"Product was as described. Shipping very slow and customer service unpleasant. Was told 3 consecutive days in a row that the product went out. They offered extra battery as compensation. I have not gotten it so far.
Therefore, I left neg. feedback on ebay, facts got changed in their reply and nasty replies followed.

"I will never do business with these people again.

I ordered a Nikon D300 via their ebay store on 5/14 and it was supposed to ship within 3 days. On 5/20 it hadn't shipped; called them; they said they had gotten a "bad batch" and were waiting for replacements, and that it would ship on 5/20. It actually shipped 5/21 and arrived on 5/23.
They advertised that it came with Nikon Capture NX (a $150 value), but when it arrived there was only the trial version, which I could have downloaded free. I called them 5/28 and they said they would ship out the Capture NX in a couple of days. I called 6/4 and they said it would ship out the end of next week (6/13). Frustrated, I entered my feedback on ebay (negative), and within 10 minutes I received a call from them (Simon). He was very hostile and told me that I would not get the Capture NX because Nikon no longer supplied it with the package. I told him his ad didn't indicate they shipped "what Nikon included", but specifically stated that Nikon Capture NX would be included. I finally hung up on him because I could this conversation was going nowhere. He proceded to call me back about 6 times over the next few minutes -- on his last call, I just took the phone off the hook and let him talk to the "air" -- came back later and hung up.
My point: they advertise one thing, deliver another. Between ship dates and what they were shipping, they told more lies than truths.
I will never do business with these people again. You make your own decision.

"I purchased a Nikon D40X with a kit lense plus an aditional zoom lense. They two main lenses are Nikon as is the camera - Everything else in the kit was cheap. The camera and lenses were "grey market" and as such are not covered under any NikonUSA warranty - The fact that they were grey market was not made know at any time durng the sales process nor mention on the website. When I called about it, I was eventually handed-off to a rue, gruff, @%#&%$ of a character. I did get a 3rd party warranty, but it's not Nikon. I will have to go to a nikon site other than NikonUSA for any downloads or updates. I would never buy from this store again... no matter what the price."

"Buyers beware when purchasing cameras or other electronics online. We purchased a camera from ShopSunshine.com in November. (We’ve since found out they also go by two other names Digital Shopping Network and Cyber Discount Warehouse). When we received the camera we tried to register it with NIKON and were told it was a gray market camera. Sunshine operates out of New York and that state has very specific laws regulating gray market items. By law, the seller is required to disclose the fact that it is selling a gray market item---THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE THE FACT THAT THIS CAMERA WAS GRAY MARKET ANYWHERE IN THEIR AD WE HAVE THE PRINTED AD THAT WE PURCHASED FROM AS PROOF, so basically they sold us an illegal camera. Before we purchased through this company we checked their feedback and it was primarily good. I wonder if most people don’t register their items with the manufacturer and don’t realize they have a gray market item. Because this camera is gray market, the manufacturer’s warranty does not apply. NIKON will NEVER repair it, even if we pay them, we cannot download or use NIKON’s “picture perfect” imaging software or receive any firmware updates for this camera. We were also given a photocopied owner’s manual that is hard to read. We reported the company to EBAY right away and were told to try to resolve the issue directly with the seller. WE FIRST CONTACTED SUNSHINE 10 DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THE CAMERA AND IT HAS NOW BEEN SIX MONTHS and they are still offering us other incentives to keep the camera instead of giving us a legitimate NIKON camera which we were led to believe we were purchasing. Luckily, we purchased the camera with a credit card and the charges were immediately taken off our account until the dispute is settled. WE HAVE 34 PAGES OF DOCUMENTATION THAT WAS TURNED OVER TO OUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY AGREED THE SELLER WAS FRAUDULENT AND THAT IS WHY THE CHARGES WERE TAKEN OFF OUR CARD IN FEBRUARY AND STILL REMAIN OFF BECAUSE THE SELLER STILL HASN'T EXCHANGED THE CAMERA YET. They actually sent UPS to get the camera without telling us that they were doing so, and no one was home to give it to them so they now say that we refused to return it. We were given the option to leave it at the garage door if we weren't going to be home and they would try to pick it up again. We opted not to do that as it was a nearly $700 camera! When we e-mailed them after that asking them to let us know when they would send UPS to get the camera so someone could be home were told by Esther that if we sent the camera back, we would not get an exchange and would only get as much money as they deemed the camera was worth after 6 months. Again, it's their fault the camera is 6 months older, if they would have exchanged it way back in December when we asked them to, it wouldn't be six months old. As I said, we have the documentation backing us up that this was NEVER DISCLOSED AS AN "INTERNATIONAL MODEL" CAMERA AND THAT WE CONACTED THEM 10 DAYS AFTER WE RECEIVED THE CAMERA TO EXCHANGE IT. That is another valuable lesson; always make major purchases with a credit card as they will fight for you. I think you only have 60 days to file a complaint with EBAY, I guess that ship has sailed. We got burned for being nice and trying to give the seller an opportunity to resolve this matter. We will be filing a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov and spreading the word via chat rooms and forums trying to keep others from going through what we have been through. Also be aware that sometimes a “U.S. warranty” is offered but it is through a third party repair center-----not the manufacturer. You would be sending your item to a company of the seller’s choice for repairs which makes it much harder to determine their reliability/expertise etc. I'm sure the seller is going to reply that they have agreed to exchange the camera for us......blah blah blah, it looks like they have a generic response for this problem, but the fact of the matter is they won't commit to making an exchange. They keep offering us incentives to keep the camera and offering to pay us for positive feedback by giving us "rebates"-----is that even legal?"

"My husband purchased a camera for me as a surprise gift for my birthday on April 19th. He read it was going to be shipped overnight by ebay. After calling to confirm the order--wierd--he was told we would be receive it in three days. Then an email was sent stating it would arrive in 10 days. He did receive an accurate shipping date from UPS and we received the camera on April 30th. Not bad, but a little stressful. When first opening the box I was very pleased with the camera, additional lens and soft carry bag. I haven't been able to use the hard case yet to see how durable it actually is. Many of the extras are very cheap and I won't use them--the Slave Flash doesn't look like the same one as in the picture according to my husband. So, I put the camera together and....it didn't work. I went through the troubleshooting section of the book and located the 'card error' information. Instructions stated to format the flash card to the camera. Did that. No good. Switched to the other 4gb card--was supposed to have received one 8gb card, but received two 4gb cards instead-that one didn't work either. Called the number on the invoice and they are closed. Drove to the local camera shop and bought a flash card--and, the camera works! I have two 4gb cards that aren't worth a penny. The camera store had never seen this brand of flash card before. Hmmmmmmm.... At any rate, I noticed my husband purchased an extended warranty. It already comes with a 1 year warranty--we don't need it--so, we are going to begin the process of requesting a refund for the $215.00. Between the stress created around the shipping, flash cards not working with the camera, the unneccessary extended warranty, and the less-than-adequate extras I do feel a little duped. We'll see what happens. Maybe they will make it right amd exchange the flash card(s) for the 8gb that's on the invoice and promptly refund the warranty charge of $215. That would be a nice ending!"

"Buyers should be VERY cautious. I just wanted to write a review for future buyers to let them know what they are getting themselves into. If you don't have time to read the whole review, here's the jist of it. Bought a Nikon D40 from them on Ebay with all these "accessories." But most of the accessories were trash and some were not as they were described on ebay. They overcharge so BEWARE!

Here's the whole story. I was really tempted to buy a dSLR after I got back from China and realized the sub-par quality of all of my pictures from my Sony point and shoot. I've been using Ebay for over 6 years and has had a fairly good experience with the transactions that I've made through it. I thought I would search for a Nikon D40 and found a lot of "bundles" or packages that include accessories along with the D40 at a reasonable price (around $500) at the time. I bought my D40 through Sunshine (or DSH as they were called at the time). I was ready to pay but they required me to call to confirm the order which was a bit fishy. When I called them, they were really pushy for me to buy a 3 year warranty and an extra battery for about $200 ($100 a piece) on top of my order on ebay. This is how they were able to do business outside of what they advertise on Ebay. BEWARE. At the time, I was foolish enough to agree and thought I would protect my investment. When I received the item, I didn't get any extended warranty other than the manufacture warranty that came with the camera. I also got the extra battery that they promised.

At the time, I was really happy with my purchase until some of their accessories, such as the camera case that I ordered as a part of the "bundle," completely broke on me (the clips came off). I decided to buy a new camera bag from ebay (from Cameta camera) to replace the bag that broke. Afterwards, I started investigating the products that I had. I was indignant to discover that the extra battery I bought from them for $100 could be purchased for about $15 anywhere else! I got ripped off.

The only good accessories that came with my D40:
- 2gb SD card
- 3 52mm filters
- SD card reader
- table tripod that is working thus far

Mediocre accessories
- the tripod became flimsy after a few outings but still usable
- the lens cleaner, solution and Q-tips look like they put together themselves and shipped it to me
- Wide angle lens which isn't all that great

Bad accessories and complaints:
- camera case that broke after about a month of use. Also, it was not the same camera case that was advertised on the auction
- no 3 year warranty
- overcharged for a battery (didn't know it at the time)

Long story short, I'm very disappointed by the accessories that came with the camera. Before I forget to mention, they are very pushy about you leaving positive feedback on ebay which is why they have a misleadingly high feedback rating. I also got ripped off for about $200 for items/warranty that I didn't receive/could have gotten cheaper. On a positive note, the camera works great and I'm in love with my D40. So all in all, I wasn't completely ripped off since the camera in perfect working condition.

Moral of the story: It's best to do research on these merchants (especially those sellers that have online stores on ebay) before you make a purchase. Those minutes you invest could save you hundreds to thousand of dollars. It's better to pay a little extra for a camera from a more reputable seller (a couple being B&H photo, beach camera). Hope these words of wisdom can help someone else from being ripped off.
