Radio Died after Seicane would not honor warranty

"3 months before my 1 year warranty expired, I started to experiance a dramatic slow down with my unit. I did a factory reset and then noticed that i only had 8 gb of system space (used to be 16ish) I downloaded a partition app to investigate and discovered that half my memory on my unit had been partitioned away. As I investigated further, I found that the memory controller disabled about half of the space on the memory chip (due to being corrupted). I had never used more than 9gb of space on the unit so it surprised me that half of the space would just go bad. I contacted them and they where no help, after I sent them the 15th email, I gave up. They would constantly say that I had too many apps installed or that I downloaded too many things. This was a fresh factory reset device with only their apps installed and it showed that I had 3.5gb of free space. The day that I am writing this, my memory finally completely died. It started booting and then crashed. I am now 3 months outside the warranty. I have dealt with shady companies in the past, this is the worst...."

Highly Recommended

"This screen protector is really high quality. It arrives very nice packaged with all the necessary tools (wipes, microfiber cloth, sticky tabs and suction cup to do a professional installation. The fit was excellent for my car.
After cleaning the screen of the car entertainment center I put the suction cup onto the front center of the screen protector, peeled the protection cover from the backside off and put it onto the screen of the entertainment center and used the fiber cloth to push it down from the center to the outside to avoid having air bubbles trapped. Worked perfect.
The touchscreen retained the touch sensitivity as before, but the screen looks much sharper and the colors more vibrant for some reason. Finger smudges are much easier to remove from the screen protector than the screen from the car.
Highly recommended!

"I am really happy with this device. Easy DIY install, just make sure you find a howto YouTube video for your vehicle and you have the needed hardware (wiring harness and dash kit for your vehicle, wire butts and end caps, wire cutter/crimper, screw drivers). Wiring the harness bridge together is took about 15-30 minutes. The unit install was also about 15 minutes.
Works well, but starts up very slowly and seems to hang with some apps. Over all it does a good job for the price. Would have been more useful if it had more ram and more internal storage space. I have had no luck with the micro sd card slots on this head unit.

worst online buy ever!

"Nice product and made specially for my car. Original device was not available so I got an upgrade which did not work. Shipping took ages. Poor customer service and no advise. Aftersales department never answered my questions. Just vague, short and useless instructions. Very time intensive. No advise. Device never worked plug `n play despite of several attempts. Cost me extra money for expert and return shipping. The company apparently only sells but does not develop themselves, therefore no knowledge to assist with installment. Paid with paypal so I received money back after 2 months."

"I successfully installed my new head unit. I am happy with it and it sound great. I decided to write you and thank you for the radio it is better than I expected the sound quality is first-rate. I'm very happy I bought your product you should be very proud. I'm going to send you some pictures of it installed in the car it's a 05 Jaguar XJ8 I know the radio is for a Mercedes-Benz but the dimensions fit my car very well I think you should manufacturer radios for the Jaguar S-Type X-type and XJ8 it's not very far from the Mercedes that you sent me I'm sure other people would love to have that radio in your car it's very clean very nice."

Horrible customer service, do not buy!

"Took a lot longer than promised to receive stereo. It was a defective unit, would not boot up. Seicane said it probably needed software update and they would need it returned to do that, but they wanted to refund $100 of the total so I could take it to local electronics store to have it fixed. Then they wanted me to return to China ($80 for shipping), all the while telling me that option would take a very long time.
It took weeks just to communicate this as they never answer the question in one email.
Save yourself frustration. Do not buy from this company. I'm still fighting with them.

Customer service is a bad joke

"I purchased a radio for a 03 Honda Accord in which the ac controls did not work. It then took a month of daily back and forth email with Seicane for them to send me a new ac board. The new ac board took another month to arrive to only not work as well. Then back and forth on one a day emails with Seicane to only get to a point where want me to pay for sending the broken radio back to them. Absurd!"

DONT BUY!!!!

"I bought a head unit for Seicane and as soon I installed it, I had a lot of the problems, the radio would not keep time or presets. It would turn off for no reason, the bluetooth would not work and many other problems. So, I figured I may have gotten a bad unit. I thought I would just return it for another unit and that would be the end of it. THAT WAS 4 MONTHS AGO!!!!! The company will NOT let you return the unit to a address in the USA even though on the their website it clearly states that you can return the units to China, USA or European warehouses. The only address they will give you is the one to China which will cost you over $200 to ship it there. Also, like others who have paid to have it shipped to china found out, the company will not go a get the unit from China customs. Why would pay the duty to pick up broken units. So, your tracking number never states that the unit made it back to the seller. So, Paypal and/or your credit card company will keep telling you that you can't have a refund till the seller gets the item back, which will never happen and your claim or back charge will time out. Leaving you with a trash unit and no other options! I think this company has got this down to a science and using loopholes in Paypal and Credit card companies policies to screw people out of there money. I have been fighting for months to try to get my money back and running out of options. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID!!!! LOOK ELSE WHERE!!!!"

DO NOT BUY

"The product arrived faulty the bluetooth,obd sensor and maps didnt work so i spent 2 months emailing them back and forth with them offreing no real fix and not responding to questions about their return policy so i shipped it back to the address they sent it from only then did they say that was not their address started a dispute with pay pal who eventually denied my claim even though i had proof of delievery proof that it went back to the address it ship from all because the shipper denied that was his address. The product is garbage and their customer service is worse. This company is a scam"

Product Unserviceable Do Not Buy

"The digital and FM radios do not work.

I sent emails for three weeks without response. I eventually called and talked to someone who has a limited understanding of English. I was asked to communicate by email as they could not understand and was given an email address that is not on the website.

That was over two weeks ago. I have had nonsense one sentence replies that are becoming increasingly frustrating.

When I call now the phone is hung up when answered.

A resolution is not insight and I have spent AU$600.

Buy elsewhere.

I’d give one star if I could...

"So if you’re reading this you are completely aware that when you submit the order, they ask for a picture of the cars radio/dash to verify they supply the right head unit. I did this and they took my money, seven weeks later I finally get what I would call a tape ball in the shape of a box? The excitement of finally getting the radio was short lived as my my us domestic car doesn’t have the same layout as the part they provided? The a/c and defrost switches are way different. I send them an email letting them know and we go thru weeks of emails and this includes the 12hr lag as their time is off of mine. Most of the tries state something along the lines of ‘this will fit’ so I write up another reply and pictures for proof. Again, this will work? This goes on for weeks. I end up finding the switches i need and redo the wiring so it should all work. Then the next issue was the connectors the supplied didn’t match the factory’s wiring of my car? Same deal, send emails and responses are always the same and end with ‘What is your good idea?’ which got really tiring very quickly. So bought the proper connector and got the proper connectors soldered in. This whole process has now taken months. So get everything in order then find out the dash kit didn’t fit my car and would never work unless highly modified. Again, sending detailed emails and pics. I stated I wanted my money back. They stated I had to mail my head unit back and they would consider refund. It’s $123 to mail this box back to Beijing and there are stringent rules Seicane lists I have to follow. My response was, I’m not paying a dime to send this head unit back when it their fault it never worked. Send me a prepaid tag and Inwould be happy to box it back up and send their way. Their response, ‘This head unit will work’ and this was the final straw so filed a complaint with PayPal and 10 days in Seicane finally agrees to pay me some of my money back. I wait a day. Send another message asking for update. They rely they will only pay me if I close the PayPal claim. I cave... and they have completely ignored me since. PayPal won’t help me because the claim is closed. So at this time Inconsider them the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer service. Date of purchase, September 13, 2018, date of PayPal claim January 9th, 2019. That’s 118 days of dealing with these people. "

Poor quality and customer service is none existant

"The product isn’t a good build. It looks cheap and the functionality is slow. They were very quick to up sell all the extra components but they cant be used eg. I cant use DAB with the navigation because the system doesn’t have enough cpu to process.

The wifi dongle didn’t work. Never has.

None of the wiring made sense and took me days of researching forums online to get the correct wiring. Support could not help.

Had problems 3 months later with the unit (Bluetooth really bad) and customer service just doesn’t reply.

Save your money and buy somewhere else is my advice!

Perfect

"I have had this in my car for almost a month now and it works flawlessly. All functions work as stated in the description. The unit comes on before my radar detector finishes it's initial testing, which is around 2 seconds. It almost seems instant, I was very impressed. I bought the suggested backup camera that installs around the license plate and it works great as well. So far everything works great. The only thing that I have noticed is when nothing is playing there are some static sounds coming through the speakers. It's very faint so you don't hear it unless the car is off but that is the only thing I have noticed. I have had 2 instances where the backup camera has gone out but it worked the next time like it was supposed to."
