" I orderd a part which never made it to me, was returned in transit by FedEx. RockAuto decided the return shipping cost was more than the price of the part, so they informed me they were "not able to provide a refund." THEN!!!! - When I opened a dispute through PAYPAL, they immediately contacted me saying they would proccess a refund if I closed the dispute. I did close it and they ghosted me. Thank you to PAYPAL for re-opening the dispute and PAYPAL refunded my money. I hope PAYPAL goes after these f**king ****."

Rockauto sux

"They have no customer service support at all by telephone or chat or even email. You have a problem it's all done through website by refund or exchange. They make nothing right if you need the part asap they make you pay shipping which is $200 for expedited even though it's their fault.

This company is a sham.

Good prices customer service nah so good

"The returns policy is bad and in some case impossible so you might end up with parts your ordered at a cheaper price and can't be returned if they don't fit or work properly.. it's a shame.. good prices but in all the customer service it's below avarage."

Sells knock-off parts and zero customer service

"The item ordered from rockauto.com (part number KI1249120), which is also pictured (attached) from their website is not compatible with my vehicle even though it is listed as the correct part number. I have attached and circled (in red) locations of part that’s completely missing from the poorly manufactured mold/part. This part is detrimental to securing to the vehicle as well as providing structural support to keep debris from entering the wheel well of vehicle. The part received from RockAuto is an obvious inferior knock-off of the original OEM part pictured on their website. What I received from RockAuto.com does not look anything like what was pictured on their website upon ordering nor does it match the existing OEM part it was claimed to replace. This is very misleading to the buyer/consumer/myself who rely on a part number with an accurate visual representation upon ordering.

When attempting to issue a return on RockAuto.com, they use a “lottery” type system to either accept or deny returns. RockAuto (on their website) simply denied because of the price of the knock-off/inferior part ordered, they would not issue a refund. What’s more, RockAuto does not offer any customer facing telephone number or email for more information or assistance.

I’m stuck with an imitation part which does not fit my car and could cause accidental damage to the vehicle (and/or driver) if installed. This is a safety hazard and great concern for me. Therefore, I am requesting a refund in the full dollar amount of $28.45.

Online Purchase of Auto Parts is just a Bad Idea

"Ordered and installed the Gold quality starter motor, after 90 days the part failed. Of course, no refund, but a manufacturers replacement policy where I pay the shipping to return the failed part, an extra $35. The process for the new part took about two weeks. RockAuto policy is that there is no customer service person to speak with. Never again will I order auto parts on the internet, next time I will stop at the local NAPA Auto parts store."

A parts company run by children

"Rock Auto has outgrown their own abilities. These people can't even supply simple brake parts. I rec'd damaged rotors; ripped from boxes, scuffed, chipped and dented. Returned them; Rock Auto sent all the Exact Damaged parts back to me again. They clearly do not have the capacity for the parts business."

Rock Auto is HORRIBLE! Absolutely HORRIBLE!

"Rock Auto is horrible. Absolutely horrible!

I have ordered three headlights from Rock Auto, the first two were not assembled correctly so I had to pay their ridiculous fee to ship it back, roughly $90.00 (not my fault for your faulty product) I want to be refunded.

So I ordered another light and upgraded by roughly an additional $400.00 to hopefully ensure the product would not be faulty/improperly put together. I received the third headlight today September 13,2023 and it’s missing all the electrical, it’s only a shell, all this for over a $1000!
This was not in the description!!

The description and the picture clearly stated a fully assembled headlight assembly with adaptive headlight control, why would the first two RockAuto sent have all the parts at $600 but the third one at $1000 doesn't?!!

Rock Auto clearly sent the wrong product and are expecting me to pay roughly $90 (again) to ship the wrong product they sent back to them.

Their service attendant said it was my fault! And closed the ticket.
My fault? Unbelievable, RockAuto is disgusting in every sense of the term.

They owe me close to $180 in shipping costs.

Go anywhere else, I mean anywhere, even if it’s a tad more expensive, you’ll thank yourself.

Refund

"Parts didn't fit. Had to pay fore return as well. The third box didn't get a label and called for a week and no answer. Paid almost 46 dollars and that doesn't get refunded to me even though they made the mistake on the label. Worst customer service. They ****. NEVER AGAIN."

Ridiculously bad customer service

"You pay extra for expedited next day shipping in my case $100 and the item doesn't arrive for 4 days. Then I have to pay to return the item they're unwilling to make any adjustments to shipping or return costs. Despite multiple emails to them from me and me reaching out to UPS who said that if they contacted them they could make the adjustment they won't do it"

Buyer be ware!!

BUYERS BE WARE!!!
So I purchased a bunch of parts for 96 Suburban. One item was a Spider injection assembly FJ504 Standard Motor Products, A/C Delco was available at the time of purchase. About a week later the built in fuel pressure regulator went out. I try to contact RockAuto to avail and even emailed them, no response. They asked in a questionnaire if it is an item I could repair and the cost of repair. To my surprise I NEVER HEARD BACK, It cost $600 bucks to have the shop go back in and replace a DEFECTIVE fuel pressure regulator. I am always looking for a great deal on auto parts but to not get back to your customer. Shame on you RockAuto!

"I received my order today, I opened the box and inside was an unknown, un-labeled pair of pads rapped up in an old blue rag. Like WTF. are you kidding. Then of course there is no way to contact these people. Needed this vehicle for weekend, had to go to Part Source for pads. Id leave a photo here if I could. What a joke. Glad I only got ripped for a small amount. Lesson learned, never again. "

"ORDERED 4 NEW PORSCHE ROTORS TO BE COATED FROM RUST AND NOT TO MAKE NOISE . HAD THEM INSTALLED , THEY STARTED MAKING NOISE AND WHEN I WASHED THE CAR THE ROTORS WERE COVERED IN RUST . Worst company ever

"I think it's hilarious that the hobby lobby reviews show $55,000 reviews all are five star! That is hilarious and if RockAuto thinks we're that stupid to believe it that speaks volumes about what they think about customers. I've had the worst experiences with rockauto!
