"I bought a 42" Philips LCD TV from Secondact and I had to write a review because they were one of the best companies I have ever done business with. From placing the order, the quick communication to arriving at their warehouse to pick up my merchandise and meeting the friendly employees, it was a 100% positive experience. Will do business again and again."

"After placing my order and receiving an email saying its shipped, gets a phone call saying free shipping and coupon can't be used at the same time. So either pay $250 for shipping or $60 additional for using the coupon. Bait and Switch scenario to me so I canceled my order. No where on the website saying coupon can't be used with free shipping and their system accepted it."

"I purchased a Sharp tv. Received the TV and the sound did not work. SecondAct gave me a number to give to Sharp to have a tech come out. It took them 3 visits over the course of a month to get the sound fixed. Shortly after this the TV would not turn on anymore. By now the warranty was up and I took it in to have it fixed. The problem is the same circuit board that was just replaced but it is not covered by any type of warranty and they wanted $200 to have it fixed. The TV has been in the shop for over 2 months now and I still don't have it back. I will never buy a TV through SecondAct again and have been spreading the word on the quality of product that I received."

"Product (a Pioneer Plasma TV) was delivered as scheduled, new in box, as advertised, for hundreds less than any other online retailer I could find. Although difficult to reach directly by phone, sales and support staff responded to e-mails and voice messages very quickly, and were efficient and polite. They have an interesting selection of audio/video hardware and daily specials worth checking back for. I will very likely order from them again."

"Unless Secondact right my shipping wrong,delivering my order placed from mississippi to Tennessee and calling it Local area pick up! Then It was not good doing business with you.I contacted secondact to complain and inform of their support web link that prevented a display of their location list.But like a greedy fox I did not matter. "

"Be very careful with those guys, i bought a refurbished marantz vp12s4 projector from them. Before placing the order, i specifically asked what is the lamp hours on those projectors and was assured it has a max of 20% life used, when i received my projector the lamp was over 45% used and already very dim.

So i asked them for a lamp replacement(from the manufacturer), after about 3 weeks of run around the cs finally told me the replacement lamp was shipped and on the way. IT WAS A COMPLETE LIE, i called marantz the nice lady there searched through all the lamp orders and there was no shipment at all. Then every time i tried to followup with them afterwards it's always the same story, the lamp is on the way, be patient etc..after 4 weeks of trying i just give up. Never received the replacement.

If they just told me the truth at the beginning i would have kept the projector anyway, instead they decide to lie and run me around for 6 weeks, wasting my time.

I really regretted recommending this vendor to the people on the projector forum.

"Second Act had the Sharp Aquos 46 inch tv at its Edina MN store in just one day. When I went to pick it up, the people there were great and I was refunded my shipping fee immediately. I will definitely recommend Second Act to my friends, Thanks for the great service.

"After seeing a great price for a Sharp LCD TV at SecondAct. com I ordered it and waited to see if I would get the 'you need to call and confirm with us so we can try to sell u more things' email- none came! That was the 2nd good thing (after the price).

I was kept in contact with SecondAct and the TV was shipped out in a few days. Unfortunately when it was delivered it looked fine upon physical inspection but when I plugged it in I found that it had been severely damaged (the image was only on 1/2 the screen).

I was told by Sharp that the damage was not included in the warranty and that I would have to contact SecondAct. 'Oh no' I thought- get ready for a fight. Well I was wrong. When I contacted SecondAct and told them what happened they asked to see my email from Sharp and pictures of what the screen looked like when it was on.

The day after I sent them the information they told me that a 2nd TV would be sent out within 1 day and the old one picked up. No questions, no hassle. The 2nd one arrived and I couldnt be happier. I will continue to bring them my business.

Unfortunately, most of the time u cant tell if a company is good or bad with customer service, until u need them. SecondAct came thru with flying colors. Given the horror stories you always hear about shopping on the internet I
STRONGLY recommend them.

"I bought a factory reconditioned Esceint Fireball for very much less than the retail price

The process was painless and the item arrived wothout problem.

About a month later I did have a problem with the item, however the OEM dealt with this and I was fixed and up and running again in very little time.

I did not attempt to resolve the issue through Second Act since they are very clear in that they do not waranty the items through Second Act but rely on the manufacturer waranty.

I think many of the negative comments here should be addressed to the OEM and not Second Act since the policy is clear when buying the item. These are closed box items.

" I am very satisfied with my purchase from Second Act. Got a refurb.ed Samsung HLT 5689S (56 inch-LED-DLP) for $1099.00. (The 89 Seris is the top of the line model with all kinds of extra Bells N Whistles!)With ship cost it still was less expensive than other Dealers!
The set arrived and was delivered in a timely manner. The driver gave me a hand to examine, move my old set, unbox, set it up and plug it in! A big thmbs up for transportation.
I researched theses set extensivly. The set is fantastic! It's hard to stop watching it. I've not had any problems what so ever! Best deal for the Buck.
I waited almost a month to write this review.
Presentily the TV is still working fine. No problems. It came with a manufacture's 90 day in home warranty which is important for being able to purchase an after market extended war...which I did.
I would purchase from Second Act again!!!
I am satisfied with Da Deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

order the TV ten days before I was going to be there told it would be there it was not so they would ship one to me free of charge sounded good to me showed broken from a lack of packing TV was

"I purchased a Toshiba 56' DLP from Second Act. The T.V. went out in September and has yet to be fixed. The warranty is now out and i have been without a T.V. that i paid $1049.99 for, for 4 months. I keep getting the runaround from Toshiba and from the repair shop. I will never again buy a refurshibed product, nor a product from Second Act. This was very disheartening considering all the raving reviews I had read about this company. My may have been a lemon, but it sure taught me an expensive lesson. Furthermore, if I want to watch T.V. I have to do it on one that has a defected picture!!"

"I'm entirely dissatisfied with Second Act. I purchased a 42" LCD HDTV, using the "free shipping." It took two days from the time I placed my order until I received notification that my order had shipped. The notification said my order would be delivered in four business days. At six business days, and no delivery, I called the shipper and discovered I would have to wait at least two more days before I could pick-up my TV. They informed me that because Second Act had paid the shipping, any complaints would have to be addressed through Second Act. I called Second Act, and guess what, they gave me the "it's out of our control once it ships" excuse. The gentleman I spoke to was polite, but completely worthless for doing anything to resolve my complaint regarding the fact that I had paid for a product, been told it would be delivered within a certain time, and the forced to actually wait twice the promised time. I think Second Act should only provide "free shipping" if they are willing to guarantee delivery by the promised date, or refund part of the price of the item that helped make "shipping free." I wish I had my TV to review and provide feedback on how well Second Act represented their products, but I still don't have what I bought."
