Amanda horrible sales rep

"OMG STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. GO TO ANYYYYY other furniture store. These people don’t know what customer service is. The rudest in-store AND customer service I’ve ever dealt with. As first time home owners, my husband and I have had exceptional service from all other furniture stores, but we regretfully made the mistake to purchase from rooms to go- and will NEVER give them a cent again, and want to warn all of you about how they treat a customer.

Amanda (the salesperson) was the reason we went through hell. From the beginning, she was rushing us and pressuring us into purchasing the sectional and wanted us to hurry so she could tend to the next customer. When we finally decided to purchase the $2800 sectional, she didn’t do any explaining and just had us sign some papers. She then told us that the ottoman would only arrive 5 months later... but we had to pay for it now to get the set. So we paid for it and she told us that she once got the people to reliever it faster after bugging them (letting us know it was possible that we could get the ottoman earlier, but they just choose not to try that hard)

The sectional was delivered and happened to have two pieces that were wrong facing. Any normal store with NORMAL good customer service, would just take them back and deliver the right ones( rap considering the fact that a big part of our order would be delivered months later), but NO, not rooms to go. They charged us another $100. I absolutely hate this store and the way that we were treated. Overall, it is the worst customer service I’ve come across. I’m hoping this store just goes out of business or learns a thing or two from Nebraska furniture mart on how to treat a paying customer.

The Customer is INVISIBLE

"I visited Rooms to Go/Willowchase & Max welcomed me at the door. I told him what I was shopping for (adjustable bed) & he explained to me that he was new. Although I was unimpressed by Max’ appearance -wrinkled shirt, dandruff, etc- he was trying. I opted to browse & would call for Max should I need him; well, I did. I posed a query to Max that required the attention of a more seasoned sales rep. Max got an elderly, silver-haired guy wearing a red shirt. Because his shirt was red & most/all other’s shirts were blue, I assumed he was a manager of sorts. This “manager” treated me as if I was INVISIBLE. When Max asked him a question, that neither of us (Max or I) knew, and I attempted to clarify; the “manager” ignored me ALL TOGETHER.... he did this 2 or 3 times. Finally, the last comment I made, the “manager” acknowledged my voice and said, “you MUST BE CONFUSED!” When Max backed me on what the both of us had witnessed earlier the “manager” mumbled a slight apology & walked off. I couldn’t believe that a (pseudonym) profesional would display such unprofessional tones of action. Fortunately, directly across the walk was a Mattress Firm. I went there, was treated with the courtesy & respect a customer should be warranted & made the purchase of my adjustable bed. Thanks Christine (Mattress Firm) for knowing how to interact with a customer and subsequently making a sell. "

Japanese Maple destroyed

"My three year old Japanese Maple was destroyed during the delivery of my daughter's bedroom furniture. I followed all the steps to report the complaint submitting a statement accompanied by pictures of the damages. I received a call today and was informed that my claim would not be justified because the delivery men claim that they did not destroy the tree. Clearly, this is false! The tree was standing when they got there and was broken in half when they left. The boxes were unpacked within one foot of where the tree had stood. So the customer v. the delivery men results in the delivery men being assumed in the right and the customer in the wrong. Why would I report such a thing if it were not true. This LONG time Rooms To Go customer will never shop there again! P.S. It was advised that I should have been videoing the men at the time of delivery. So, heads up. Have your video camera out and recording during your next delivery!"

Beware of delivery people there theifs!

"purchased a couch from rooms to go and was having it delivered and the people they contracted to deliver the couch ended up stealing jewelry and money from our home when we were distracted by the three delivery men that did the stealing. and rooms to go would not make it right and told me I had to file a complaint with there corporate office. Which I did and they never did compensate us. "

"I purchased furniture in AL for my daughter. It was to arrive the next Thursday. Delivered to wrong house on wrong street. 2 people called customer service and tried to tell them the didn't get the product. It took delivery manager 5 days to contact customer service. This is wrong. Customer service can only do so much but headquarters failed. It has been almost a week and still NO delivery. The headquarters claim they have to pick up their mistake before they can fix their mistake and deliver what a customer purchased. WRONG way to treat your customers! "

CHEAP PRODUCT!!

"I purchace a Dinning room table. And it has'nt been a year. The table has bubbles in it. And the top is séparating from the table itself. They will not replace my table. The product is cheap!! I WILL NOT BE SPENDING ANY MORE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY WILL THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!"

I would rate it lower than one star if possible.

"This is the worst possible furniture buying experience. We bought a couch, love seat and table for a house in Florida. When the furniture was delivered, the table was damaged, which was called to our attention by the delivery crew. They noted it on their paperwork, and we were told that the company would call to arrange a new table. They didn't call, so we attempted to call customer service ourselves...what a nightmare. It is almost impossible to get a human on the phone. When we finally did, no one was too concerned, and we were told that the table we bought was no longer available. This had not been conveyed to us when we bought it, or we would have chosen something else. We were also told that corporate has no control over the stores, and that we should take it up with the store that we purchased from. We did, and that salesman at least TRIED to be helpful. He searched for our table, to no avail. We were told that we would receive a voucher for the table credit, as RTG does not refund. This seems ridiculous itself, since they were the ones who delivered a damaged table, but, at this point, we were ready to do anything. Trying to actually get the promised voucher was another nightmare...at this point, we still don't have it. I plan to take it up with VISA and refuse to pay that portion of the bill. I will never buy anything from RTG again, and you shouldn't either."

Bad Service

"Bought a Power Leather Recliner and paid over $1,000. The Recliner came 2 weeks later but without the power cord (and without the cord the recliner wouldn't work) . Movers told me that someone would call me about missing cord. Three days later when no one called I called customers service myself and they send me the cord. It took them another week to deliver the cord. Once we received the cord it turned out that the reclining mechanism wasn't working. Called customer service again and was told that the technician will come to see what's going on. He will write a report and someone else in the department then will decide what to do about it. I told them that i already waited for almost a month and don't want to wait even more while they are deciding on the report. I ask if i can return the item since i haven't use it at all and was told No. After long conversation with customer service they finally told me that they will replace the recliner. However, the shipment will be in 4 weeks. It will be 2 months from the moment I bought the chair to the time I can use it. If i knew it will take THAT LONG i wouldn't buy it from Rooms To Go. As a matter of fact, we are moving to a bigger house and thought that we would buy more furniture from them but not after that experience. Very disappointed!"

Disappointed with Supervisor Internet sales

"Once I get this bill paid off!! I WILL NEVER BUY S... ELSE FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL UNCARING A!! COMPANY! ROOMS TO GO! My family has spent thousands of dollars with this place for YEARS!!!!
Never Ever!!!!!! Have I been talked to by this need to be demoted or retrained man.. 1st I didn’t know y’all used 3rd party 2nd my packaged was dropped off no emails or nothing ! I’m thinking it was coming from Kids rooms to go. I can’t even lift the boxes!! I asked could I pay for delivery so they could assemble.. his smart mouth a!!! Just listen to the call that is it and all! F! rooms to go! I will be making a review of how y’all allow your employees to talk to the customers.. Smart mouth a! I just hung up on his a!!...
y’all even lied on what I just read about customer satisfaction .. If I get home and that sh!! not on my porch IM NOT PAYING FOR ****My house was broke into 2weeks moving in! That’s why I like to know when things will be delivered and by who so I can be there or have someone there..
Had I known I couldn’t have it assembled I would have picked something else... I didn’t read I’m not going to lie.. I just hit add to cart because my other bed came from y’all and a rooms to go truck came and they emailed and called for my appointment so I had been checking my emails waiting for a delivery date.. Only to get talked to CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible furniture store

"I bought a mattress, sofa set and bed. All of them are damaged in few months. I called them up for replacement, I faced horrible experience when dealing with replacement. Rude staff, once sale is done they don't care for customer. Very very bad quality furniture. Anyone shopping here be prepared for worst."

Poor Quality and Service

"We purchased a set of leather living room furniture and were high pressured to buy their three year extended Force Field Protection plan. Within two years we had problems with the leather on one of the chairs and even though we bought the protection plan, Rooms to Go would not even consider repairing or replacing the chair. Their furniture is of poor quality and sales people are most concerned with selling these protection plans. Go elsewhere."

"Spent thousands and the couch cushion sagged in after 8 months refused to fix or replace. Cindy Crawford should be ashamed of herself selling junk and ripping off military families, we saved up for so long :("

Electric Reclining Couch Broke - Corporate fixed.

"Had an issue with a couch I purchased a while back. The electronic switch was faulty/defective that controls the recliner function. Rooms to Go corporate assisted me in resolving the issue and all is working as it should."

Poor Delivery Service

"I really need to update my experiences with Room To Go (RTG). I write this with frustration, disappointment, and yes, some anger. This does not involve a delivery I had but a delivery my renters had. We had new renters that moved in and within a few days of their move in, they had a delivery of two sets of beds with mattresses. Besides getting the delivery wrong for them, the major issue I have is that the delivery company that RTG uses damaged the interior of my rental home's walls and stairs. The delivery occurred on 6 Jan 18 and since them I have been attempting to get some type of compensation for damages. The home is a split-level so it requires some slow maneuvering to get large items up both sets of stairs. The movers just wanted to get out of there and banged the rails going up the stairs, scratching the paint off. The walls going up both sets of stairs have long scratches in it and the corner literally was scraped to the drywall. One of the steps were broken.
I have talked to RTG without avail and am still waiting for someone from the company who delivers for RTG to call me. I am RTG feels that it is not their fault, but they are responsible for all companies that they contract out to deliver goods. All I want now is to be reimbursed for the damages of this. I have the pictures of the before and after the delivery. Since RTG is to redeliver the correct box spring size soon, I will be there. I cannot recommend RTG for any purchases unless you carry it out yourself. I on the other hand will never purchase from them again. If my renters make purchases from RTG, they know to contact me as I will be there again to make sure the delivery goes without damaging the home. I will keep you updated "if' I am contacted and reimbursed about the damages.

I am updating this based upon my last conversation with RTG. Remember now I just had new renters into the home. They were not even there three weeks and still unpacking! All RTG did was talk to a driver. They did not send anyone out to look at the damages, that clearly would reveal the delivery service errors. I would not recommend Rooms To Go to anyone based on their Delivery Services used. Nor will we make further purchases.


"In regards to your property damage claim, I regret to inform you that your claim has been denied. Based on the evidence provided, we will not hold our driver liable as the damage in your home is not consistent with that of 2 mattresses and a box spring. I also had a chance to speak with the driver on the claim and he advised me that your home was in that condition upon his arrival. I apologize for any inconveniences suffered, but South East Independent Delivery Services will not be moving forward with this claim."

**** AND FRUSTRATED

"Purchased a Stetson Sectional and cocktail table for around $2200. Took over 2 months to receive then had to have repairs due to the stitching coming out. Now under 2 years one of the three recliners has stopped working and customer service says nothing they can do. Spoke to a Nannette Oyola in corporate and she is worthless. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ROOMS TO GO AGAIN!!!!!!! NEVER They are selling crap products at premium prices and delivery all the way to customer service is horrible. So now we have a huge sofa that we can't use. Wonder if I should hang out at their stores and tell my store in person to potential customers. "
