"I made the purchase on 6/30 and after calling and finding out the the bulb was on "backorder" I cancelled my order and purchased from B&H instead. I was told 7-10 days for the refund. well its been almost 90 days later and NOTHING!! This is the worst scam I have ever heard of. the best part is no one will do anything about it. not the BBC, FIC, FCC, consumer affairs, no one. It may only be $312 of my money but how many thousands have they taken. I'm filing criminal theft charges in Atlanta and NYC. I will fly to ATL for court if i have to and I assure you that I will get much more than $300 as trying to put this company to its end is worth more than money. "

"My wife ordered a bulb from these scammers in June for my birthday. Since that time the wrong bulb was delivered and she has been attempting to return it with less than stellar results. Waiting months for a resolve is excessively irritating. My wife tried to order me abulb for my theater room without my knowledge as a surprise for my birthday in JUNE in which she received the wrong lamp. I have since order the correct one through another company and still have not seen an RMA # or my money re-deposited in my account. I need this issue resolved immediately as this lamp is useless to me. "

"I ordered a replacement bulb on 6/11/08. I never received the bulb. I called several times over a 2 month period and every time they said the bulb was on back order. I canceled my order on 8-7-08. They told me it would take 30 days to get my refund but it only took them 2 days to charge my card. Well 30 days passed and still no refund. I called the computer and they said i needed to talk to the accounting department. Not to my surprise the accounting department was a recording said that if you need a refund leave your account #, name and a phone number and they'll get back to you. I place my initial order 06/11/08 and now it's 9/16/08. After all of my years of buying things off line this is by far the worse experience i've ever had"

"I ordered a Sony rear projection bulb on 08-05-08 and my credit card was charged immediately. I also paid for 2 day air delivery. After 4 days and no bulb, I called and was told it was on back order from the supplier. I told them to cancel the order and credit my credit card. They said their policy was to cut a check thirty days later and send it to me. I called today, 09-10-08, and learned it was "in the cut" to be written. After reading the reviews, which I wished I had done before hand, I probably won't see the check for another thirty days, if that soon. I will be calling my cc company to contest the charge. If they are holding money this long and have trouble with their suppliers getting product to them, you might think the company is in trouble, inept and incompetant."

"It turned out to be very difficult to obtain a replacement bulb for my projector- this appears to be a dark secret that you don't get told when you buy a projector. I turned to projectorlampcenter.com to order two bulbs ($800 plus shipping $90, plus duties/brokerage fees of $180, for total of $1070; Canadian store might have been able to get me the bulbs for about $1500, so I thought it was worth trying this esite). In the end, the order was delivered, but it was incredibly difficult dealing with these people- they are either incredibly disorganized and inept, or unable/unwilling to be honest about what is happening with an order. Your credit card gets charged within minutes of the order, but the order then falls into a black hole. It took me about 15 very long (one live chat was over an hour and a half- if you use live chat,which I suggest you do, because they will tell you anything by phone and you won't have a record, I recommend noting the times on every chat submission, which you can print out to have a record)and painful chats in order to get the order. Every rep had a different story and excuse, and I got many different stories from the same reps! I thought I had been taken and was about to kiss my money goodbye, when the bulbs showed up. I was even more surprised that the bulbs work. Not sure what the answer is, but you should know that this is a very difficult company to work with- customer reps all seem nice and say the right things, but you will get many stories that will frustrate you."

"My experiences with this merchant have all been unsatisfying. The last order took 4 months to ship because it had gotten "lost in the computer". Yet they managed to charge the credit card right away...Their prices are better then most, but their service is horrible and I can't trust them to complete an order without any hassle. I will pay more with another merchant I can depend on."

"I ordered a projector lamp on May 5th. After over two months of "Unfortunately our vendor has had to push back the eta on this order", I asked for a refund. On July 11, I got a cancellation number and was told the refund will post on my account within 30 days. After 35 days, I called my credit card company to force the refund. What a hassle!!"

"I ordered a lamp on 6/30/2008 for a projector I own. Their site said nothing of backorder or out of stock, so I purchased. WOW DO I REGRET IT! A week later I hadn't recieved a shipping confirmation or any evidence of an order being fulfilled. But they did charge my AMEX the day of the purchase, fyi. I talked to one of their Live Chat support reps and was informed the product was backordered and out of stock. Nice of them to let me know. I then cancelled my order and received a cancellation number as proof. A month later and still no refund on my AMEX. Currently I am disputing the charge and reporting this terrible place to the BBB. I really dont understand how places like this are allowed to stay in business."

"I wish I had checked these reviews before I ordered. I had the same experience other dissatisfied customers have had. My credit card was billed immediately. After a week wait I called. I was give an estimated ship date the next week. This went on 3 more times. The last time, I was promised a ship date of yesterday, 7/24. Needless to say it didn't happen. I called today to cancel and they tell me it may take up to 30 days for my card to be credited! Reading the previous reviews I have little confidence that will happen, so I just disputed the charge with my credit card company. I chose this vendor because it was the top PAID advertiser on a Google search of ‘replacement projector lamps.’ It’s an error to think Google makes any sort of check on their advertisers, other than that they pay their bills to Google. "

"If you haven't gotten a clue from the other reviews... wake up!

This company should have a class-action lawsuit against them any second - any lawyers interested out there? They charge your credit card the minute you order and then... you wait (to get taken). No product, no word, no nothing.

Your only recourse is to dispute the charge through your credit card company which takes months. Projector Lamp Center may agree to refund but never seems to follow through and contact with them is nearly impossible. Find another reputable company to buy projector equipment from.

"Ordered Samsung lamp on 6/9/08. Credit card charged the same day. Found out two days later bulb is on indefinite backorder. Cancelled order. 20 days and multiple e-mails later no refund of credit card charge. Buyers beware do not buy from them."

"Order placed for HD72 Replacement Lamp on 5-13-08. Order paid via debit visa card with to sum of 362.99. Order not received by 6-13-08. Order subsequently cancelled via phone on 6-13-08. Customer Service contacted regarding refund on 6-20-08, I was informed refund would be received within 10 business days. No refund recieved by 6-27-08. Customer Service contacted again, was told refund would be processed within 30 days. I "Googled" the company and found others who have had same issues with company, not receiving refunds up to 5+ months. Will not do business with this company again!"

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They appear to be a shell site that collects credit card payments and then forwards orders to a fulfillment company. Your credit card will be billed immediately no matter how long the backorder time will be for the products. Requests for credit will be ignored. They promise refunds when you call customer service, but credits are never posted.

Very disappointing!

"Placed an order online on 3/19/2008. After waiting 5 business days for my item to be shipped, there was no update. I contacted thier company to check on the order status. I was assured the order would be sent out the next day. After waiting another week, the item still had not been shipped. I ended up having to cancel my order."
