It is an original OEM version of Win XP Pro. BUT--
it may not be licensed for the country you live in.
I purchased two copies of Win XP Pro. One is licensed for distribution in "specific countries
within Middle East and Africa". One copy is licensed for distribution in "specific countries within Europe". I live in the United States. Good luck when you try installing or reinstalling this junk operating system. You'll eventually be prompted to call the 800 number to be connected with someone in a country other than the one you live in. Then go through an extended hassle trying to prove you purchased this item so you can get a code to install and use it. I tried reinstalling after it crashed too many times after it had worked ok for a few months. No hardware or software changes were made to my system. Just the Microsoft updates not including service pack 3. Was prompted to call again. Told them to forget it. Thank goodness I switched to Macs. Too bad the company I work for is stuck in the stoneage. I need to run one Windows only program to do my work.
Anyhow, if you don't know for a fact before you purchase where this copy is licensed for distribution-- DO NOT purchase from Royal Discount."

The order was shipped on the same day it was placed despite me messing up my order placement online. "Ordered E85-00913 which is an OEM 3-Pack of Microsoft Windows XP Professional. I have ordered this 3 pack from other online merchants and it always arrives boxed and sealed right from Microsoft and also includes a Windows XP OEM pre-installation kit CD.
My order invoice and email notification both show I ordered 2 each of E85-00913 and what arrived was "six" copies of Windows XP Professional loose packed in a shipping envelope. Called them and they offered the possibility of return and were very argumentative in nature, when all I wanted to know was why did I not get the boxed sets as ordered. Their web page still shows the availability of the three packed version. "

It further said that they had no estimated delivery date for a new shipment and that they had cancelled my order. After receiving this message, I went back to their site and checked the item. It was still listed as "Ships free today". Three days later, the item is still listed as in stock, only now the price is up to $109.97. This vendor is obviously playing games with its customers.
