"I ordered a rug and a week later, when I didn't receive word about it having been shipped yet, I emailed the company about it. I got a strange email back that basically said I'd hear from someone in the next 24 hours. It was a ridiculous, canned response I think.
So I followed that up with a call. A very nice customer service rep figured out that because I live in Alaska, my order was being held up pending permission to charge me $55 to ship. Said an email was sent the day after placing the order asking me about that. I did not receive that email, but I did receive 2 others from Ruglots so I know they weren't going to a SPAM folder.
I would have liked to know about the shipping charge when placing the order online. It definitely would have impacted how/if I would complete the order.

1. I did not receive a confirmation that my order was made with a tracking number so that I can track my order. I had to e-mail twice to find out the status of my order. Unacceptable.
2. The picture on the website is not at all the same as what I received.
