DO NOT BUY SCUFF

"I dont think I've ever written a review in my life, but after this experience I'm forced to.

I bought a custom infinity PS4 Pro and it worked great for a month and a half. The left paddle stopped working soon after. It took their customer service 2 months to get hold of me and then anoother 2 and a half weeks to fix my scuff.

If that was not enough, 3 days after receiving my "scuff" controller its currently still glitchy (sometimes the paddle works and sometimes it doesn't)
In addition to the paddle not working, a little dust particle got inside the sticks as well (I only keep it in its case and use compressed air EVERY DAY to clean the sticks.)

As it stands right now, I've paid for a scuff that broke after 2 months and after it came back from repairs, its still malfunctioning.

Bad Customer Service

"I would just like to say I am starting to get very disappointed. My controller has been nonoperational for over a month. Ive had this controller for little over a year. It was over 200 dollars which is like 4 times the price of a regular controller. That price is justified imo assuming it works well and is durable. Unfortunately, it has not been. The original micro-usb that was sent with the controller failed after like 5 months. Which is fine, I understand, cables are cables. However, this controller drift I am now experiencing is a much bigger issue. Ive had numerous controllers from both Xbox and Ps4 that haven't developed controller drift nearly as bad as this. I had one xbox controller that developed it in after 5 YEARS and it still was nowhere near as bad. You could adjust controller dead-zone and still play on it. My scuf controller is unplayable.

I understand that scuf doesn't want to put your employees at risk, but you cannot just stop all controller repairs. I spent over 200 dollars and now am stuck not able to play my favorite games because I have gotten so used to the controller and the paddles. There are definitely ways to keep the controller repairs up and running during this time. Sanitation of controllers, employees wearing masks 6 feet apart, or even letting the packages set for 3-4 days when they arrive would solve all worries about the pandemic. Its not like controller repair requires 10 people all hovering over the same controller. Scuf has responded to me multiple times in the past month giving me almost no new info. They just say Ive been added to an RMA that will notify me when they are up and running. They said this a month ago and nothing has changed. Also, the pandemic isn't going away. You cant wait until it does as that will be over a year. Develop a system to get repairs up and running while protecting your employees.

Don’t waste your money

"Bought a scuf impact a couple months ago. It worked great up until the warranty expired, shortly after I started experiencing some stick drifting. Now it’s gotten so bad to the point where I can’t even play a game. "

If this is considered "Top of the Line" gaming gear, then we're all doomed

"$275 Canadian for a hunk of plastic with HORRIBLE paddle design compared to the Microsoft Elite controller, which is also a **** product.

The paddles are made out of such thin, flimsy plastic. Even just removing them from your controller could bend/warp them in some way. This product is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced.

It feels like a Mad Catz remake.

Terrible crappy product that you pay 200 for.

"I've bought two controllers from this company. The first one broke within 6 months. Sent it in for repair. Got the controller back with a dead button. Had to send it back AGAIN for re repair got it back. It worked for 1 month then the LB trigger just falls off of it. I say F it and buy the new model that came out. Paid the extra cash for rush delivery. Just got it in the mail two days ago and the left stick is malfunctioning and drifting FRESH OUT THE BOX. I've spent two days on the phone with their repair team trying to fix it. Ultimately it's a mechanical issue and guess what..... I gotta send it in for repair. I always take great care of my controllers. I've never thrown one or slammed one in my life. I even have a little stand I keep them in when I'm not using them. But I'm so fed up with scuf gaming and their crappy products. If they didn't have the pro gaming controller market cornered I swear to God I would never give them another cent of my money and I urge anyone to use caution when buying from these people."

"I returned a controller that didn’t work out of the box and they charged me a restocking fee. Customer Service had a “too bad; not my problem” attitude. There are other controllers out there. Buy one of them. "

Great idea, Bad execution. Horrible company to work with.

"The idea/customization of the look of this product is cool, but the execution is poor. The paddles are no where near as functional as the Elite controller. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get a SCUF controller over the Elite Series 2. Especially if you buy it with a warranty. My 5 year old had a really hard time reaching the back paddles on the SCUF controller, so I had to send it back. Because they don't have a store anywhere near me to test this, prior to buying, I have to pay a restocking fee of $30. Plus I had to pay $50 in shipping to get it to me by Christmas. I also had to pay to send it back to SCUF. I will be out $90 because this controller didn't work with the size of his hands. They told me that because the controller isn't "defective", it doesn't qualify to have any of that waived. Even though, essentially, it doesn't work. I will not ever recommend this company to anyone."

Stick drift really bad after only three months

"When i walk forward and let go my character goes back. I updated and the problem still does not go away. BUYER BEWARE they only have a 14 day return and after that you have to pay to ship it to them for a repair or a chance for them to charge you more money.
I'm very skeptical but i'm sending it back and i will update if they resolve this issue.

Terrible product Scuf Vantage for PS4/PC

"The controller broke after about 6 months of semi-regular use. I sent it back and they want to charge me $70 to fix it after I've already paid $160. What a scam. Crappy product and the manufacturer doesn't stand behind their product. Do not buy."

Joypad is ok

"Needed a repair as their was a few faults with the joysticks, they told me was under warranty then tried to charge me £65 as the board needed replacing ( no fault of mine, just faulty )
They they told me my joypad was out of warranty , I did politely tell them that it was not damaged and under Sales of goods act it is still under warranty , they are sending my joypad back to me with no repairs and I will be taking matters further, I havto send my joypad to a third party for inspection to make sure the damage was not caused by myself and then send them the report with a copy of the sales of good act demanding the repairs to be fixed and a bill for the joypad to be inspected. £180 for this joypad to break in under 8 months and want to charge me £65 to repair it when a standard controller is cheaper to buy and lasts longer.
I would never recommend scuf to anyone

Poor customer support

"Frustrating experience with customer support. Even after I explained that my issue was with their malfunctioning PC driver software, they refused to waive a 15% restocking fee unless the hardware was broken; which I had told them was fine. As a software dev and multi decade PC builder, I know well written software, and their driver does not qualify,"

Faulty product mine and many others

"Controller dont even work properly many other ppl saying the same 260 dollars and dont even work properly solution send the crappy faulty controller back wait 3 weeks and I gotta pay for shipping never again will I buy a scuf product never never never what a unprofessional company with a terrible product when the astro ar Walmart is better and by far a lot cheaper and you dont have to wait for weeks to get a controller that's already broken lol yeah real professional "

Worst company ever!

"What is this company??? Sending a malfunctioning controller is one thing, that shouldn't but can happen. But the support is just the worst everrrrrr! First their website: Couldn't get a ticket for an EU purchase because they didn't program their website correctly (basically was forced to choose a US-address on the EU-support website). Second of all, I send their support three emails, desperately telling them that I need a ticket and that I cannot send it to the US because the package contains a battery. They didn't even bother to answer. Honestly, I bought one of the most expensive controllers and honestly, this should not happen, this company is simply, pure trash. All they do is sell **** products and expect the costumer to take the costs. WTF is this???"

Doesn't last

"Scuf infinity is fantastic for about a year. Now none of the paddles work and there's no warranty. If you pay more for a controller than an xbox it should probably last a forever. Also, they don't even have replacement thumbsticks in stock. That company is an absolute joke."

Bad quality/customer service

"Controller helped my gaming with the addition with paddles but it was the only controller I ever had a bumper go on.. 1 year after use so no longer in warranty.
For the price I think next time I'll stick to a store bought controller or try a different brand with paddles.
Upon arrival there were no paddles or battery cover that they clip into. Waited for them then found out the head phone jack wasnt positioned right so I couldnt use my turtle beach's. Sent it in to be fixed and I was put at the back of the line it seemed like. Didnt actually get to use my controller until 2 months after purchase.
Scuf lacks in quality/customer service and is a waste of money.....never again.
