so I'll just say this. Be warned, they don't carry anything other retailers don't carry, and let them know that it's not ok to run a customer facing business this way. "

Worst Attitude and customer service ever specially from manager

"When I first entered the store, the person I meet, was the manager himself no greetings, very haughty attitude, really discouraging.
I taught to myself waouh, which type of employee is that, he must be having a very bad day, he does not have any customer services skills.
The attitude only make you wants to go out of the store immediately, but it was my second time there and the first time I did not had that feeling, I did not see him the first time I was there, I could not imagine it was the store manager him self.
I went to the section I wanted because the week before I had purchased a Columbia sweater, I just checked the size but not the zipper, when I arrived home I cut the tags and everything, then I realize that the zipper was not working properly and the sweater was damaged on the inside, came to the store want to exchange it, the store manager refuse saying that the sweater was already used, I explained everything he just said he won’t take it back

I told him what will I do with something I can’t use he told me to give it for donation if I want and just left. all of that with such an attitude you can not imagine, the store sell good thing but the minute I find a store with the same articles I will never set a food there again. Before you buy something from that store make sure you check it carefully.
