The prices appear competetive, and the NASBIT 24-hour burn-in testing helped to sway me away from building a system myself. The shipping was fast, with plain email communications for every change in my order from being received, parts being picked, burn-in testing and shipping. Although I probably won't be needing any additional storage for a while, I know where I'll be going next time."

What a wonderful experience dealing with this company! I have been shopping online for a very long time (since before the web in the early '90s). I tell ya, SimplyNAS has been one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. This is no small feat in my books. They were unobtrusive in managing the order process, their prices are the best in the business, and they fully tested my QNAP out before they *promptly* shipped it out per their excellent methodology. "I had done the math and research on the equipment I was going to buy. Synology DS1812+ with 8-2TB Hitachi 7K3000 drives. I could have purchased these items separately for about $160 LESS than buying them through SimplyNAS.
But then I looked at what SimplyNAS provided for the "premium". They provide a service called NASBIT. This is basically burn-in-testing. If you've ever bought multiple drives at the same time you'll know that probably at least one will have some type of issue.
Well, I decided not to "save the money" and decided to go with SimplyNAS and their NASBIT service. I remembered how difficult it was dealing with Seagate or any of the vendors really with respect to getting a dead drive replaced. (run this special tool....give us a unique code....run the tool from another machine....BLAH!)
Boy was I surprised at the level of communication at every step of the ordering process. I must have received 8 or 10 emails with the status of my ordered equipment. Also, when the equipment arrived, everything was functioning as expected and I had NO bad hard drives. The equipment has been running for about 3 weeks now with no issues.
I HIGHLY recommend SimplyNAS and will buy from them again the next time I need good pricing with quality and communication behind it. Thank you SimplyNAS!"
