Charged over $80 for $20 parking

"I am pregnant and I was invited to the Tim McGraw concert in downtown St. Louis at the Enterprise Center by a work supplier. Typically, the parking garage sells out there for Blues hockey games, and I didn't want to be walking in downtown St. Louis at night pregnant, so I pre-purchased parking through SeatGeek for over $80. When I drove downtown and arrived to the parking garage, upon entry they were charging only $20. I took a picture of the $20 parking garage sign, and send it over to SeatGeek to ask for the difference in cost ($60), but they refused. It's highly disappointing they are taking advantage of customers."

Seemingly Fraudulent Business

"Seemingly Fraudulent Business. On June 7th, right after hearing Messi was going to Miami, I bought tickets to see him on Seatgeek, to the closest team, Charlotte. The money came out of my account and the order status on my Seatgeek account page had the tickets listed as ‘waiting for confirmation’. It was like that on my account page from June 7th until today, the day of the game. Under the Seatgeek FAQs it says ‘confirmation’ will come within 24 hours of the event. Today when it still had my tickets listed as ‘waiting for confirmation’ I called Seatgeek. After waiting on hold for 30+ minutes the guy tells me those tickets were canceled on June 8th. Obviously the tickets were canceled because the ticket prices went way up later the day I purchased them. I don’t know how this isn’t against the law but what’re you going to do? That was my first and last experience with Seatgeek. "

Terrible company

"Did a return on tickets for a concert for $650.00. It was still in the time frame to do a return. I followed their instructions. They said within 24 hours you would get word. Nothing but crickets. Looking at my Seatgeek I still have the tickets. Thanks Seat Geek. I will never spend any money with your company and will give a bad review on every site. This is not how you do business. But since this is how you do business, you don't care for customers and the hard-earned money they have worked for. Stay away from this site, it is terrible."

SeatGeak does not care about its Customers

"5 months ago I purchased tickets to a baseball game that sat in confirmed. 3 months prior to the event I contacted SeatGeek and asked what the problem was? They informed me that sellers have up until 24 hours of the event to send me the tickets, and that their policy ensured the seller could not cancel the tickets. Less than 24 hours before the game I still had nothing, and called the support line. They informed me they would contact the seller and I would receive a call back in 1-2 hours. I did not. So I call back and they tell me they are escalating this to their supervisors to look into getting me replacement seats. Give them 1-2 hours and they will call me back. Nothing. The morning of the event I still did not have tickets, and am traveling into Canada to see the Blue Jays game, so I call back. They tell me again that the supervisors are looking into approving me for replacement seats, they will call me back in 1-2 hours. Nothing. Less than 1 1/2 hours before the gates open (mind you this was player ceremony and promotional event so I wanted to get in early) I call again. They say I have been approved for replacement seats, and that they will call me back in 30 minutes to an hour. Nothing. With 30 minutes left I had no choice but to purchase additional tickets. SeatGeek never once called me back after promising to do so 4 times. 2 days after the event I call and demand to speak with a supervisor. I am told by a representative to give them 2 hours and they will call me back. At this point I am sure you know what happened next, nothing. So I call back again and demand to speak with a supervisor. After 72 hours of hell while traveling in a foreign country, I am finally connected with a supervisor. They offer me the refund on my ticket I never received. I tell them at this point, that is insulting after what I have been through. After waiting 45 minutes on hold, they tell me they will offer me an additional $20 promo. I didn’t call looking for much of a compensation, but I wanted to be heard and at least receive something for the torment they put me through. And the best they could offer me was $20, a fraction of what my seats cost. Do not waste your time with SeatGeek. The company worth millions does not care about you as its customer. "

Refund scam

"Seatgeek’s refund policy should be illegal. Last October I purchased mlb playoff tickets for a game that was not played. Instead of refunding my money directly to my credit card the company gave me a year to spend the money on other tickets. After using less than half the credited amount on tickets to a game this month I realized that I only had one chance to receive the full credited amount. Since the tickets I purchased this month were far less expensive than the playoff tickets, SeatGeek effectively gets to keep more than half of what I originally paid. That’s bad enough, but I also cannot contact anyone at the company to challenge this policy. As far as I can tell they don’t have a phone number and don’t have any other customer service contact option where I can register a complaint about this policy that basically credited SeatGeek with more than $500 that should have been refunded to me."

Fraudulent and unethical

"Their website put through a purchase that was not finalized/submitted by me. They promised a refund to original form of payment and processed it as a credit for future purchase. They admitted they have it on a recorded line that they said they would provide refund to original form of payment but still refuse to correct the situation . "

Frustrating Experience with SeatGeek's Password Unlock Process

"I recently had a disappointing experience with SeatGeek's password unlock process, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts. I needed to purchase tickets for an event that was happening at that very moment, but unfortunately, I couldn't access my SeatGeek account because I had forgotten my password.

Upon realizing my predicament, I immediately reached out to SeatGeek's customer support for assistance. To my dismay, they informed me that it would take approximately two hours to unlock my password and regain access to my account. This was highly inconvenient, as the event I wanted to attend was already underway, and I needed to secure my tickets promptly.

The fact that it would take such a significant amount of time to unlock my password was frustrating and seemed excessive, especially considering the urgency of my request. I understand that security measures are necessary, but I would have expected a more efficient and expedited process, especially from a ticketing platform like SeatGeek.

The lack of immediate access to my account put me in a difficult situation, and I was unable to purchase tickets for the event in a timely manner. This not only resulted in my disappointment but also meant missing out on an experience I was eagerly looking forward to.

While SeatGeek is generally known for its wide selection of tickets and user-friendly interface, this particular incident left me with a negative impression. I believe they should consider implementing a more streamlined process for unlocking passwords or provide alternative methods for urgent situations like mine.

I hope SeatGeek takes customer feedback into consideration and finds ways to improve their password unlock process, ensuring that users can quickly regain access to their accounts in situations where time is of the essence.

Watch out for Deceptive Sales Practices

"On 3/7/22, I went on the Seat Geek website to look for a single ticket to the NCAA Championship hockey game in Tampa on 3/8/22. There were resale tickets, but of course the game was technically "sold out" since it was the Division I college hockey championship game. I purchased (I thought) a ticket at a fairly high price in the 3rd level, but it was a decent seat. While waiting for the transaction to finalize, I received a message that stated something to the effect of "We're sorry but those seats are no longer available." No biggie, but time being of essence, I immediately began searching for another seat. Found one in a couple minutes (not as good), and again entered my card information to purchase. While waiting for that transaction to finalize, I received an email stating that the transaction for the first seat was complete and my seat was confirmed! Needless to say, 1 person doesn't need 2 seats on the opposite side of the arena to the same sporting event, so I immediately initiated a chat session to end the transaction for the purchase of the second seat, which was still pending. Bottom line: after a long chat session, during which (10 minutes later) the second transaction finalized, an additional email to Seat Geek, a phone call the next day, and 2 promises by their CS reps to have a supervisor call me to resolve, I was "stuck" with the second (expensive plus exorbitant fees) ticket - even though I didn't even accept its transfer, and told them that I wasn't going to accept it. I have a feeling that they are likely doing this to multiple customers. If you think about it, if a customer gets stuck with more tickets than they need, even if they dispute the transaction (which I will do through my bank) Seat Geek still gets paid. If the customer resells the extra ticket(s) Seat Geek gets 10% of that plus the exorbitant fees. Win win - for Seat Geek. I will never use them again. They are dishonest and their CS is terrible.
Shop for your tickets through another site.

Lost tickets/no refund

"Talked to 4 “customer service representative” showed them proof of purchase and proof that the tickets were not in my account. The concert is in one day and they still can’t find a solution. Kept telling me that they will get back to me but apparently they haven’t since I have been the one contacting them. They are a complete joke. NEVER associating with them EVER again!! I wished I could give them 0 stars. "

There never were tickets and when they let me know, it was too late.

"I purchased tickets for a concert that was 2.5 hours away, through seatgeek, as a present for my daughter. When I purchased the tickets, I got the confirmation from the seller that I would receive the tickets. 24 hours prior to the concert I had not received the tickets. I contacted seatgeek's customer service and they said all they could do was contact the seller. The day of the concert I still did not have the tickets. After spending 6 hours on the phone where I was put on hold for 60 minutes and then hung up on multiple times when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was finally given an answer to the situation that there were never any tickets and they would refund me my money. Not only did it cause major anxiety and stress, I also had to inform my daughter that we would not be going to a concert for her birthday, less than 3 hours before it started. I was given a refund for the tickets and that is all. Nothing else to compensate me or my daughter for the stress and trauma they caused. Not to mention that I was never allowed to talk with a supervisor because they were in a "meeting" all day. If they had informed me prior to the day of the concert, when I called, I would have been able to purchase other tickets, but the day of, they were all sold out."

Tickets NOT Guaranteed

"Purchased 6 tickets to a Nats game three days prior to the event. The site says don't be surprised if you don't receive tickets until the day prior or even the day of the event. On the day of, still no tickets. Reached out to SeatGeek and learned the seller was now unable to fill the order. Literally learned this whole on the Metro headed to the game. While SeatGeek customer service was as helpful as they could be (refunded money AND provided a 20% supplemental compensation, the end result was traveling downtown to the game and NOT being able to actually go to the game (all other seat options were through the roof in cost). Will never again use this site…they don't actually control the tickets…simply a paid intermediary and can't guarantee delivery of what you purchase…miserable experience for our immediate family and extended family visiting from out of town."

BAD BUSINESS

"I purchased 4 tickets ($228) to Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox for my nephews first MLB experience. Took them 3 days to send email confirmation. Email said I’d be receiving another email from tickets.com with my tickets. Never got that email. Had to dig through SeatGeeks website in order to find them and upload them into my MLB app. The MLB app showed all 4 seats for 4/23/22…which was a Saturday and that’s what I purchased. The time of the event kept changing so I figured I would just arrive 2 hours early to park and get to our seats. The day of the event, I checked for the tickets to see where I’d need to park at the field. Tickets were gone and now in the “past events” folder. Seat Geek gave me tickets for 4/22/22. They sent me the totally wrong confirmation email and wrong tickets. They refuse to refund me because they are insisting I ordered the wrong tickets but I have witnesses to vouch for me that were there during the purchase and that saw the time of the event continuously changing. Stay away from SeatGeek."

Bought two tickets - event canceled - been waiting 65 days for $408

"No phone number. Simply automated email reply from Lily. "Please contact us only once per issue."
It seems unfair that they keep my $408 this long. I'm really not impressed. Not even sure what I should do next. I'm only posting here because I do not know where else to vent my frustrations.

Do Not Buy Tickets during Pandemic

"Buyer Beware! Do not buy tickets from SeatGeek during the pandemic because if you are quarantined, sick with Covid-19, or want to sell your ticket(s), they make it impossible to get your money back. SeatGeek's sell option is very time consuming because of their delays and difficulty in reaching a person to help you do so. I purchased 4 tickets, got Covid-19 symptoms and wanted to sell. They delayed responding to my attempt to sell for so long until the date of the event occurred or had past. The email to contact them is worthless! When they do reply to your email it is a survey for how well the SeatGeek person who responded to your email, who has no authority to resolve your issue, has done. Very frustrating to contact them with email. They are using scammer techniques to keep your money during the pandemic. They will not give you a coupon code for a future event for replacement if your issue is not resolved. Beware!!!!!"
