"First, I will say the Saturn Sky is a difficult vehicle for which to find a service manual! However, this is NOT the manual I am looking to find. The exploded views are indecipherable, the manual itself is a series of rabbit trails which, in my case led nowhere. Finally, the cancellation policy keeps you "on the hook" for the entire year with no other recourse."

"If you have ever been stressed about another repair issue and the cost associated with having a mechanic do the repairs, check this website out. "Not long after buying an almost-vintage, 1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas, I started looking for the repair manual(s) I have purchased for just about every car I've ever owned--either Haynes®, Chilton® or both. I soon discovered that there wasn't a current, in-print edition for my particular car in either of those manuals, and after searching for several days, even the one or two USED copies I found available were outrageously priced or damaged or some other issue that made me hesitant to make the purchase. Next, I looked online for an OEM version of the service manual that would have been used in the Jaguar dealerships back when the car was current and nearly swallowed my tongue when I saw the $450 US price!

The car already had a few issues that I wanted to fix myself (mostly because all five mechanics in my little town refused to work on a Jaguar!) and I was starting to think I was going to have to just "wing it" and hope for the best!

I decided to make one last effort and contacted the Jaguar Enthusiasts club online and someone mentioned Repair Surge. I was a little hesitant to purchasing something that was a yearly subscription, but it was less than $20 and I didn't feel I had much to lose at that point, so I clicked SUBSCRIBE, entered my information on their secure encrypted site and just a couple clicks later, I had full access to the complete, OEM Jaguar Repair manual! It listed everything from Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedures to the individual specs (like torque ratings) and best of all....when you get to whatever it is you're looking for--say for example, fuel pump replacement procedures....included at the end of the easy to read PRINTABLE instructions are links to places online where you can order the part(s), which is very convenient! (I will say if you're a Jaguar owner, in most cases you can find parts more affordably than the ones linked to from the repair manual, BUT those links often have the actual PART NUMBERS that you'll need for searching and/or ordering the parts you need).

The manual is completely searchable, too! No need to scour the index hoping to find what you need, just type in a term or two in the search box and get a list of everything related to the term/part.

I've recently sold the Jaguar and moved back to a domestic vehicle....and even though there are both a Haynes® and a Chilton® manual available for my new car, I'm not even going to bother with them....instead, I'm just going to subscribe through Repair Surge.....I'll bet you will do the same once you give them a try!"

"I was having issues with a check engine light on my Escalade. I was able to pull up the wiring diagram, print it out, and use it in the truck while trouble shooting. My issue was with the canister purge solenoid. The illustrated parts breakdown helped me locate the device under the chassis and I was able to replace it myself for a lot less than a repair shop would have charged.
