"I have been a loyal repeat customer of Small Dog for over 4 years. I have spent several thousands of dollars with them in the past.
I referred a friend to them because of my previous good experiences. He is a busy man and doesn't have time to wait on an order, so he paid extra so the iBook and othher equipment he ordered would arrive by Friday. Saturday came and went without his delivery.
He contacted them today to find out his order was never processed, even though they told him on Friday that it had been sent.
No apologies for lying to him.

He lives about 1.5 hours from the Apple Retail Store in Plano, TX... and he could have bought it there and walked out with it, but on my recommendation, he ordered from Small Dog.
He lives out in the country, so it's not like a neighbor can even sign for his package. He has to take a day off work to sit and wait for its arrival.
He asked for some sort of compensation such as some extra memory or an 80gig drive (which probabl costs Small Dog around $25) because he was losing about $150 sitting at home waiting on the package that should have been sent on Thursday instead of being at work earning a living.
When he asked for some sort of compensation, he was basically told, "tough luck, buddy."
I will NEVER do business with Small Dog again and I will be sure to tell all of my Mac friends to use a different vendor from now on.
Not only have I personally spent about $7,000 +/- with them, I have sent about $100,000 of business their way with not so much as a thank you.
This is not the way you run a business when you claim on your web site and in your welcome letter that customer service is of utmost importance.
The order was not just to buy the iBook, it was an order to receive it by a certain day. Mistakes happen, but when you blow it, you own up to it and make whatever reasonable consessions are necessary to make the customer happy.
Small Dog is obviously more concerned with making a sale than with retaining customers.
Small Dog has seen their last penny from me and my friends. I work for the Technology Services department in local government and I will be notifying the purchasing department that no more orders are to be considered from this vendor."
