"These guys are awesome! If you "simply" want to find the best NAS, then this is the place -- they will not let you down. To top it off, they have the best prices anywhere. They gave me the option to upgrade to the QNAP TS-659 Pro II model because the TS-559 Pro II was not available until the next week. The upgrade was an additional cost, but the overall price was $79 less than the regular price for that model. They already had the best prices and I got an additional discount on top of that (furthermore, shipping was free and fast; came in 3 days!).

The NAS was packaged very well

"Last January I started to shop around for a NAS. The guys at SimplyNAS (both in their corporate office and the local one) were very knowledgeable and friendly. My new Synology DS1511+ was up to date right out of the box (I purchased the setup and testing). I'll definitely buy from them again if I need another NAS!

Can't comment on shipping as I picked it up from them.

"I purchased a QNAP TS-809-RB 12TB unit from SimplyNAS on 4/14/2011. I was in need of a highly reliable unit that would be used in a hospital. I also needed a very quick turnaround. SimplyNAS had a number of units available for configuration and quick shipment. Abbas provided me with invaluable advice during the selection process and then went the extra mile to see that device was tested and configured so that we could have staff just put it into the rack and flip the power switch. The equipment arrived as scheduled and we were able to start using the NAS immediately. This was truly a life saver. SimplyNAS provided me with professional and knowledgeable service that was outstanding. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who is purchasing a NAS."

"I purchased a Synology DiskStation 1511+ with a set of Seagate enterprise hard drives, which ended up costing a little north of $2,000. When I received the system, some of the drive trays had gotten unlocked and/or had fallen out, and that tends to result in excess vibration in shipping, which is bad for hard drives. I contacted SimplyNAS about the issue, and was brushed off, being told that any issues in the future would be covered by the manufacturer warranty. This completely ignores the issue that excess vibration in shipping leads to earlier hard drive failures, which leads to major vulnerabilities to data loss.

So, the hardware's fine. Their shipping, not so much. Their customer service, pretty bad if they don't care about customer data loss.

"The phone was answered quickly. I was handed to a tech that answered all my questions (correctly). The sales process was really easy (sales & tech help me to select the correct items for my need). After I ordered the product I received updates as the QNAP was setup, tested, and shipped.

I took the QNAP out of the box and it was ready to go! I made setting specific to my LAN and put it in production. The TS-459 PRO+ is a great NAS. I use eSATA drives to backup my data with the built in backup option via eSATA. eSATA is fast!

Both the product and SimplyNAS are great. SimplyNAS was excellent to work with and will work with them again on my next NAS.

"Called up to get some information before placing the order (QNAP TS-559 Pro+ no drives) device. Woman on the phone was VERY helpful, easy to understand, and more than happy to answer my questions. I placed the order over the phone, confirming it via email (as she requested), on the same call. Price was lower than any other (reputable) reseller I could locate (I don't do ebay)... The fact that they are based in the US, in South Carolina in fact, made a huge difference to me. Plus, hearing the person on the other end of the line speak English like she was born in THIS country made the experience even better.

Will look to SimplyNAS for my next SAN/NAS chassis/device when it comes time... Cannot recommend them enough for others. In fact, I've recommended someone else to use them too, after I placed my order...

Oh, and the free FedEx shipping (in the US) is a great touch... I expect to see my device either Tuesday or Wednesday. It's all up to FedEx now, it's at the Boston hub (been there since early this morning) so I could see it tomorrow/Tuesday IF FedEx decides they want to deliver it...

"I am a small business owner in the engineering services industry so backups are important. So is customer service because when there is a problem with my NAS device, I need the ability to resolve the issue quickly and move on. This usually means talking to a customer service person in the USA who speaks English. SimplyNAS has this while many others do not. They are also very knowledgeable in NAS products. The price was competitive as well. The choice was easy. I would highly recommend them.

"Very pleased with the quickness in which the order was processed, tested, and shipped out to me. This company really does excel in customer service and it has been a pleasure buying from them. Will do business with them in the future and highly recommend them to any buyer. Unit arrived double boxed and packed very well and works just as well as they said it would.
