"On Saturday Dec. 16th 2023, about an hour before it closed, I came to the Cyclegear store in Woburn MA, because the hemet I bought online was too small. The biggest size, but for a different head shape. I thought it would be a good idea to go get one from the pro's. My friend told me he would buy it for me for Christmas, so off we went.

What a joke. Enter the store to no greeting. There were no other customers. We just didnt rate interrupting the conversation of the employees behind the counter.

Head over to the helmet section, realize I could spend far more than an hour there just trying on random helmets, and that a few of them weren't even in the right places according to the logos and the price tags.

Head over to interrupt the conversation to ask: "So how does one size a helmet properly? I'm not sure how to know what sizes to look at?"

I had my question repeated back to me in a condescending tone like it was the stupidest question ever. "How do you size a helmet?"

I explained my online ordering mistake and was told "Every maker has different standards so... just try them all on."

So just shove my face into everything i see that might work... Not the best thing to hear in a post Pandemic world.

I said I had a big head, and he tried to point out a few, but when I said the ones he was pointing out were about double what we were looking to spend he just kind of wandered off.

I found one myself eventually. Didn't physically hurt my skull. If there were other checks I should have made to know if it was a proper fit, I was not enlightened. And it was on discount.

Bought it. Got home and realized I needed a pinlock lens. The visor will just fog up without it.

Was that brought up in store? No. No one thought to mention it.

Hell I would have paid just to have it installed properly, because after going on revzilla to order one, I finally got it delivered after over two weeks, to realize I need to adjust the pinlocks to make it flush, and I don't have the 5 ml hexagon and 20 whatever screwdriver tools to do it. Something i was never made aware I might need. Now I can either go back online to find the right tools or find a hardware store. Then maybe I'll be able to safely ride.

I'll never do business with your store, or, what I now realize is your equally useless partner website ever again.

I feel like this store or Monopoly or whatever you want to call it, exists somewhere beneath pig excrement but above rectal cancer. Congrats on finding your niche.
