"I was very impressed with the ease of the order. Chat window worked well and the attendants were very helpful. I ordered a remote for my 2008 Toyota Avalon. Received it in just a few days. Took it to a locksmith that had the programmer and after going through the sequence it kept telling him that it was unable to communicate with the device. He said it was probably the battery. Nice guy he didn't charge me for the failed attempt that took nearly an hour of his time. Then I called the company and was told to take it to Home Depot to have it tested. Home Depot did not have a tester but I found a battery store that did. The remote seemed to test as good but when he tested the battery it tested low so I paid $10.50 for a new battery. Took it back to the locksmith and he tried again but failed. This time he charged $50.00. When I called to ask for a return they implied that I was supposed to have the locksmith call them to walk him through what he already knew how to do. They did give me a return authorization but charged a 18 percent restocking fee even after sending them the receipts for the failed programming and new battery. So bottom line they charged $125.00 for a new remote. I spent $10.50 for a battery, $50 for failed programming and $22.50 restocking fee. Nearly $85.00 and got nothing! I can't even remember the last time that I returned something that I bought on the internet and was charged for it! By the way, they have a neat way to get you to review them during the checkout process. Those are the 5 star review you see them so proudly showing on their front page."
"I bought a key fob for my 2015 Forester and could not find anyone to successfully program it. I contacted replacemyremote.com and they just replied "sorry, can't help you". I wouldn't buy anything from this company. They are the antonym of Custer service. You'd be better off throwing your money off the top of a building."
"Tried to return a fob for refund strictly following company policy...with RMA, mailer, etc. Company support person lectured me about how I did not follow instructions, which I did follow to a T. When I called support person to task, they claimed they were "insulted" by my comments and refused to facilitate my refund!!! Over a month has passed and this company has kept my money (about $65.00) after returning remote. DO NOT do business with this company....they do NOT live up to obligations and are dishonest."
