Perfect replacement for OEM Part

"I have a Damon 28 foot motor home built on a Ford E-350 cutaway van. Recently, 1 of my serpentine belts started screeching at startup then for several seconds afterwards. I inspected them and determined which of the 2 belts was worn and showing signs of damage. I ordered a replacement for a 1995 Ford E-350 with the same engine size. I ordered on a Friday evening and received it on the following Monday morning, it was 4 days earlier than the promised date. It was fairly easy to remove and replace and it was an exact fit for the OEM belt. No more screeching at start up. Also the piece of mind that I won't be stranded if it breaks on the road is priceless, it was certainly worth the effort. not sure what it would have cost to have someone else do it, but this only set me back $22.00. Usually, I have to take it to a commercial vehicle service garage, and they aren't cheap."

2017 Ford Escape Tail Light Assembly

"I purchased a 2017 Ford Escape Tail Light Assembly. Aside from the cost (which was the least expensive I found) the assembly was swapped out in less than 10 minutes. It fit and functions perfectly. Yes it came with bulbs installed.

"I purchased a cabin air filter for 2018 Toyota Camry using their website it does not fit I took pictures video showing that this is what they recommend and what they sent me an even on their invoice it says it’s for 2018 Toyota Camry and yet it wasn’t and they want me to pay the shipping to send it back I will never buy from rock auto again and will try to inform as many people"

BUY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE

"I purchased a 100 dollar part and it came defective. (Verified by the Ford dealership)

Samual from crap auto said I have to pay for shipping to get another one even though the first one never did function. Then I was told I also can't get my money back. Only a replacement if I pay for shipping. This company had no idea what customer service is.

Wish I would have read reviews first. Nothing but negative reviews from across the board for similar reasons from third party sites. But if you look at rockauto.clm site, nothing but good reviews. Try leaving a review on there site. You can't.

Good luck trying to get a warranty replacement. There is NO warranty after they have your many.

They care more about 12 dollar shipping then keeping a customer.

Returns cost

"I ordered over $1,700 worth of parts and had 7 items that I did not use. When I tried to return them, I ended up having 4 different warehouses that I needed to return them to. I could not simply return all items to one place. The return shipping charges (YES, RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES) was going to cost me about half of what my refund was going to be. I guess I will just keep these 7 items and take my business back to the local box stores (Advance Auto, O'Reilly's, NAPA, etc). I should have just bought from them to begin with but wanted to try Rockauto. I won't be back. NOTE: I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING TO GET THEM AND THEN RETURN SHIPPING TO RETURN THE PARTS I DID NOT NEED TO 4 DIFFERENT RETURN WAREHOUSES. THIS LANGUAGE IS ON THE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS: "Returning parts to a different address will result in additional charges, or may cause the item to be lost.""

"Pay attention to the warranty. I ordered a thermostat housing which is described as fitting my vehicle and the receipt matches my vehicle engine, year, model, etc. Now I have a perfectly good part that will fit someone's vehicle, but because I did not get around to replacing it in time I am left with it and the cost of it. "

Incompetent and deceptive business

"I, too, would give a " 0 " if possible. They will not admit they sent wrong parts even though the parts were not even close to what I needed. Then, they will not refund cost of parts plus shipping because they are too arrogant to admit wrong! A BAD BUSINESS WITH HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I filed a complaint with BBB to no avail, as they offered NO reasonable resolution."

Warranty stinks for 30 days!

"Walmart and other stores have a longer warranty then Rock Auto. It's like buying from the government you have to fill out paperwork and wait for nothing to get done. I will not be buying from Rock Auto again. A 30 day return policy is rediculous. Buy from someone that gives you more time to find out that a part is bad. And then you have to go through so much to get a warranty from the factory. Times are tough now and people work hard for there money. Buy elsewhere. Even Walmart has a longer return period then this. What a joke!!!"

No customer service & will not help if your package does not deliver.

"Ordered parts for my Subaru on RockAuto thinking I was getting cheaper prices... My package ends up being "Delivered" both by RockAuto & FedEx however, I never received any parts. Contacted both the customer service of RockAuto and FedEx where they claimed they were 'investigating' it... STILL did not receive my parts and now Rock Auto is not offering replacement parts OR a refund. And YES the information I filled out on the website was 100% correct.

NEVER purchasing anything here ever again.

Sends you defective parts, untested, and tries to make you pay for their incompetence.

"I bought a $200 Deka Intimidator battery from Rock Auto Parts, and the battery arrived sulfated and at only half charge, the battery was at 6.5V and it should have been 12+ volts and not sulfated. To top it off, to find out that the battery was dead, I paid another $170 to get a tester to find out they sent me a dead battery. They wanted me to pay shipping to send it back and that was totally unacceptable to me, so I went through Deka and I am in the process of getting another battery paid for by Deka, that they will be purchasing through Oreille's Auto Parts. Long story short, this was my first and last purchase from RockAutoParts, avoid them like the plague.

Worst Customer Service Ever

"The worst thing is to have a problem and have no one to talk to or the ability to get answers immediately. You can only correspond through email.

It started by purchasing the wrong parts. The website part sold a Control Arm Kit with all the parts needed to restore a total front end on a 1999 Tahoe for $518.00. The shipment came in three boxes. I requested authorization to return the part and they gave me on return label of something that came in three boxes.

They take 2 to 3 business days to credit you account or give you store credit. The day I talked to them about the store credit they said my return had no reached the warehouse yet. It arrived at the warehouse at 9:40 am the same day. Because the only do credits Mon - Fri and not on Sat, they forced me to wait an extra two days to get the coupon just to get the parts I needed. With them doing that, it cost another week of my vehicle sating on a lift.

This will be the last time I purchase anything from RockAuto. They are not really the cheapest part dealer when you include the shipping. I've found that I can get the same part for maybe two or three dollars more and have someone I can talk to if I have problems. Of all the online services, this has been the worst I have ever been treated.

I will do everything in my power to spread this commit so others can see the true side of Rock Auto so people is not taken for the add being played on television. I know they will remove this commit.

Rock Auto sells re-packaged, missing parts or completely incorrect

"Purchased shocks for my son, missing all hardware red shocks re-packaged in yellow shock boxes. Since he was down in Florida, I fixed the problem through the vendor. My brother purchased all new struts, sent incorrect ones, also in a Florida. Just received brake pads, re-wrapped, no way to identify, missing hardware, website wants to charge me for shipping and re-shipping, ridiculously poor service. "
