"Run away from this outfit. Fast!
They'll ship you the wrong thing and then assess a restocking fee to return or exchange.
Customer "service" is hired to third party, off-premise. Customers canNOT contact a principal of the company.
They really, really suck.

"STAY ___AWAY FRIEND! they give you option on shipping. you get no confirmation, and the item will say in stock then after you not recieving your item, nor any update. You have to send 10 emails only to find out item is back ordered. Do yourself a favor and go somehwere else...LIKE THE STORE!"

"KEEP AWAY!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MERCHANT. My experience was exactly as other reviewers have described. I asked if the item was in stock and they said "it should ship immediately." After a week and no response I contacted them and it turns out it was not in stock and then they tried to get me to buy something else. The product was obviously never in stock and will never be in stock. When were they planning on contacting me to tell me the product was not in stock - I can only assume never. When I then told them to cancel my order and credit my account immediately (which they should not have charged without shipping the product) they would not respond. KEEP AWAY!!! KEEP AWAY!!!"

"HORRIBLE. This is the 2nd time I ordered something from SJ Discount tools. I ordered 4 of the same item for our office, total was only $50. Items showed "in stock" when I placed the order, but they could never provide tracking info. I was told "your order will ship today" about a week and a half ago. They seem to just pick a random generic reply to your email inquiry as their replies are usually 1 sentence or less. I have heard "I'm checking on this for you" and "I'll look into this for you and update the order". I told them that if the order was not shipped by last friday, that they would need to cancel it because we needed the items ordered ASAP. They assured me they would ship, but never did. I *think* I cancelled the order, but I am still waiting for confirmation. The only saving grace is the buyer protection I get from my credit card- but I am expecting to have to file a disputed charge with my CC to get this charge reversed. How the heck can a company stay in business like this!!!?? Is it really that hard to provide basic information to your customers?? "

" Phenomenally low price, quick shipping, and quick replies to email!
While I'm not impressed with the quality of Pyle amp install kits, SJ Great Deals offered them for less than half their nearest competitor ($30 total for 2 Pyle PLAM40 kits shipped).
They responded quickly when I asked, before ordering, if they were in fact in stock, and they responded quickly when I asked for shipping notification and a tracking number.
Kits arrived in about 5 days and were exactly as described. I'd purchase from them again.

"DON'T USE THEM!! I ordered an item on 12/10/07 that said was "in-stock". They took my payment from the bank a/c no problem. Received an email showing my order the next day. Never heard back from them. Checked the website on 12/18 and it shows nothing but the order. I emailed them since there is NO PHONE NUMBER and got a response back from Bill saying they were not in stock until March! I had also emailed from their website. I received a reply back from Scott saying they will check their warehouse and get back to me!! What the heck?!! I needed this for Christmas and now I found this website with most people trashing them! You can be sure my next email/phone call is to the Better Business Bureau & my bank!!"

"Ordered 2 accessories from them on 11/11/07. They immediately charged my credit card for the purchase amount. I have gone to their website to check on the status of the order but it has never been updated.

The only way to contact this company is thru email as no phone number is listed. Tried sending an email several times and it was rejected because their mailbox was full.

I have since contacted my credit company to dispute the charges.

"Update 11-13-2007 (This entire review has been revised):

I Placed an order on 10-19-07 and they shipped via UPS-Ground on the on the 23nd & 24th. The order was simple, just some Steren stuff. The total plus shipping was under $20.

When both packages arrived -

1) Items were back-ordered, I was NEVER notified. And the site indicated "in stock" for all items I ordered.

2) 2 items were incorrect.

3) I was charged for the items that were backordered.

4) There was no "expected in-stock" date provided.


I had to use email to contact someone because they do not provide a customer support phone number. Which unfortunately means that you've got to wait for a response. A suggestion for Audio-Discounters.... please provide a customer support number, and it doesn't have to be toll free.

And I'm sure that I would have had *all* of the items before 11-11-2007 as well had there been a direct method for contacting them. It was 26 days and 18 to 20 emails from order placement until I received everything I ordered.

During that time I learned that they use a 'drop shipper', I don't know if all of their stock is drop shipped. But the problems I had probably originated with the drop shipper.

Their customer service is a bit confusing, there were at least 3 people that had replied to emails. So I'm not really sure who actually handled the situation. Another suggestion.... You could continue to have multiple people respond to customers, just don't let on in the emails that different people are responding.

So it took 26 days to get all of the ordered items, which kept me from completing a project. However, I give the folks at Audio-Discounters credit for finally correcting the problems, but I'm disappointed that the whole process took so long.

In regards to their customer service, It took several (way more than necessary) emails to initially get them to figure out that I needed the CORRECT items. And it was a pain to even get them to send me a tracking number for the 2nd round of shipments. Yep, they split the "corrected" shipment into 2 packages. The first arrived 11-6-07 and the 2nd on 11-7-07. And the 2nd package contained the WRONG ITEMS... AGAIN! This time they sent me an opened 2-pack of rechargable AA batteries. Not even CLOSE to the Steren part I ordered.

I will order from them at least one more time, but not for anything that I need "right away". I hope they can get their supplier / shipping problems under control, and improve customer service communication.

"STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.

They charge my account without my knowledge and send me items that i did not order. When I email them to stop doing this, they give me a fictitious story about how my original order that was messed up by them and that they did not get my returns back in order. They conviniently do this 2 months after my original order. NOT NICE AT ALL. I am cancelling my credit card due to these schmuks. STAY AWAY - The advertised low rates are a scam to rip you off later.

"Try calling Customer Support before ordering. YOU CAN'T! No communication and non-existent Customer Service. Website indicated item was "In Stock". Policy said account would not be charged until product shipped. Account charged immediately. Policy stated, In Stock items ship in 1-2 days. 5 days later status still showed that it was at the warehouse. No way to contact S&J Great Deals. No telephone number listed on website. You must email them for the phone number. That phone number is ONLY for SALES. Two different people told me that Customer Service is handled via Email ONLY. Which is not true, because I never, ever, received a response after multiple emails. The Great Deal is only for them, Selling Products that they don't have after baiting you into ordering by listing items as "In Stock". Buyer Beware... Better yet, shop elsewhere and save yourself the aggravation. "

" First order from this company, found great service as follows: Googled item: studiotech speaker stands, SJ listed the items as in stock with nearly the best price of listings found including shipping. Not always sure about internet companies without a listed phone number for contact and perfer a 800 number - SJ does and was the best price with a listed phone!
Called and ordered the stands, order placed and told I would get a E-Mail conformation of the order. Realized I only order one 30" stand but needed two so I called back within 10 minutes and was able to add the additional stand to the order. Guess what, even to my surprise no additional shipping charge was added! Company doesn't just add shipping charges to create a better profit - They ship like we do, pass the actual shipping charge to seller by using the actual rate: 10 - 25 lbs. $ ect.
Next I get my E-Mail for the order and find that I was overcharged from the listed web prices. So I said to myself "here we go" but...Guess again, I called and was told I would have to E-Mail Customer service which I did. Within a hour I received a very simple reply: Your account was credited. No other questions just the $15 and change difference credited. Yes it was that simple. From there I received my order number - checked the site to obtain the tracking numbers - to UPS for information and there it was. Got all three stands just like you should: As promised, for price listed and in perfect condition. I can only say that you can't please all the people all the time but this company and Bill in customer service certainly did please me with his service. Also keep in mind most people don't take the time to commend a "good internet company" like this one was for me!

"3 weeks ago I placed an order with SJ Great Deals for an item that they claimed was available. One week later, after not hearing from them, I e-mailed the company requesting the status of my order. I was informed that my order was "currently on backorder." Backorder? How can a company claim that an item is available and then backorder it? I have checked their site almost everyday since I placed this order and the item has always been listed as available - so it is not as if they ran out when I place my order. It is now THREE WEEKS since I've placed this order and I still do not have a delivery date!
