"I saw a lot of negative about Race-Mart and wondered if I should buy from them. Took the chance and am 100% satisfied. Before placing my order I was concerned about the fit for my vehicle so I called. Bob was more than helpful. We discussed my concerns and he asked for my phone number and would call back. Within an hour he called telling me he had talked with the manufacturer. We then determined the correct part number. After that I placed my order online. Part arrived in good shape, via regular ground shipping, in 5 days. Will order from Race-Mart again."

"Pretty terrible. They had an ad up stating free shipping on orders of Koni. turns out they didnt, (most companys cannot give discounts on koni) then i got an email from some jerk paul that says i misread it ... he could of said "im sorry we misplaced the ad" or "could I help you with a different purchase""

"I was very surprised when Paul Fink called me asking about the trim level of my truck to locate vehicle specific part and also informed me that my Bully Dog GT gas tuner (that was ordered this morning) will be shipped on Monday. This is an example of going beyond customer expectations. Keep up the great work guys!

***UPDATE*** 9/26/2011
My Bully Dog GT gas tuner was scheduled to be shipped on the 19th but the shipping slip stated that my item shipped on the 20th and I recieved it on the 21st, other than that there were no issues with Race Mart or the shipping company (UPS). I did call several times and 9 out of 10 times I spoke with Paul Fink, he was very helpful getting me any and all information I requested about my shipment. This is a great seller and I will be doing business with them in the future. Once again.... Keep up the great work guys!

"I guess I should have read the reviews first. Below is the e-mail I sent.

Regarding order #18512, HOL-703-47, placed on 08/07/2011. You billed my account on 08/08/2011 for the amount of $36.39, As of
08/12/2011, I still have not received the parts ordered. I called and spoke to Bob with the order number and requested the status of the order. He took my information and said he would call me right back. I waited 45 minutes and once again called to request the status of my order. I was told by you, that Bob had left, my order was shipped to the wrong address, and I would have to wait for the order to be picked back up and reshipped to me. As per our conversation, I am cancelling my order, and you can then remove me from your records as an account holder. Hopefully, you will credit the right account!!

The best price is not always the best way to go!!

"Steer clear! This place sucks. I placed an order on June 12, and as of July 29, still have not received it. When I placed my order for a winch, they never mentioned that it was on backorder. 11 days after I ordered, I called to see why I had not received it. They forgot to tell me that it was on backorder. They sure didn't forget to charge my CC right away though. By July 13 (31 DAYS LATER!), I had enough and requested a refund. They said they'd get right on it. Well you guessed it, it's now July 29th, and I'm still out $180. I've been on the phone with these guys a bunch of times, and it's always "we'll get right on it, we'll look into it, blah blah" All talk, no results.

What kind of company takes a customer's money, and never even calls or emails to say that the product is backordered? I've spent tens of thousands of dollars in the past few years on my racing "addiction", and every reputable company will not take your money until they ship you what you paid for.

Unfortunately, I've had to dispute this transaction. Don't be sucked in by Race-mart's low prices! They are thieves and liars. Spend a few extra bucks and buy from Summit or Jegs, instead of this fly by night scammer!

- And how was I supposed to know this? Your website didn't indicate that, nor did anyone from Race-mart advise me of this. Common courtesy would dictate a phone call or e-mail to give me a heads up.

Then you step up your BS with a straight out lie. You stated "When the cancellation was requested , the order had progressed beyond the point of no return as the manufacture had already shipped it to the distribution center"

Well here's your email to me from July 18th, after I requested a refund. "Hi James, We had to wait for a confirmation from the manufacturer that the cancellation was accepted. We just did get an email back from them. This will be processed no later than tomorrow morning.

So which is it? Did they ship it before I asked for a refund, or did they accept the cancellation? I don't know, since you claimed both are true.

Looks like someone got caught.

The reviews for your business are terrible. Instead of blaming the customer like you always do, why don't you man up? Use it as an oppurtunity to make your business better?

"BUYER BEWARE. Don't be fooled by the fancy website. Paul is nothing more than a drop shipper who operates out of his home. If you buy product from him and don't have to return it you may get lucky but if you need to return the item that is when the nightmare starts. I bought a $200 starter from Race Mart only to find it didn't fit my car. Following their "Terms of sale and return" you must obtain a RMA# return merchandise authorization. I sent an e mail stating that the part didn't fix and that I had bought another starter elsewhere and needed an RMA# to return the part. Paul, the "President" responded asking questions about my car but did not provide an RMA. After several more days of e mails from me asking again and again for the RMA# Paul responded and had the nerve to accuse me of be beligerent and said they only accepted returns from courteous customers per the terms of their doing business. Whats with that? Then he said I would have an RMA# in a couple of days. A week and half later I get the RMA#. I mailed back the starter immediately but now two more weeks and no credit to my credit card. It's now a month from my original request to return the product. If you read other complaints they all have Paul quoting his company's "terms of doing business" even though he violated his terms in doing business with me. His terms of doing business favor his company and not the customer.Information from this company is not readily forthcoming and only after several calls and e mails do you get a response and then it is with a lot of attitude. I have contacted my credit card company and will file a complaint with the Florida BBB and Attorney General.This is a very unfriendly company to do business with. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.Do business with reputable companies like Summit Racing

Finally after a month I finally got an e mail from Paul stating my credit card would be credited but not for the full price. They deducted 30% with no explanation. No reason for Paul taking 30% of my money. All of my inquiries to Paul have gone unanswered.

"I was looking for an MSD distributor and every one was sold out, Even summit, and the manufacture. I even checked all my local auto centers and nothing, but Race-Mart had it. I was hesitant to order from them with all the negative feed back, but it was gamble given everywhere else was a month out. Needles to say shipment arrived the very next day I am in Michigan as well. Very pleased and satisfied. The beat every ones prices hands down.... Thanks again

"I order a set of Koni Shocks from Race Mart and inquired via email (through the website) about the status of the order and the possibility of cancelling the order a few days after ordering. Never got a response so I called back 3 times over the next week and a half, each time saying he would look into the order and give me a call back which never happened.

Then, today, two weeks after ordering I call again and get the same response. This time an hour later I get an email saying my orders been canceled with a 10% special order cancellation fee. I email back saying I wanted to know the status of the order before deciding if I want to cancel. Then I get a call response to my email saying he cancelled the order a week ago (which I never knew about). Then, he could not refund the cancellation fee because those are the "terms" and I should have called before I ordered to know the status of the items which I know would have gotten me nowhere since and never called me back when he said he'd look into the order.

I would be glad to pay the cancellation fee if I actually agreed to cancel the order. Now I have wasted 60 dollars and two weeks of time the latter of which is most important and is the reason I was considering cancelling the order. I feel they should have at least refunded the cancellation fee and I could deal with the wasted two weeks.

EDITED for response to Paul's comment (8/3/2011):
I never received any expected delivery date, not through email and not through the phone. I was never even notified it was special order or in stock. I also never asked to cancel the order, I asked for an ETA of the arrival because I was considering cancelling the order. I do understand the terms of sale and the cancellation policy but the latter should have never been part of this transaction in the first place.

Just FYI, shortly after you cancelled my order, I purchased the shocks from a different website (ProParts USA) and the day after they were purchased I got an email saying they needed to be special ordered and giving me a time frame then asked me if I wanted to keep it on back order. This seems like what any company with decent customer service would do, and the total price of the shocks ended up cheaper!

I think a refund of the cancellation fee would be the least you could do since I never asked to cancel the order.

"This place is horrible, do not order from them! I called in to check availability of a few parts, they said they were in stock at a distribution center and will be shipped immediatly when I placed an order. So I placed an order. Over a month later, still no parts, still no sign of shipment. I keep calling and they keep saying they will call me back- and guess what... no one has ever called me back. This happened at least 4 times. I'm now filling a compliant with the BBB and a fraud charge with my credit card."

"Paul was great.Tried extra hard to get what I wanted but the manufacture just quit building it.So he got me a good deal on a replacement. Shipped when was told and arrived on time. Emailed tracking when he was notified everything went as hoped. Very important for us here in Alaska. Will do more with race-mart in future for sure.

"I will never deal with this company again. They have lost my business and my friends business. They did not send me any shipping information until the day before I received the items ordered. After receiving the items and finding out that they would not work on my vehicle I tried to contact them with no luck by phone. Emails took days to get back. When I finally received an email in return I was told they would not take back the items as they were "special order" and they do not do returns on "special orders". I was never informed that they were "special order". My last email that I received told me in so many words told me that I was on my own and that I would have to sell them myself.

I would not recommend this company for anything at all to anyone. If you read this comment... I highly advise you to NOT purchase/order ANYTHING from Race-Mart.


Added: NO WHERE on the race-mart web site for the mufflers I ordered or when I called in to make the ordered was I informed that that these were not in stock or a special order item. Had I been told or if I could have seen on the web site that the mufflers I was ordering were not in stock or that they were a special order item I would not have ordered these from this company.

"FANTASTIC people to work with!! I received what turned out to be the wrong part --although both Racemart and I had verified the number prior to ordering. I was attempting to install this part on a Saturday. I sent a very strongly worded email to Racemart ..and received an email later that day, on a Saturday, from the owner, Paul Fink, assuring me that we would get the problem resolved. Since then, Paul and I have exchanged several emails and phone conversations because this proved to be a real "stumper." Bottom line is that the problem rests with Volvo. Their part number is incorrect --and affects this part whether is comes from Volvo, Denso, NTK, Bosch. Paul has been GREAT thruout this ordeal --unlike Volvo wich has to be one of the WORST companies I have ever been unfortunate enough to do business with. The arrogance and lack of customer care of Volvo North America is UNBELIEVABLE!"

"Ordered a set of brake pads that were in “stock”, however, when I called two weeks later to see if it was shipped yet, I found out that they had to be ordered from the manufacturer and should be available in about 4 weeks from the date of the order. After 4 weeks have passed I called back several times and every time somebody would say that they will call me back after researching my order, but never did. After waiting for 45 days without receiving my order, or any indication that it will be sent soon, I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Currently the case is still being reviewed by the credit card company, but I hope to get my money back soon. Stay away from this company! If you do not want to wait months for your order then spend an extra dollar or two and buy from a much more reputable company. "
